1989: LOS ANGELES: NIGHT: People were going their ways taking the subway that night. Drusilla and Spike sat at the end of the subway car. Their very own little spot.

Spike wore his hair spiked up, no eyeliner. He wore the jacket he pulled from a slayer over a white Tank top, [I now think about it, that might be called a wife beater, not tank top for a man, but, eh’.] He wore black pants and had them in his boots like he did in the 90s. His nails were panted black and he wore gloves made of leather with the fingers cut out.

Drusilla wore her hair down, she also wore black fingernail polish. She wore a black dress like the ones she wore in the 90s. Shoes, she wore a pair of heeled leather boots that tied up her leg. Her coat was purple and black jean that had the longs sleeves and went down to her waist.

To know what shoes she had, most on the people on the subway that dared to look over saw them quite well. Spike was making out with her on the subway car. His right arm around her shoulders, his left hand stroking her left leg as he kissed her. Her dress lifted up.

She stroked his hand. One of the humans with her child, cleared their throat. “Excuse me,” the woman said. Spike and Drusilla ignored her, the woman tried again, “Excuse me, you two, there’s children on here.” Only one child.

Drusilla and Spike slowly pulled away to look at the woman, “Oh,” said Spike, “Sorry about that.” He smiled at the woman.

“Well, you should know better,” said the woman.

Drusilla stood up, went towards the woman, she smiled at the boy and his mother, “Sweet little boy.”

The woman felt she should be somewhat suspicious, then she smiled back at Drusilla. Drusilla knelt down in front of the little boy, “I’ve always liked little boys.”

Spike had stood up and grabbed the thing to stop the subway, “Well,” said Spike, “You’ll get your little boy soon enough.”

The woman hugged close to her son. Drusilla growled at the little boy. The boy hugged tight to his mother.

“Are you crazy?” asked the woman.

Drusilla started laughing deeply, and stood up to fool height. She looked to Spike, suddenly she grabbed the woman and picked her up off the seat, looked her in the eyes, growled at her. Dru’s face went it’s vampire ways and she sunk her teeth into the woman’s throat.

The other 11 in there started getting quite scared suspicious, a woman screamed. The little boy was screaming too. Spike went towards some of them, jumped at them for fun, then made his face go vampy and he lunged at one quickly, and sunk his teeth into his throat.

After a moment the others went to the door trying to get out. Spike threw down the body. One man went to punch him, Spike swiped the man across the face. Punched him in the stomach. The man hit his head, unconscious.

Drusilla coddled the boy, caressing his cheek, wiping the tears off him. Her face still in feeding transformation. She pulled him towards her quickly and sunk her teeth into his throat, the boy screamed. Spike was having his way with a woman’s throat in no time while that happened.

LOS ANGELES: A NICE APARTMENT: Night. Drusilla came into the living room, “Oh, Spike,” she said. “What has come of you?”

“My love,” said Spike, he smiled widely, he looked towards what she spoke of , “Yours.” Sitting at a small table as if set up for a tea party was 2 boys and a girl, unconscious. Dressed in Sunday best.

“Oh, oh, oh,” laughed Drusilla, “But Spike,” she stepped towards them, “It’s not my birthday.”

“No, sign of my love,” smiled Spike, “All for you.”

Drusilla started twirling around, “Oh, like the little puppets, playing a game. All the little puppets and daddy.”

----------------------------------------------

LOS ANGELES: TOY STORE. People laid dead through out the store. Drusilla was throwing the dolls down on the ground. Spike walked in, “Got dinner without me, I see.”

Drusilla had a bit of blood on her lip from the people, she went towards Spike, “I saved some for you, Willie, my Spike.”

Spike kissed her deeply then pulled away, “Delicious. Who’s the cook?”

“They didn’t watch a bit,” laughed Drusilla picking up a doll off the ground that was blind folded.

“No,” agreed Spike looking at it’s little ribbon of a blind fold, “They mustn’t watch.”

----------------------------------------------

LOS ANGELES: LARGE CHURCH: Drusilla dropped a nun on the floor of the church. Then with her fingers, her face reverting she wiped her lips with her right index finger and licked the blood off them.

----------------------------------------------

LOS ANGELES: PARK: Drusilla sat on the a swing, Spike sat down on the one next to her. Drusilla had a little girl in her arms, dead little girl. Stroking her hair. Spike smiled at her.

----------------------------------------------

FROM WHERE WE LEFT OFF. “Hello Willie,” said Drusilla going over to Spike.

“Dru?” asked Spike, “What are you doing here?”

“On, vacation,” she giggled.

“Really, replaying out the murders from 1989?” asked Spike.

“Oh, sweet Spike,” she shook her finger at him, “You’re got slayer all over you still. I knew it.”

“Yeah,” said Spike shaking his head, “You know I kill your kind now have for some time.”

“When did you get back your Christmas lights?” asked Drusilla.

“Christmas lights?” questioned Spike, he was confused.

She stepped towards him, she rolled her tongue to create a purring sound, and she put her hand on his chest. He was somewhat reluctant to let her do so. She put her hand on his chest over his heart, “You got your flicker back. Pretty soul.”

“Yeah,” said Spike, “Now, you want to die willingly or not?”

“You wouldn’t kill me Spike, you’re still mines,” she hissed, “Sweet Spike. So long.” She smiled at him.

“No, I’m not yous,” replied Spike.

“The Descendants,” laughed Drusilla, “Got little brother.”

“Little brother?” asked Spike.

“Put back his Christmas lights, those PTB, shame, shame,” she giggled.

“PTB?” he asked, “ Powers That Be.” Drusilla started giggling wildly at him. Spike looked at her innocently, then spoke: “Haven’t found those pesky marbles yet I see.”

----------------------------------------------

EMMA WALKED CONNER INTO THEIR ROOM. Conner was limping, still beaten up. She lead him over to the bed, they were both wet from the rain, “I’ll tell Angel what happened in the morning,” she spoke.

She sat Conner down, “I don’t think it’ll matter much.”

Emma made a scoffing sound, “This means a lot Conner, you’ve got your soul back.”

“Something out there killing isn’t there?” asked Conner.

“From what I hear,” sighed Emma, “Lay down,” she told him. He didn’t want to lay back, he sat up, “Lay down.”

“Been on my back too much,” said Conner holding himself up off the bed.

“Alright,” said Emma, she grabbed his collar of his shirt and ripped it so he didn’t have to take it off over his head, “You’ll probably need to wear bandages for a little while, till your healing returns to normal.” he let her pulled the shirt off his arms etc till he didn’t have it on him anymore.

“Or,” said Conner.

“Or what?” asked Emma.

Conner leaned in towards her going for her lips. Emma pulled off, “Good god Conner, you’re wounded.”

“Won’t be long,” sighed Conner his eyes fluttering as he looked at her, he leaned in again, closing his eyes.

He put his lips to hers and kissed them lightly, he put his right hand on her cheek, his knuckles had dried blood on them and were bruised. Conner then kissed her deeper.

Emma kissed him back generously as he slipped his hand up the back of her shirt and gripped the back of her bra were it connected. He laid back slowly holding on to her. Emma slid her right hand up his chest to his cheek and he pulled her shirt off then rolled her over onto her back. He went back to her, kissing her throat. Then he bit into her throat as she went for his pants. She gasped from the bite.

Conner’s skin started to heal little as he drank from her. He pulled away his eyes going back to normal. He kissed her deep again, her throat healed. He pulled away looking down at her like it was a dream. She looked up at him the same way, finished undoing her pants, eye contact with him.

He went closer to her face as she pulled him down against her. Conner kept looking at her. Healing, bruises and scrapes left and he move rhythmically up down on her keeping perfect eye contact with her. Emma her hand in his hair, she leaned up against him and locked lips with him again.

[That was awkward to write.]

----------------------------------------------

“IS CONNER BACK?” asked Angel seeing Wesley as soon as he walked into the lobby. Angel was drenched in rain, “Anyone back?”

“Yes, but Spike left quite suddenly,” said Wesley as he put a photo on the bulletin board.

“How’s Conner?” asked Angel.

“Soulful,” sighed Wesley looking at the board, thinking.

“How?” asked Angel.

Wesley turned towards him, “Well, um… From what Emma told me quickly, The Powers that be gave Conner his soul back. After some trials to see if he was worthy.”

“Worthy?” questioned Angel.

“Yes,” said Wesley, “Emma explained that, they said Conner was never to be part of the supernatural since Jasmine cause that’s what he was created for, he was just susceptible to Emma.”

“So you’re saying-” started Angel.

“Emma changed the future,” said Wesley, he turned back to the board and looked at it. They didn’t exchange words for an entire moment. “Doesn’t that give you a little hope?” asked Wes.

“Why?” questioned Angel.

“Hope enough that you’ll be used for the better, that we’re not being moved like pieces in a game,” answered Wesley.

“There’s hope in that,” said Angel.

“We’re not useless,” said Wesley.

Angel looked at Wesley, he felt he should tell Wes, ‘A human shouldn’t waste their time thinking they’re useless.’ He didn’t say anything.

“Where were you?” asked Wesley.

“No where,” replied Angel immediately.

“I don’t quite believe that,” said Wesley.

Angel looked at the information all over the board, random things, then spoke: “I was watching Mary.”

“Oh,” sighed Wesley.

----------------------------------------------

“DRU,” began Spike, still standing with her talking still, “You should leave this town, there’s nothing here for you.” Drusilla didn’t say anything. Spike continued, “I or someone I work with will kill you. And when you’re killing calm down a bit.”

“I have taken leave once, and you’ve fallen into the hands of the slayer, pretty petals between her thumbs,” stated Drusilla, “I should have my Spike back.”

“I’ve moved on, saved the world, came back,” stated Spike.

“Done good things, but,” she put her index fingers on her temples, “I hear, I see bad things, city of lights.” She then looked at him straight, “You deny?”

“No,” said Spike.

“You won’t let that slayer flutter away from your skin, dead skin,” said Drusilla.

“I told you to leave,” said Spike again.

“Nasty threats, supposed to hurt me,” said Drusilla, “Ow, poke, poke. Play with your head.”

“They don’t,” said Spike, “Not anymore anyway.”

“They want her, little girl, Descendants,” said Drusilla, she poked his chest, “They want pretty colors and flowers, and balloon elephants.” she started to laugh.

“Little girl?” asked Spike.

“They don’t know her,” said Drusilla, “I see her.” Dru started to walk past Spike, “I see them standing in a circle.”

“Who’s the little girl?” demanded Spike.

She looked down, “They stand with purpose, smashing the toys. Painting symbols, I saw them do it. I can’t tell.”

“You have to,” said Spike grabbing Dru’s arm.

“Tall tales, true,” she sneered looking at him, then she purred at him suddenly, “Tall tales.”

“You’re coming with me,” said Spike.

Spike pulled Drusilla away from the scene, Drusilla then barked like a dog and said, “Now we’ll get to see the, Prince eat all his money.”

----------------------------------------------
DAY ARRIVED. Emma lay next to Conner under the covers naked. Emma’s head on his chest, eyes closed. His closed. Sleeping. Conner’s eyes slowly opened. He looked down at Emma laying on his chest. He looked around the room, didn’t want to wake her if he didn’t have to.

Conner reached down next to the bed and found his pants. He picked them up trying not to move Emma. As he was putting his getting his pants under the covers as she laid against him she started to wake up slowly.

She sat up slowly yawning, held the blanket over her chest and looked at Conner who had stopped dead in his tracks, “Could of woken me up.”

“Well,” Conner shrugged his shoulders then went back to what he was doing.

Conner zipped up his pants. Emma kissed Conner’s shoulder then went under the covers looking for clothing. He watched her move around in there, “Need Help.”

“I’m good,” she replied.

Emma came back up latching her bra on. She got up off the bed and went to the drawer, wearing a bra and underwear, black underwear that looked like it belong to a young teenage girl, fit her fine though. Conner watched her get dressed.

She put on a pair of green jeans and a black T-shirt. Emma turned towards him, “What shirt do you want?”

“Surprise me,” said Conner smiling at her.

“Maybe I’ll give you one of mines,” smiled Emma.

“I wouldn’t fit,” said Conner.

“I bet you would,” laughed Emma.

“So, you’re scrawny too,” said Conner.

“Not that scrawny,” laughed Emma.

“I’ve seen you naked,” smiled Conner.

Emma threw a blew long sleeve shirt at his head. “We should go see what’s going on with the others,” answered Emma.

----------------------------------------------

THE LOBBY. Drusilla was tied to a chair. Wesley, Angel and Spike were watching her. Drusilla then looked at Spike and asked, “When do the carnival games begin?”

“So she was killing?” asked Angel.

“For the hundredth time, yes,” stated Spike.

“Watching watcher,” giggled Drusilla looking at Wesley.

“Wesley to you, you fiend,” said Wesley.

“Tries and tries, but the other squirrels won’t come and play with him,” said Drusilla.

“Who’s the crazy woman?” asked Conner going down the stairs into the Lobby, followed by Emma.

“That there is Drusilla,” explained Emma, “Your dad sired her, she sired mines.”

“Oh,” Conner looked at Angel, “Family Reunion.”

“No,” said Angel, “She knows something.”

“You find that out now?” asked Emma, “Wacky woman there sees vision on a regular basis right?”

“She’s got a slayer all over her too,” sneered Drusilla, she looked at Conner, “I saw you.”

“Visions?” asked Conner.

“No, on the Tellie,” said Drew, “Going to blow up the little people.” Conner’s face changed as he looked at her. “The Tellie makes everyone really small. I bet you lived in a shoe box once.”

“What do you know about the descendants?” asked Angel.

“We’ve been asking her that question for the past two hrs.” replied Spike, “Maybe if we keep asking that she’ll tell us she wants to buy vowel,” he was being sarcastic of course.

Emma was looking down, “Please spin the wheel,” she smiled.

“This is not time for wheel of fortune talk,” said Angel, “Now, Dru, start answering the questions.”

“You only asked one,” stated Drusilla, “Asking it quite well I say.”

“The Descendants?” ordered Angel in a harsh voice.

“If I saw no, will dad hit me?” asked Drusilla looking off into space, “Oh, no, he wouldn’t hit, head smack, whip, pretty red marks,” she smiled, “Bruises.”

“Who, dad hit who?” asked Wesley.

Drusilla started to laugh Hartley, “Can I please buy a vowel?”

They looked at each other. “Maybe if we hit her she’ll stop talking crazy,” suggested Emma.

“I don’t think that kind of think would help,” answered Wesley.

“I suggest we do it,” said Emma.

“Playing cards with the whistles, they’ve been playing again. They want the pretty girl, little girl, on T.V. I see her standing in a little circle, blood on the floor, all over the floor.”

“Girl on T.V.?” asked Wesley.

“What girl has been on T.V.?” questioned Angel.

----------------------------------------------

A WOMAN SAT IN HER LIVING ROOM REWINDING A VIDEO. A young little girl was on T.V., it was some kind of recital of some sort, ballet. The girl had black hair, she was taking a bow in her little pink too too. The woman turned off the video stood up and went into kitchen.

This woman was in her late 40s with graying hair, which was black naturally. “Why are you home at this time of day?” asked the woman.

Someone was putting stuff in her frig. It was a girl, that girl, but now she was a teenager. The mother hadn’t gotten a reply to from the young lady, “Diane, what are you doing here, you should be at school.”

“Nothing,” said the girl dazed, she went to the island of the kitchen and sat at it.

“You put up your breakfast, I made, what, 2hrs. Ago,” stated the woman, “What’s wrong, you sleep all the time, you’re not hungry, and I told you, you should go to school, you understand.”

The young lady wore black, her skin was white, she had once had brown eyes, now those eyes were a yellowish green. Not inhuman though, “I over school.”

“Over school?” demanded the mother.

“Yes,” over it, she looked dazed at the fruit in the bowl on the island counter top, “Above it.”

“Diane, are you on drugs?” demanded her mother, “I told you that if you-”

Diane looked at her suddenly, “I’m not on drugs woman.”

“Woman?” demanded the suspicious caring mom, “What, I’m your mother, you can call me mom, you can call me ma’am but you aren’t going to call me woman.”

“I’m pure,” said Diane, she looked back to the fruit, looked dazedly at the peel of the ripe orange on top of the island of other fruits, wax fruit. “I’m ready.”

“To go to school,” said her mother, “Go get your work, book bag and lets go.”

“No,” stated Diane, “They know I’m ready.” She looked at her mother with utter confusion on her face.

“They, who’s they, are you in some kind of trouble?” asked her mother.

“I can be safe, I don’t have to do it,” stated Diane.

“Do what Honey?” asked the mother, she waited for her daughters reply, “I’m taking you to school.”

“It won’t stop it,” sighed Diane.

“Well you’re going and you’ll have a good day, come home and go to band practice then to that youth group-”

“Schooling, yes, take me, I must go get my things, they won’t have me there, no, they won’t want me there,” said Diane going out of the room.

That little Ballerina had something wrong going on.

----------------------------------------------

“SIMON THOMAS,” said Wesley putting the picture of the young man from the chamber [Control Me.] on the bulletin board, “17, A student up till last year when he started missing grades, extracurricular, etc.”

There was the class picture of before, Simon had long black hair, brown eyes and his skin was gaunt white. The after photo, bright blue eyed, white skin, thinner, young man in a morgue.

“Why’s his eyes opened?” asked Emma looking at the second photo, “They do close their eyes when they die in this dimension don’t they?”

“It says in the autopsy report that he died from blood loss, along with that, he had mild brain damage, and his eyes would close,” answered Wesley.

“What does he have to do with the girl that Drusilla is ranting about?” asked Angel.

“I’m not sure, for all we know Drusilla could just be telling us things, or believing something that wasn’t true, etc. But if there’s really some girl out there I inquire that she’d have some kind of connection with Simon,” replied Wesley.

“There’s kids all over L.A.,” replied Spike, “Could be anyone of them.”

“What makes you think that their really is someone else?” asked Emma.

“The descendants want a girl,” replied Wesley, “If what Drusilla says is true then I don’t think it’s that far out of the box to guess it’d be someone like this young man.”

“What would they do with her?” asked Spike.

“Probably try to put another spell on Angel,” said Wesley.

“We can’t let that happen,” replied Angel.

----------------------------------------------

DRUSILLA WAS TIED TO THE CHAIR STILL. The chair was now in Angel’s office. Everyone was taking turns watching her since Spike told them that they should. She could get out of the rope, turns out back in the day she could get out of a straight jacket. Of course that statement left the group with unanswered questions that they didn’t really think would be good to get answered.

Conner was on watch. After awhile though Drusilla at times could be quite entertaining to listen to, conversations were on going game of charades. Or as Drusilla thinks ‘Marco Polo.’

Drusilla watched Conner, he watched her as he sat in Angel’s chair leaning back in it. Drusilla spoke: “You and I are not much different. Much a like we.”

He just looked at her like she was crazy, with Drusilla that’s in fact like reading her like a book. Drusilla went on, “You’ve loved and lost. Young one. So have I.”

“What does that matter to me?” questioned Conner, keeping calm, just replying.

“I must collect my thimbles and move on,” sighed Drusilla, “She knows you.”

“Who?” asked Conner.

“Grand daughter,” said Drusilla swaying her head back and forth. “You’re Emma.”

“Yes,” said Conner.

“I know you too,” purred Dru, “Now, come untie your big sister.”

“I wouldn’t,” replied Conner.

“She’ll hate you for it,” growled Drusilla.

“Hate me for what?” asked Conner, not faltering to her a bit.

“She’ll hate you for making it run wild,” more crazy talk. “All consuming, twinkle, twinkles and the burning fire, with the toy soldiers and little play. Taking her over, she’ll hate you.”

“I can’t do anything, what’ll take over her?” Conner wondered to her.

“Isn’t it so simple to figure young one,” she questioned, “Little Brother?”

“If it’s so simple say it plainly,” stated Conner.

“Frog walking,” came the words bluntly from her.

Conner looked at her like she was crazy, he had nothing to worry about. They looked at each other for a moment.

“Cordelia,” laughed Drusilla. Conner just looked at her, “You’ve moved on from your first love?”

“I didn’t love her, those were lies,” said Conner.

Drusilla shook her head in agreement, “I see that, I see that well.”

“What about the girl, on the T.V.?” asked Conner thinking he could do more than watch her.

“Untie me and from these ropes, I’ll play your bucket game little brother,” said Dru.

“Hmmm….I don’t think so,” said Conner.

“Then you won’t know the secret,” said Dru, “Nasty secret it is too. Dangerous secret.”

“I untie you?” asked Conner, “So the girl won’t be kept in danger.”

“And I won’t kill uncle books,” said Dru, “Uncle Books, who keeps on watching.”

“Then you won’t kill Wes,” stated Conner, he understood that, Uncle books talk. “You’ll tell me everything, I have your word?”

“Yes, mines, and all the other little rabbit’s in the forest.”

“Okay,” said Conner, he went behind her and started to untie her, Dru stood up. Conner’s eyes went yellow just incase she tried something, he was faster than the average vamp of course.

“Pretty little girl,” Drusilla purred, “Diane, Mother worries, Diane why won’t you go to school,” she spoke then in a sing a long format, “Diane chosen, Diane Williams dances in the blood and lays in the circle.” She got up to Conner and made a gesture to him as if she would bite him.

Conner was unfazed by that. Dru smiled him then shot off. Conner was too fast for her, he grabbed her around the arms outside the office door. He picked her up off the floor.

Angel, Spike, Emma and Wesley looked to him. “Not going anywhere,” growled Conner in her ear as she tried to struggled. Her face went vampire, that was her choice.

She then swung her hands back and clawed at his eyes. Then she slammed her feet into his crotch and Conner went down on his knees. Quickly Dru shot off for the Lobby door which inevitably lead out into the light. Emma shot off after her.

It was sunny out, no rain. Emma shot out after Dru but once Emma got out to the side walk, Dru of course was nowhere in sight. And the cars would be fazed by a person running out into the middle of the road on fire. But nothing, Emma went back for the Lobby.

Inside, Conner was trying to recuperate from a mean blow to his valuables. His eyes being scratched up didn’t help either. “BLOODY HELL,” said Spike bluntly, loudly, “You just untied that loon and let her out, you stupid runt.”

Emma walked in, “I don’t know where she is.”

“She couldn’t have gotten far,” said Wesley.

“Yeah, day, did she burn?” asked Angel.

“Not from what I could see, the cars weren’t messed with, it was like a regular day to them,” replied Emma.

“You’re sodding boy friend here just lost us our only lead,” growled Spike.

Emma went to Conner’s side, Conner’s eyes and eyelids healed and he was capable of standing again breathing correctly and everything, “Got a name,” growled Conner, “Diane Williams.”

“Good,” said Wesley, “I’ll look her up,” he went towards the computer behind the counter.

Conner looked at Spike distastefully. “Are you alright?” asked Emma.

“Yeah,” sighed Conner looking to her a little hunched over a bit, “Never been kicked there.”

Spike looked at him angrily, he then looked to Angel, “Son’s a bit of a fool.”

“Dad,” scolded Emma, daughter scolding her father, “He got a name, now we can narrow this girl down.”

“If she wasn’t trying to trick him,” said Spike. “Dru may be crazy but she has enough trinkets left in her skull to figure a plan to get what she wants.”

“She wasn’t lying,” said Conner stood up straighter, “Smell lies.”

“I’ve got something,” replied Wesley, “I think we’ve got a lead alright.”

“Alright, what about parents?” asked Angel.

“She lives with her mother, father was arrested for domestic abuse a couple of years ago,” replied Wesley.

“Explains the hitting part the Dru brought up,” replied Spike.

“Honor role, till last year, we’ve got a picture, before and after,” said Wes.

“Get me her mom’s address, Conner come with me and we’ll go talk with her,” said Angel, “Spike you and Emma, do something useful, help Wes, he’s been up all night.”

----------------------------------------------

THERE WAS A KNOCK AT DIANE WILLIAM’S MOM’S DOOR. The mom went to the door, Conner stood there. “Hello?” asked her mom.

“Um…I’m Conner, I’m from Angel investigations,” said Conner, “Can we come in?”

“Um…sure,” answered her mom.

Conner looked behind him and shook his head. Conner stepped in and held her door open, Angel quickly ran in from his car in the front yard under a blanket. Angel was smoking, he threw off the blanket. The mom just looked at him weird.

Angel just looked at her, “I can explain.”

“Don’t worry, you’re a vampire,” said the woman.

“You know what I am?” asked Angel.

“Angel, I’ve seen you before, my ex used to work at Wolfram & Hart,” replied the woman.

“Oh,” said Angel, he looked at Conner, “Remember that.” He looked at her, “Oh, this is my son Conner.”

“Is Carl in trouble cause, whatever he wants to do I don’t care, as long as he doesn’t come near me or my daughter,” answered the woman.

“It’s not about Carl,” said Angel, “It’s about Diane.”

“What about my daughter?” asked the woman.

“You may want to sit down for a little bit,” said Conner.
----------------------------------------------

“I’M JULIA,” said the woman sitting down on the couch, Angel sat in a chair next to the woman and Conner sat in a chair next to the T.V. not far from Angel at all. “What’s with my daughter?”

“We have a good reason to believe she’s in trouble,” said Angel.

“I thought Wolfram & Hart was done for,” said Julia.

“Well, we happen to feel the same way but, uh, there’s something else coming after her,” replied Angel, “We have on good word.”

“What?” asked Julia.

“A group called the descendants,” said Conner.

“The Descendants?” questioned Julia, “Never heard of them.”

“You sure?” asked Conner.

“They’re a cult,” replied Angel, “As far as we know and they want to use your daughter as a sacrifice.”

“I’m sorry, I can’t really help you, I don’t know anything she does anymore,” sighed Julia, “I wish I did, I wish I could prevent this, but-” she stopped herself, didn’t talk for a moment, “Wait, my Diane goes to a Youth thing.”

“Youth thing?” asked Conner.

“Where?” wondered Angel.

“I don’t know, about a year ago she just started going, then she kind of changed, I thought it was for the good at first, but then bad things started happening,” began Julia.

“Like what?” asked Angel.

“Well, we used to have pets, but a month after she started going to the Youth meetings all the pets started to die, we haven’t been able to have a pet longer then an hr. since,” answered Julia. “Then her grades started to slip and I don’t think she eats anymore, at least not to my knowledge. Are you going to help, get her back to normal?”

“Of course,” said Angel.

“I’m glad I got her to go to school today though, but is she safe there?” asked Julia.

“We’ll make sure of it,” said Angel, “Conner, go back to the hotel get Emma.”

Conner stood at, “Then what?”

Angel looked at Julia, “Please give us the address.”

“Sure,” said Julia.

Angel looked to Conner, “You’ll go to that school with Emma and bring Diane back to the hotel, no matter what happens.”

Conner shook his head yes.

“Is my daughter going to be alright?” questioned Julia.

“I’ve said, we’ll do what we can, and of course, we’ll protect her, cause that’s what we do,” said Angel.

“Alright, have Diane call me or something, when you get her, I must know she’s safe,” said Julia writing down the address.

She handed it to Conner. Conner went towards the door.

----------------------------------------------

EMMA SAT IN ANGEL’S OFFICE. She had her feet on Angel’s desk turning it with her legs, [I can’t remember if Angel own a spinning chair, but he does now.] Spike walked in, holding a book, “Why are you researching.”

“I’m not a big research person,” said Emma.

“Neither am I but I’m doing it,” answered Spike.

“Not like we’re going to find something, this band of miscreants trying to throw us off are modern,” replied Emma.

“Or very bloody old,” corrected Spike.

“Still, the books we have aren’t old enough, I don’t think I should have to research,” said Emma.

Spike looked at her for a moment then tossed her a book, she caught it, he smiled at her, “I’m your father and if I say you’re going to help us save our asses, you’re going to.”

Emma looked at the book. Spike turned to leave the room then turned back, he spoke: “And make sure whatever you’re doing, screw up the big man’s chair.”

Spike left into the Lobby. Emma got out of the chair and followed him. “Before,” started Emma, stopping him in the lobby. She tossed the book on the counter, then looked back to Spike, the only other person in the room, “With Conner.”

“What about it?” asked Spike.

“You were awfully harsh,” said Emma.

“He untied our lead, I think I grounds on it,” said Spike.

“But he found a name, so now we are investigating it,” assured Emma, “If he hadn’t untied her we might have had a crazy vamp tied in a chair for hr. never able to find out shit about that girl.”

“Don’t curse,” said Spike.

Emma made a Spike face at him, then said, “Don’t try to change the topic, you were mean. He got kicked in his valuables, show sympathy.”

“What if she wouldn’t of given a name,” suggested Spike.

“Then she would have been useless to us,” replied Emma.

“Go research,” said Spike plainly.

“You’re just saying that so that I won’t prove you wrong,” said Emma.

Then Spike said, “Fine, Poor boy, I hope him and his family jewels are quite well and that he lives a long prospering life, maybe get some cats.”

“What?” asked Emma, “You Poofter, just trying to make fun of it.”

“Poofter, that’s my word,” said Spike, “Back off the language.”

“I’ll say Poofter if I want to,” replied Emma.

“Are you two fighting?” asked Wesley standing up from behind the counter.

They looked at Wesley. “No,” said Spike, “She’s using my word.”

“I think that’s the least of our problems,” replied Conner coming into the lobby.

“Oh,” said Spike innocently, he turned towards Conner, then said making fun of him, “How are you and your buddies doing?”

“Ignore that,” stated Emma.

“Emma, we’ve got to go get that girl, at her school, I have an address,” said Conner.

“Okay, lets go,” replied Emma.

Emma and Conner went towards the lobby entrance to leave, Emma turned back to Conner, “And while I’m gone, how about you research for me,” joked Emma.

Conner and Emma left, Spike turned to Wesley, “I can’t implant rules on that girl, any.”

----------------------------------------------

EMMA AND CONNER WALKED THE HALLS OF THE SCHOOL. They looked around in the room windows, “Do you think there’ll be any trouble getting this girl out?”

“I don’t figure,” answered Conner.

“Here,” said Emma seeing the girl I one of the classes, Conner and her went to the door. Emma went to open it but instead of knocking she just broke the handle and came in. Protocol, she gotten used to braking door knobs etc.

They walked in, everyone looked at them. “Excuse me?” asked the male teacher, “May I ask why you broke that door, if that’s what you did?”

Emma threw his door knob at him, he caught it holding a dry erase marker in his other hand. “We need Diane Williams, now.”

“I don’t think you can do that,” said The teacher.

“Sorry,” Emma looked to Diane, Conner went towards Diane, who stood up, Emma kept speaking towards the teacher looking at Diane, “We’re going to keep her safe.”

Diane stood up to Conner willingly, able to go.

“Sorry,” said the teacher, “You can’t just take her.”

Emma just stated, “Try and stop us.”

The teacher suddenly pulled out a gun, “I said no.” He fired a bullet at Conner. Pushed the kid behind him out of the seat as he dodged the bullet.

Emma out of nowhere grabbed the man’s hand and aimed it at the ceiling as the teacher kept shooting it. She then bent his wrist making him drop the gun. “No,” growled the man. Emma swiped him in the face and he flew down on the desk.

The windows began to blow in. Glass going everywhere. The students ducked down. Before the glass fell on them. Emma’s eyes went yellow and the glass went back to normal. “MOVE FROM THE WINDOWS!” demanded Emma.

Everyone did. Then the windows blew up again and leapt in cloak figures. Conner grabbed Diane, who was dazed. He grabbed her by the arm and pulled her away towards the door. The door opened and in came more cloaked figures.

In a determined way Emma went towards one, blocked two blows from him grabbed him by the hair and kneed him in the face and tossed him down. She ducked the kick from one. A leg came at her on her left, she knocked that mere mortal’s leg down.

One grabbed Diane, Conner swung around and punched the grabber. Grabber went down on his back. The students were going under their desks to keep safe. Two of them went to punch Conner at once, Conner grabbed their fist and slammed them against the ceiling.

One went at him from behind Conner spun around and kicked him in the head. Emma grabbed the teacher off the desk and dragged him towards Conner.

Conner grabbed him and picked him up. “Lets go,” said Emma.

One went to punch her, she grabbed him by the arm and threw him against the dry erase board. One had picked up the gun from the teacher and started trying to out load the bullets on them. Emma started grabbing the bullets out of mid air and she held them, the cloaked person threw down the gun.

Emma spun around quickly throwing the bullets. The bullets all shot into somewhere in each cloaked being. Emma and Conner took off with Diane.

----------------------------------------------

“Got you guys another lead,” said Emma. Conner and Emma came in.

Diane wasn’t trying to get away or anything, Conner had the Teacher over his shoulder. Angel walked in with Spike. Wesley turned from the bulletin board.

“Diane Williams,” said Angel. Diane looked up at him, “You’ve been part of a cult for the past year and they’re going to-”

“Try and kill me, I know,” said Diane, “Look what they’ve done to me, I think I know.”

“Are you hungry?” asked Wes.

She just looked at him, Emma saw her looking at him, “We don’t eat people around here.”

“I don’t eat,” she sighed looking down.

“Well take a seat on the couch,” suggested Angel, “We’ll be keeping you safe.”

Spike had brought a chair into the lobby and the ropes, “Don’t loose this one.”

“I won’t,” said Conner sitting the unconscious teacher down in the chair and taking the ropes.

“Why did you bring him?” asked Wesley.

“Well we got into the class, this man here starts firing gun, and then cloaked figures come into the room through the windows,” replied Emma putting her hands in her pockets.

“Why not bring a cloak person?” asked Angel.

“This one is human, completely,” said Conner.

“He was always at the meetings,” stated Diane, just stating out of nowhere, “At them all, part of the blood.”

“So they’ll be coming for us,” said Spike, “Now that we’ve got Diane.”

“We see through the eyes,” said the teacher. “Demon eyes we see, we get what we want, we want you gone,” he looked up at Angel.

“We,” said Conner, “They said We.”

“Wasn’t that a fun game,” laughed the Teacher, “Taking your soul. Pretty little soul.”

“Turns out it wasn’t as dear to me as you thought,” said Conner.

“Oh it was dear,” laughed the Teacher, “Always about the soul,” he looked towards Conner, the man’s eyes were bright blue now, “Holtz taught you that, Angel doesn’t have a real soul he taught.”

“Shut up, you don’t say Holtz name,” growled Conner.

The teacher laughed harder, “We’ll get Diane back.”

“You track her or something?” asked Emma.

“Through demon eyes,” laughed the teacher.

“Only demon eyes?” asked Wesley.

“What your plan,” he looked around the room, “Somebody has a plan, you’re being sneaky.”

“I think he’s just a minion,” said Emma, “Can’t do us harm, just talk.”

“But they can, control the urges, make you come to us, take your human out, put in darkness,” said the teacher.

“You see through demon eyes?” questioned Wesley.

“Yes, quite well,” smiled the teacher, “I was worthy to let them see through mines.”

“What about Diane?” asked Wesley.

“No, never see through the chosen, oath, incapable,” replied the man.

Emma cocked her head to the side examining the situation.

“So they’re looking through my eyes?” asked Spike.

Wes looked at Emma, then Conner, he nodded towards them. Conner went towards the teacher and knocked him out with his right hand.

“What’s that about,” demanded Angel.

Conner went towards Angel, Angel backed away from him.

“Diane we’re leaving,” said Emma, “Dad-”

“Bloody hell you’re going to be knocking me out young lady,” said Spike.

Conner suddenly hit Angel in the head with his left hand, Angel hit the wall behind him and fell down it unconscious. Spike backed away from Emma. Wasn’t going to go out cold willingly.

“Sorry,” said Emma, Emma spun around and kicked Spike in the head. Spike fell down unconscious.

Diane walked towards them, “Only through demon eyes, lets go,” replied Emma.

“I know a place we can go,” replied Wesley.

Emma, Conner, Diane and Wesley left, following Wesley.

----------------------------------------------

WESLEY KNEW WHERE TO GO. His place. Wesley walked them in then closed the door behind Conner and Emma and locked it.

“You’ll keep me safe still?” asked Diane dazedly.

“Of course,” said Wesley, “We’ll fight that cult.”

“So, me and Conner, too human for them to see through our eyes, why here, won’t they know?” asked Emma.

“The possibility of them coming here looking for her is rather low, and here, we have a guarantee no demons will come in, cause, well they don’t live in this building,” said Wesley.

“Can’t they do a tracking spell?” asked Conner.

“If they try,” replied Wesley, “Then they come, they find her, whatever, we can’t think about the infinite questions, this is mean business.”

“Of course,” said Emma, “So we should be safe.”

“So, sit down and relax,” said Wesley.

“Relax?” questioned Conner, “Aren’t we still, in trouble?”

“I’m going to do some research on the internet, and look up the spells I know this group has used,” said Wesley.

“I don’t want to be part of the sacrifice,” sighed Diane, “There’s going to be a sacrifice.”

“For what?” asked Emma.

“They want control, full,” sighed Diane.

“Angel,” said Wesley, “They’re going to try and use him against us again.”

“Don’t they know that won’t work?” asked Conner.

Wesley went to his lap top on his table, “I’m sure that they might want you to kill Angel if such is needed.”

----------------------------------------------

“BLOODY HELL,” said Spike rubbing his head, he was waking up, Angel also, “She didn’t have to kick me.”

“Well she did,” said Angel helping Spike, his voice was of course not at all helpful though.

“She could of done one of those hand moves she knows, like that Vulcan death grip kind of thing,” stated Spike.

“Well she didn’t,” said Angel bluntly looking to the teacher, “Now lets get back work.”

“What about that Diane character?” asked Spike, “Don’t we have to go save her, cause-”

“No Spike, Emma, Conner, and Wesley are not under the control of the Descendants,” said Angel.

“What do you explain Emma kicking me?” demanded Spike, the he spoke sarcastically, he imitated Emma’s voice, “Oh, that was just a sudden idea I had, wanted to see what would happen-”

“Spike, has it dawned on you that Emma may have been doing a good thing?!” replied Angel.

“Good thing?” asked Spike rubbing his forehead.

“Getting rid of the demon eyes, the teacher said that Emma and Conner were too human, so The Descendants can’t see through them-”

“Oh, now I understand,” replied Spike it did dawn on him, “Making sure that we didn’t see where Diane was, if they can’t see where Diane is then they can’t come and get her.”

“Yes, Wesley, Emma, Conner took Diane and hid her,” said Angel, “Knocked us out so that we couldn’t see where they were taking her.”

“I understand now,” said Spike, “So what do we do?”

“Figure out through that teacher what they wanted with her,” said Angel.

----------------------------------------------

NIGHT CAME. Emma and Conner mainly watched T.V. or looked out the window, or listened for threats. Or as Conner did for about an hr. take a nap. Diane and Emma talked about the cooking channel during that time. Wesley was hard at work, feeling a little, no a lot of stress but he was used to it so he didn’t ask for help from Emma and Conner.

Wesley stood up going towards his book shelf to put up a book, there was a knock at the door, everyone stopped what they were doing. Emma looked around then whispered to Wes as she stood up, “Say you’re not home.”

Conner stood up. There was another knock, energetic once. Wesley put down the book on the coffee table then went towards the door, “Who is it?”

“Rebecca,” said that sweet neighbor’s voice.

Wesley looked at Conner and Emma, “The star asking question; is she a demon?”

Emma sniffed the air, “No, she’s good.”

“What if she’s in part of the cult,” suggested Conner.

Emma looked at Diane, “Know a Rebecca?”

Diane shook her head no. Rebecca spoke again, “Why are you keeping me out here?”

“Coming,” replied Wesley, he opened the door and let Rebecca come in.

Rebecca had a plate of cookies in hand. “Made some cookies,” laughed Rebecca. “Oh, who are these people?”

“Co-workers,” stated Wesley, “We’re on a job.”

“Oh, should I leave?” asked Rebecca.

“You seem safe,” said Conner.

Emma shrugged her shoulders.

“Of course you can stay, just if someone knocks on the door get really quiet,” replied Wesley closing the door behind her and locking it.

“Thanks,” said Rebecca.

“Other than that,” said Wesley, “Me casa, e sure casa.” [however that is.]

“Oh thanks,” smiled Rebecca handing over the plate of cookies to Wesley.

“Thank you,” replied Wesley.

Wesley put the cookies on the table Rebecca just stood like this was an awkward situation, “What are you watching?”

“Cooking channel,” said Emma.

“Good cookies,” said Wesley eating a oatmeal cookie.

“Well,” said Rebecca, “I thought oatmeal would be good to make, since, hey it’s good for chicken pox’s when you bath in it, it must be good for,” she thought about what she was going to say, “Or, maybe it’s just that yummy deliciousness you’ve been needing.”

Emma was reading close caption on the T.V. watching an Asian man cook, she had sat back down. Conner was sitting in a chair, watching too, his head on his hand.

“So do you learn anything from watching this?” asked Rebecca.

“Emma won’t care,” said Conner, “She’ll just expect me to take her out or cook.”

“Hey,” said Emma, “No matter right you are-”

“Why is it on closed caption?” asked Rebecca.

“Emma likes watching it in closed caption,” said Wesley searching on his computer.

Rebecca shrugged her shoulders, “Is she allowed to turn the sound on?”

“That’s fine,” said Wesley.

Rebecca sat down next to Emma, “Have you ever watched any music channels?”

Emma looked at Rebecca, “No,” she said plainly, “You pick a channel, something more entertaining, then this,” she handed the remote to Rebecca, “As long as it not something weird, music wise, old, or frilly and pink.”

“Oh no, ever heard of Static X, or Disturbed,” replied Rebecca.

“Yeah,” said Emma, “Hey Wes, your girl friend here does have a sense of music, I was almost scared.”

“Emma she’s not my girlfriend,” replied Wesley.

There was a knock at the door. They all got quiet, “Come in,” said Rebecca, “Oh,” she said quickly putting her hand over her mouth, “Sorry. Get quiet,” she told.

Wesley looked to the door, everyone quiet. Suddenly the door was kicked in. Drusilla walked on in, she walked in. Conner, Emma, got up, Rebecca screamed. Diane stood up. “I didn’t invite you in,” growled Wesley.

“Come to get the pretty princess,” said Drusilla, “Time to go to the top.”

“You’re not taking her,” growled Conner, he and Emma’s eyes went yellow.

Rebecca screamed again. Diane backed up Wesley stood in front of her.

Suddenly the windows blew in and cloaked figures started running through where ever they could. Rebecca didn’t scream again.

Drusilla jumped at Rebecca growled at her quickly like a dog. Rebecca grabbed out of her pocket a thing of mace and started spraying it in Dru’s eyes. Drusilla backed up her face stinging.

Cloaked figure grabbed at Diane. Emma leapt over to the figure, kicked him in the head, Emma pushed Diane down and under the table. One brought a sword out and went to cut Emma’s head off, the blade broke on contact. The thing went to jab her, Emma ducked down went forward on her hands and kicked him in the chest making him fly out the window he came from.

She landed on her feet. Drusilla’s face went vampire and she lunged at Conner. Conner dodged her and she fell on the floor, rolled back onto her feet. Conner was grabbed from behind by two cloaked people. Conner leaned down then throwing himself up into the air he flipped behind the two, punched one in the head with his left.

The other one spun around to meet him Conner punched him in the stomach then tossed him into the T.V. Sparks flew.

“HEY!!” yelled Wesley kicking one down.

He went to his closet and grabbed out of the top his good ole 12 gage. He hit one across the face with it then loaded it, started shooting the beings.

Conner kicked one across the face punched him in the chest. One ran at him from behind Conner ducked down and the being pulled out his sword missing Conner. Conner hit the man in the arm, the sword dropped. Conner punched the guy in the face and quickly grabbed the sword.

Loud blasts came from Wes’ gun. Emma grabbed two of them by the heads and slammed them together. She punched one in the throat then elbowed one coming behind her and she jumped up and kicked one to the ground.

One’s head was sliced off by Conner. Conner spun around and stabbed one threw the chest. Pulled his hand back with the sword he quickly elbowed one. He jumped up and kicked one down, then chopped it’s head off.

Emma grabbed two by the arms and tossed them out the window back flipped onto her hands and kicked them down then rolled forward onto her feet.

Rebecca had picked up a chair. They didn’t want to mess with her. The ones that were still alive ran out. Emma looked under the table her eyes reversing, “They got Diane.”

“Crap,” said Conner.

Wesley put his gun back. Rebecca gripped her chair firmly, “What about that vampire?” she asked, “Does she want to come at me again, huh, HUH!!?”

“Calm down Rebecca, Drusilla has left,” said Wesley.

“How?” asked Emma.

“I’m wondering how she got into my place,” said Wesley.

“You told Rebecca that your house was her house, then she accidentally told that nut to come in,” said Emma.

“Sorry,” said Rebecca in a small voice still holding the chair.

“We need to get back to the hotel,” said Conner.

----------------------------------------------

“WE’VE GOTTEN HER BACK,” laughed the Teacher, still tied in the chair.

“Diane?” asked Spike going towards him.

“We saw her, saw her well,” he laughed.

Angel walked away from the dry erase board, “How?”

“Drusilla,” smiled the man, “We used her eyes my rivals, she smelled the girl, found her and so did we.”

“You sods,” growled Spike, “Drusilla is all part of this, she tracked down that Diane and saw her.”

“Things will be most gratifying for us, Angel,” smiled the man.

“No, you can’t do the spell, whatever you’re going to do,” said Angel.

“What makes you think we won’t?” asked the man.

“Cause you’re evil and good prevails over evil,” said Angel.

“Then stop us,” laughed the man, his laugh bellowed.

“We will,” said Wesley, “We know where they’re holding Diane.”

“That isn’t true,” hissed the teacher.

Emma, Wesley, and Conner were back obviously. “5hrs. You can be told a lot,” said Wesley, “Drusilla is part of the sacrifice Diane told us.”

“We are all powerful, we are prevailing, we are that darkness that clouds the light,” growled the man, “Being The Descendants, we won’t be conquered by such stupid-”

“Shut up,” said Spike, “Or die, just be quiet.”

Conner swiped his fist across the man’s face and the man in the chair fell backwards dead on the floor, “Are we going to stop them or not?” asked Conner.

“Arm yourselves, Wesley will drive,” said Angel.

----------------------------------------------

DRUSILLA STOOD ALONE. She was in a church sanctuary, “Played the tiny game, got their attention.”

The hooded figures stood in a circle in the middle of the room, “You’ve been very cooperative Dru, we’re happy to have you with us.”

“Happy like the moon?” asked Dru.

“Exactly,” said the man, “That moon smiles down on us all.”

Drusilla put her hands on her forehead, “My little family comes, with Mr. Books. They bring sharp objects to protect themselves, like Santa Claus.”

Another cloaked man came into the room, he walked up to one and spoke in his ear, “She’s ready to go to the shrine.”

“Pretty red dresses,” said Drusilla dancing slowly, “Bricks and fire, bricks fire.” She gasped, “Blood, there’s going to be death, and carnage.”

Dru started laughing hysterically bringing her arms out in front of her then closing them around herself in a sort of hug.

“Am I interrupting something?” questioned Angel, standing at the entrance.

“Angel, we’ve been wondering when you’d get here,” said the one that had been whispered to previously, he stepped forward, looked to be a leader figure.

“Just come here to pray,” said Angel.

“Oh, so I see,” sighed the demon, “Kill him,” he ordered.

Sword were drawn, Angel pulled a sword from his own coat. “There’s going to be a fight,” said Drusilla in a singing tone, “The old lady lost her glasses, that wont stop the cookies.”

“Whatever you want to say,” said Angel.

The cloaked followers moved in on Angel. Suddenly from the balcony of the church Emma and Conner leapt down. Emma and Conner landed on a cloaked figure across the room.

Emma flipped up on one hand kicked two down, went down on her feet, ejected two blades from her sleeves. Sliced one’s head off on her left, ran up one flipped off him and stabbed him with her right. She spun around in the air and sliced two in half. She landed.

Conner had a sword in hand, he stabbed one on his right in the stomach, clashed swords with another, ducked almost being sliced by the one behind him. The cloaked figures killed each other.

Spike and Wesley walked in through the front doors, Wes with his 12 gage started blowing the competition away. Spike went to help Angel. Angel clashing swords with them left and right.

He stabbed one in the stomach spun around and sliced another in half. Angel was backed up into a wall, he stepped to the wall, stepped off it and kicked one in the head landed then spun around and clashed swords with another. Angel leapt over him and stabbed him from behind then ducked the blade of another.

Spike stabbed one on his left, clashed with another on the right, kicked that one in the ribs then chopped it’s head off. Wesley was getting pretty far with the 12 gage.

Drusilla grabbed Spike by the shoulder and spun him around, she knocked the blade from his hand, “Why?” she asked, “You fight with the Angel’s?”

Spike punched her in the face. She fell back a little. Spike went to kick her, she ducked out of the way his leg going over her. She punched him in the right eye. Then she jumped up and kicked him in the head. He hit a pew. Broke it.

“Dust to dust,” she giggled picking up a piece of wood, “Sorry, daddy, sorry my son, my luv.”

Spike rolled up as she held the piece of wood towards him threateningly. She went to jab it to his heart, he caught her hand then punched her in the face. Dru punched him in the stomach, then in the face and quickly spun around and clawed his face.

He fell back feet away from her. Spike flipped up onto his feet, “The years were good to us Dru, but that’s to stop.”

Dru purred at him, she swiped at him and he ducked out of the way. She went at it again. Spike caught her wrist of the hand without the stake and he grabbed her other wrist in seconds. Drusilla jabbed her heels of her shoes to his stomach.

He was thrown back on the ground. She went to get him, he caught her wrist and snapped her arm. She hissed at him pulling back, she jumped up and went to kick him down. He ducked and grabbed her leg, threw her down. She rolled to her feet.

“Like a kitty cat,” she hissed to him, she went at him, went to punch him, he blocked it and kicked her in the face then punched her again with his left.

Drusilla fell against the altar of the church. She stood up. Spike picked up the piece of wood.

“It was nice having you around while it lasted,” said Spike, “Turns out,” he slammed the stake to her chest, “You’re just not my type.”

Dust to dust, Drusilla’s ashes went to the floor. The fight around Spike suddenly stopped. All the cloaked figures still alive backed off. “You’ve killed the ingredient,” said the leader.

“Give us Diane,” demanded Angel.

Suddenly all of the cloaked figures shimmered out of the room. Emma swung at one but her blade just went through, nothing. She retracted the blades into her sleeves.

“Did we win?” asked Spike.

“Killed an ingredient,” said Angel, “Doesn’t mean they can’t get another ingredient.”

“You saying there’s more than one Dru?” asked Spike.

“No, Dru’s one in a, one in anything,” said Angel.

“Maybe we have won,” said Wesley.

“They still have Diane,” said Emma, “How’s that winning.”

“Maybe, Diane is dead,” sighed Conner, “Maybe we were too late?”

“Conner’s right,” sighed Wesley, “Lets just go home, get some rest.”

“I can’t rest yet,” said Angel, “This will be hard to tell her mother.”

They all looked at each other in the quiet. Emma walked to Conner slowly. Spike kicked over a body. Angel went towards the door and Wesley unloaded his gun. Quietly.

*Just because I kill someone off doesn’t mean I didn’t ever like them, not at all. I loved Drusilla, one of my favorites, but she’ll just have to return either because a magic spell or flashbacks, whatever comes to my mind.*
