Faith takes a drag off a cigarette that Kennedy gave her. She looked around at the others, who were given her looks. Not like she cared. She looks over at Angel.
FAITH-
"So, what brings you to this neighborhood?"
ANGEL-
"We learned that the President is planning an Ascension."
FAITH-
"What? Like The Mayor?"
ANGEL-
"Yeah. We also learned of an artifact that was placed here in 1997 by NASA. It's called the Dryekka Sphere. One of the primary sponsors of the mission was Richard Wilkins III."
FAITH-
"What does it do?"
KENNEDY-
"The Sphere can stop any ascension from taken place. It's the reason that the President wants to destroy Titan." The last statement peeked Charly's interest.
FAITH-
"You mean like The Death Star?"
CHARLY-
"No....a beam is firing from a spacecraft that will turn the atmosphere of any world into pure oxygen. Then they follow that up with a heat beam."
PHELPS-
"With an atmosphere of pure oxygen...."
CHARLY-
"The entire surface will be incinerated. The vampire population killed."
ANGEL-
"That was the weapon's orginal design. Now, the President hopes that the sphere will go with it. He didn't count on his son being stranded on this rock."
KENNEDY-
"So, what do we do next?"
FAITH-
"Simple. We get this sphere thing, and then we get the hell of the moon." Charly nods her head, understanding.
CHARLY-
"Chappelle, after we lift off, contact Clement....tell him that you got the survivors. Then they use the weapon, in the meantime, we have the sphere."
ANGEL-
"Wait...why does Chappelle have to contact them?"
CHARLY-
"My former XO tried to have me and Faith executed."
KENNEDY-
"That will bloody well do it."
The team sits down and begins to work out the details of their plan.
