The tow truck gently sits the wrecked form of KITT in the Summer's driveway. Michael, Xander, Willow, and Tara are standing around KITT.
MICHAEL-
"Buddy, can you hear me? KITT?"
KITT-

WILLOW-
"KITT, hi...it's me Willow."
KITT-
"Hello....Wil....Wil...Wil...(BUZZ) Willow."
WILLOW-
"Hi...can you run an internal diagnostic." She reaches underneath the hood and pulls in a printer. It starts printing. "Whoa...."
XANDER-
"What is it?"
WILLOW-
"All sorts of systems and sub-systems failure. Michael, he wasn't just hit by something."
MICHAEL-
"Devlin told me about a break in some one of our research labs. It was a combination heat laser and EMP device."
WILLOW-
"EMP? That would explain a lot."
XANDER-
"So, the question is: who fired the DVD laser."
TARA-
"EMP not DVD."
KITT-
"W.W.W.W.....Wilooow. Connect mmy video cam..cam...camera."
WILLOW-
"Hold on....okay....there it is." On the camera, the black van is speeding towards the camera...until the camera is knocked out. "It's that damn black van, again."
MICHAEL-
"No....back up the video.....you see that red light bar. It's KARR."
At the hospital, Buffy is sitting next to Dawn. Besides a broken leg, she also has two broken ribs and a concussion. The doctors want her to stay for one night. Buffy walks out of the hospital. In the parking lot, KARR starts his engine.
