An Angel's tattoo.
"Daddy... ?" Buffy asked with much trouble when she woke up and saw that her father was standing next to her bed.
He touched her forehead, comforting her.
"I'm right here honey." he said.
Buffy tried to sit up, but that didn't go so well, she looked around in the room, it seemed as if she was looking for someone.
"Where's mom ?" she asked.
Hank, Buffy's father told her where he'd last seen her and that she hadn't come back inside ever since.
"What happened ? Why am I in the hospital ? What's going on here daddy ?" Buffy immediately forgot about her problems with her parents and all she wanted now was their comfort.
"You have some kind of tattoo burned on you, it was just there, letter after letter till the word was there, well, that's what they told me." he explained.
"The word ?" Buffy was confused, how could she have a cut from a dream one day, and a word tattooed on her arm a next day.
"Yeah, eum... it was..." Hank was gonna say the word, but Buffy interrupted him.
"Angel...." she said, thinking back to the mysterious man.
"Yeah, how'd you know... ?" before he could finish his sentence something happened, Buffy's body began to shake and Buffy
was unconscious again.
"Buffy ?!" Hank yelled.
He ran outside the room and called out for help, a few doctors and nurses came running to the rescue.
"Oh dear god, please let my baby be okay, please..." he prayed.

"Hello, sir. I'm doctor Carter."
"What's wrong, what happened to her ?" Hank asked when the doctor had stabilised Buffy.
"I think we'd better sit down. Is her mother around ?" the doctor asked.
"I don't know, I think she went out to take a walk, I don't know, just tell me what's happening with Buffy, I need to know."
Hank practicly begged.
"We have no idea what's happening to your daughter sir. , the unknown tattoo on her arm, the way it appeared, was something we had never seen before. And what happened earlier, there's no explanation for that."
Hank stood up and looked trough the window of the room Buffy was in.
"Do you know anything ?"
"That's why I wanted you to sit down, Buffy's heart isn't functioning that well, if I am correct, then she hasn't got that long to live. But I've never seen this with such a young girl, as far as I know, only very old people have this kind of heart failure."
the doctor explains.
"What kind is it ?"
"When people dy of old age, it's mostly because their heart doesn't have the energy of pumping anymore, it slows together with the mind, the mind is old too, and it's tired of strugling to survive, so when the mind shuts down, the heart shots down too. It's very unlikely to happen with someone of this age with a perfect health history, but it is happening."
"Can you do anything to stop it ?" Hank asked.
"No, we can only slow it down, but that is all, the rest is up to your daughter, if she fights real hard, she might be able to stop it, but nothing is sure at this point."
"If you slow it down, but she can't beat it, then how long before she dies ?"
"Two, maybe three days if she's lucky. I'm sorry sir." the doctor says and walks away.

Hank goes back into Buffy's room, he has tears in his eyes, Buffy is awake again and she sees it.
He sits down next to her bed.
She's having trouble breathing.
"I'm dying, arn't I ?" she asks with even more trouble to talk then before.
"Oh, no, sweetheart, no, you're not gonna dy, you just have to fight, save your energy and fight this, whatever this is, you have to fight, promisse me ?"
"I'm so sc... scared and so... tired... daddy..." she cries too now.
"Now, you promisse me, that you'll fight, promisse me... promisse." He demands.
"I promisse, I promisse daddy."
Hank stays at her bedside as she falls asleep, he holds her hand trough all of it, he never lets go.
