ENTERPRISE-
Picard, Giles, and Buffy storm out of the turbolift and into main engineering. Picard walks up to LaForge.
PICARD-
"Geordi...Admiral Snyder is taken us into Cardassen space. We need to contact Riker and Worf without Snyder or Ortiz knowning."
LA FORGE-
"That's simple....I could patch into a secure fequency through here. Why is Snyder doing this?"
PICARD-
"I don't know....Make it so." Picard walks over to a comm console. "Computer, play recorded messages from Starfleet Command. Authorization code: Picard-Alpha-Epislon-Gamma-238." The screen lit up as Admiral Kathryn Janeway appears on the screen.
JANEWAY-
"Jean-Luc....this report of Snyder commanding a task force is unusual. For one thing, Admiral Snyder retired from Starfleet two weeks ago. Second, I had ordered the Titan back to the Romulan Neutral Zone. Third, I got a hold of Snyder's last review from Admiral Wilkins. He says he feels that Snyder still blames Starfleet for not getting a command during the war. Be careful, Captain. No telling what he may do. Janeway out."
Picard looks at Giles and Buffy.
BUFFY-
"So...that's why, he wants to be a war hero."
PICARD-
"Yes....even if he has to start one himself. Geordi?"
LA FORGE-
"Uplinks ready, Captain."
TITAN-
Riker looks at the display...disbelieving what he is reading. He types back...'Understood, sir, can Geordi get your shields down so we can transport Giles team over.' He waited for the answer.
ENTERPRISE-
Picard: 'Yes, Captain....contact Worf, we'll take some of the transport time off if we beam them in groups....one group with you, and the other group to the Defiant.'
Giles called the team into main engineering.
LA FORGE-
"Okay, the Titan and Defiant are going to lower their shields, and then I'll lower the Enterprise's shields. Now, there will be down for only a few minutes until Ortiz overrides the controls."
GILES-
"Understood. Buffy, Dawn, and myself will go to the Titan. Willow, Tara, Xander and Faith will go to the Defiant."
XANDER-
"No, Giles....I'm staying behind. Captain Picard and Commander LaForge could use the help."
PICARD-
"Accepted. Now, Geordi."
On the bridge, Ortiz is looking at his display when the other ships lower their shields. Suddenly, their shields drop.
ORTIZ-
"Admiral, all three ships shields have gone down."
SNYDER-
"What? Raise them..."
ORTIZ-
"Oh, sorry sir, they're back up."
SNYDER-
"Counselor...do something useful and go talk to LaForge." Fred gets up and storms towards the turbolift and goes down to engineering.
