“I’m going back to England to restart the Watcher’s Council,” Giles announced after the gang had gotten settled. No one was really surprised by his announcement. “However there is a need for experienced operatives to go to certain areas to look for and train new Slayers. I won’t tell you that you must go were I ask you to but I think I have teamed up people into the most effective teams I can.”
Giles pulled out a large dry erase board from behind his recliner. On it were names and locations.
Willow & Kennedy - South America
Faith, Rona & Robin - Cleveland
Giles & Andrew - England
Xander, Lena & Vi - Africa
“Were are our names?” Dawn asked indicating Buffy and herself.
Giles looked over to Buffy to allow her to give her sister the answer. “Dawn, I want to take a little time off. Me and you are going to go to Europe, find a city with a good school and settle down for a little while.” Dawn opened her mouth to protest, but Buffy cut her off. “Giles has informed me that you will be more than welcome at the new Watchers Academy, after you graduate from high school that is, and we can see what you want for your life then.”
Dawn nodded tersely and sat back in her chair. Giles retook the floor saying, “we need to find out which of the new Slayers wish to go back home, and whom wished to volunteer to be on the five teams.” This caused a confused look to appear on some of the faces present. “Buffy may not be actively involved in slaying but she has agreed to training new Slayers once she and Dawn have settled down.” Giles explained, “ Tonight after dinner we will start sorting the new Slayers into the necessary groups.” Everyone got up to leave when Giles asked Xander to stay behind. As Dawn walked out of the room she noticed that Buffy and Faith had stayed behind as well. She wondered what was up but figured she would find out later. In the mean time she went looking for Lena and Vi to give them some advice on how to handle her ‘big brother.’
