Buffy had prepared a nice dinner for everyone, and Dawn was anxious to eat some real food. A couple of years of eating combat rations will do that. After a nice dinner, Dawn asks Xander to go into the library.
XANDER-
"So, Dawn. What's up?"
DAWN-
"Xander, are you happy here?"
XANDER-
"You know the answer to that....not since Anya."
DAWN-
"In a couple of days, I'm going back. I want you come back with me to take command of a second brigade of rebel soldiers."
XANDER-
"Dawnie, you know I'm help you. But to take command, what's that mean?"
DAWN-
"I have been authorized to offer you the position and rank of General." Xander face turns to shock.
XANDER-
"Me? A General? Come on, Dawn."
DAWN-
"Believe it or not...you have shown command experience. During the fight with the Mayor, helping train the potenials, and the fight agaist the First. Beside...I could use the company of an old friend."
XANDER-
"Does anyone know yet."
DAWN-
"Just Buffy...you know she'll support you no matter what."
XANDER-
"I need some time."
DAWN-
"I understand."
