"Buffy!" Spike yelled as he ran outside after her. She stopped, turned around, and looked at him. She looked upset and as thought she might cry, "Buffy?"
"I wanna hit something," she said in a voice trembling with anger.
"Demon bar it is then," he replied.

"Let me ask you again mate," Spike said, slamming the demon's face into the bar, "Are you sure you didn't see anything?"
"Yes," the demon replied.
"Wrong answer," Buffy said, punching the demon in the face, "Wanna try again?" She brought her fist back but he caved before she moved it forward.
"Okay! Okay! Maybe I saw something," the sniveling demon replied, "Or heard something."
"What?" Spike asked.
"This guy was in here about a week ago, asking around about the slayer and her plays, where they set up camp."
"What was his name?" Spike asked.
"I don't know honest. He was human thought if that helps."
"What did he look like?" Buffy asked, slightly defeated.
"Older, British....brown hair I think."
Buffy left and Spike punched the demon before following Buffy. The demon fell to the floor, holding his broken and bleeding nose, "Ow!"
"I'm sorry did that hurt? Good," Spike replied.
"That was useless," Buffy told him when they met outside.
"Not completely we know he's human."
"I guess. There is one other place we could check."
"Lead the way."

Spike followed Buffy down the alleyway, "Love, where are we going?"
"An informant," Buffy replied as she knocked on the wall, hewn she heard a hollow sound she moved back and kicked the concealed door in. Spike followed her into the darkness.
"Watch it slayer, a blue demon said, "That's the third door you've broken this month. I have half a mind to start charging you."
Buffy smiled at the comment, "I need some information."
"About?"
"Who blew up my school."
"Heard about that, nasty bit of luck you had there."
"Well?" Spike said, growing impatient.
"Who's the blonde?" the demon asked, nodding his head towards Spike.
"This is Spike," Buffy said.
"The 80s was a big decade for you wasn't it," the demon quipped.
"Do you know who did it?" Buffy asked.
"Yeah, if the price is right?"
"How much?"
"200."
"Seriously?"
"Hey, I'm really putting my ass on the line this time. IF anyone finds out I snitched I'm a dead man."
"You’re a demon."
"You're point is?"
"I'll give you fifty and I won't punch your face in."
"Can't argue with that. He’s a new player in town, human, warlock I think. Goes by the name Ethan Rayne....You know him?"
"Where is he?"
"Don’t know," he shrugged, "Motel I'd guess. That’s all I know."
Buffy left with Spike.
"Hey, what about my money," the demon yelled after them but got no response, "Bitch."

“Hey, did you find anything?” Willow asked, hopefully from her computer as Spike and Buffy entered the motel room.
“Yeah, Will can you find out what motel someone is staying at?” Buffy asked.
“Yeah sure,” she replied.
“What’s up B?” Faith asked.
“We found out who did it.”
“Who?” Willow asked.
“Ethan Rayne.”
“Oh my god,” Willow said.
Andrew raised his hand and then spoke, “Who’s Ethan Rayne?”
“An old friend of Giles’s,” Buffy replied.
“Guess there’s more to it then that,” Faith said, “Cuz generally don’t try to blow each other up.”
“They had a falling out,” Willow clarified.
“Anything else?” Faith asked.
“Yeah,” Buffy said, “It’s bad.”
“Say it,” Faith replied.
“Giles is dead.”
“Hey, you’re back,” Dawn said as she came out of the bathroom, wearing pajamas and drying her wet hair with a towel, “Geez who died?..Oh my god who died?”
“Giles,” Buffy said in a barley audible whisper.
Dawn just slumped against the door frame in shock and slid to the floor.
