"Will the others know where we are?" Spike asked.
"Sure. I think."
"You *think*?" He asked, incrediously. "Well, that's bloody perfect, in'it? What if they don't?"
"Calm down, short stuff." Gunn's voice floated up to them. "We're right here."
"Don't call me that!"
Angel rolled his eyes. -Two seconds and they're already at it.- He thought. Sighing, he joined Connor and Spike on the rock side. The two boys were sitting on the edge, looking down at the town. Connor had a restricting hand on Little Spike's stomach, stopping the now-small-human child from falling over the edge. He stood behind them.
Illyria looked over at them, head cocked to one side. "We are waisting time. We should be getting back by now."
"Can you still Dimension-Drop?" Gunn asked, folding his arms.
"I have not tried. There is a possibility. But i will need to know what dimension we are in first. If not, the outcome is unpredictable."
Spike stood and moved away from the edge. "Any place'll be better than here." He snarled.
"Spike-"
"No. You ain't spent two bloody weeks as a soddin' 'slave' to these gits! I have. You don't know what they do when their property goes missin'. Think along the lines of Angelus when someone damages his get."
Angel winced. "Right. A place to hide, or...or..."
"Dimension-Hop?" Gunn supplied helpfully.
He nodded. "What he said."
Connor had remained suprisingly quiet while they all talked. -Probably a normal conversation for them.- He thought, and chuckled quietly.
When he heard Angelus' name mentioned, his head snapped up. "That's a bad thing, right? If they're like Angelus?" He managed not to sneer the name, and had the grace to shoot Angel an appologetic look.
"Worse. Half of 'em were never human to begin with." Little Spike shuddered.
"Yeah, how did you get out of that place so fast?"
Gunn looked up, a little smile in place. "Lied."
Angel shrugged. "Told them we'd be back to discuss them giving us Spike back."
Spike rolled his eyes. "Am right here."
"We wouldn't be if you didn't get yourself caught by the demon in the first place!" He shot back.
He just scowled, and sat back down. He crossed his arms, and didn't look at Angel again. -Wasn't my fault.- He thought bitterly. -We got shoved God only knows where, and i'm the size of a toddler! And human, at that!-
"I'm thinkin' hidin' will have to do for now." Gunn said. "Looks like they discovered their little boy's missin'."
They all looked down to where there were ten demons running up the hill, all after one thing; Spike. Other demon families here didn't care much for others' property, but they never tried to steal them themselves. All those demons lived in the same house where they'd got the now-small boy from, and only some of them slaves.
Angel cursed, and picked Spike up as they all began to run. This was NOT good.
***************************************************************************************
The demons fuond there hiding spot all to quickly. Luckily, Connor had found a small hidey-hole, in which Spike was small enough to hide in. If the demons found him, it didn't matter, because they wouldn't be able to fit into the hole.
Angel killed two demons before they had even noticed. Three jumped him and beat him to the ground.
"You take my slave." The demon said simply. "For that, i take your head."
"God, and people say that *i* have bad people skills." He muttered, dodging the axe. "How could you be sure that it was me who took the boy?"
"You ran." It answered simply.
"I have a son to take care of."
Gunn crept silently up behind one demon and struck him, drawing all three demons' attention, distracting them from Angel, who jumped to his feet and decapitated the closest demon.
Illyria got rid of the majority of the demons, and stood in the middle of the cave, bored.
"Those were inssuficient. I wish to do yet more violence."
"Never a dull moment." She heard Spike mutter.
"You grow more like a child with each passing day." She said, before moving on.
Spike didn't reply, thinking of the truth in her words. Now that he thought about it, he was becomming more of the child he looked like. He needed to get back to normal, and fast.
Angel and Gunn faced the last two demons, noticing the others dead thanks to both Illyria and Connor, who now had a sullen Spike in his arms.
Gunn ducked under the sword, the blade barely missing him. Cursing, he stumbled back, and held firmer onto his own weapon of choice-the axe of the first demon that had tried to decapitate him. Swining, he could the demon's arm, dismembering it from its body.
"Don't think that's gonna cut it, mate." He heard Spike drawl.
"Ha ha. Very funny *ex* Bleach Boy."
Spike scowled at the name, but refrained from commenting.
"Small favours." Gunn grunted under his breath.
Again, he ducked under the sword as it flew at him upper body. He bent to far backwards, and fell down. The axe came swingin' down on him.
Angel grunted as he was empaled on a large metal stick. Cursing the demon, and the object in question, he yanked it from his body with a pained growl, and raised his sword, wavering only a little, and decapitated the annoying thing. He fell to his knees, exhausted and pained, and looked up in time to see the sword swinging down on his friend, the last demon standing above him.
"Gunn!" Connor shouted.
With unnerving quickness, Gunn rolled away from the demon, rolling until he jumped to his feet, crouched in a fighting stance.
"No worries, i got it." He soothed.
Everyone calmed as he retrieved his axe, and swung violently at the demon, cutting off the arm which held its own swrod. Before the thing could react, Gunn swung again, decapitating the demon. Everyone watched as the head rolled onto the dirty cave floor.
Everyone was silent, an exhausted weight surrounding them.
"Way to go, Charlie Boy." Spike said, when the moment passed. "Almost think you didn't make it there."
"Have a little faith in me, man. I've been fightin' vamps since i was a kid. Yo, no demon gets the better of me."
Angel smiled, and rose to his feet, forever grateful of vampiric healing.
"C'mon, let's find a way home."
They all look to Illyria. "I told you-"
"Do it anyway. Blue." Spike ordered.
She glared at him, as both Angel and Gunn walked over.
She took hold of Connor's free arm, the other still holding Spike. The little boy touched Gunn shoulder, as Angel held him up.
The air shifted as wind picked up, and Illyria took them from the dimension.
