EN ROUTE TO TITAN - 2516
Faith is sitting on the bench on the ship watching the soldiers get ready. Besides Charly, then was Captain Grimes, her second in command. Something about made her uneasy. The rest of the team, seperated into two five person squads, were nice enough. A couple were good looking, too. In the first squad was Chappelle, Carey, Williams, Carlin, and Murray. The second squad was Washington, Hargrove, Tanner, Phelps, and Cooper. Like Faith, all of them were dressed in black BDUs, but they had on body armor. They reminded Faith of that movie with the giant bugs. Chappelle walks up to her. He was a thin, black guy.
CHAPPELLE-
"Hey, Clement gave us orders that you're not suppose to have a weapon, but just it case....the blue clips have bullets with holy water, and the red clips are incinary bullets. Catches everything on fire that they hit.....my favorite."
FAITH-
"Cool.....so, what my job?"
GRIMES-
"Your job is to sit there and be quiet until we reach Titan. Chappelle....fall in." Faith gets up.
FAITH-
"Your a big tough guy with that rifle." Grimes hands his rifle to Chappelle, and takes off his body armor.
GRIMES-
"You don't know when to quit." He grabs Faith and she flips him over her shoulder, and puts her foot on his throat. Charly runs up.
CHARLY-
"BREAK IT UP!!!" Faith lets Grimes up.
GRIMES-
"This ain't over bitch."
FAITH-
"The moment....the very second....that this mission is over. You and me." Grimes nods and goes up front. Williams, a 6 foot 7 muscler man, comes up to Faith.
WILLIAMS-
"I think I like you. Grimes is a serious asshole."
CHARLY-
"Can it, Williams. Faith, you okay."
FAITH-
"Oh, yeah....that actually felt good. It's been a while."
CHARLY-
"I think you might get some more on Titan." Charly hands her a short sword. "Here..."
FAITH-
"What about Clement's orders?"
CHARLY-
"Fuck him."
FAITH-
"No thank you."
CHARLY-
"We're still three hours from Titan orbit. Why don't you get back in the sleeping area and get some rest." Murray comes up to Charly.
MURRAY-
"Major, weapons check complete. Captain Grimes is requesting....a strip search of Lehane to make sure she isn't carry any weapons."
CHARLY-
"Tell Grimes the answer is no. If he wants someone strip searched than he can search himself. Maybe he can find some manners."
MURRAY (grinning)-
"Yes, ma'am."
FAITH-
"Look, if that guy gives you so many problems...then get rid of him, and get a new XO."
CHARLY-
"Politics....Grimes is connected to some powerful people back on Earth. He gets want ever assignment he wants. Rumor is...well, after this mission, I might be behind a desk. He has applied for promotion to Major."
FAITH-
"He's planning to take your job. I do know that people like that get what's coming to them."
CHARLY-
"Maybe....go get some rest. I'll wake you up when we get there."
