Willow is working on her laptop in The Magic Box.
BUFFY-
"So, who was he?"
WILLOW-
"According to his business card, his name is Michael Knight of the Foundation For Law and Government. When he mentioned government, I walked away. I figured government meant The Initiative or something like it."
BUFFY-
"What have you find out?"
WILLOW-
"Well, the Foundation is actually a privately owned organization....sort of a high tech private investigation firm. It's founder was William Knight, who was also the founded of Knight Indrustries."
XANDER-
"Hey, I know that one. We still use some of their equipement on construction sites."
WILLOW-
"Knight was into a lot of things: construction, electronics, and some military contracts."
DAWN-
"What about Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome."
WILLOW-
"Let's see: Michael Knight is the Foundation top investigator. He's worked there for the last 20 years, but the weird thing is before 1982....nothing."
BUFFY-
"No work history?"
WILLOW-
"No, I mean nothing nothing....no birthdate, birthplace, social security numbers, or family."
XANDER-
"He's a ghost."
WILLOW-
"Xander, he handed me his card, and he got into his car....I don't think he's a ghost."
XANDER-
"No, I mean he's a guy with no past. He probably went under another name before 1982....maybe even plastic surgery."
GILES-
"What about his car?"
WILLOW-
"Hold on....black T-top.....plate number: KNIGHT. All it says here is that the car is a privately owned vechile of Knight Indrustries."
Later that night, Michael and KITT are driving around when KITT picks up Willow on his scanners.
KITT-
"Michael, I have just picked up Willow on my scanners. She is entering that shop."
MICHAEL-
"I see her buddy." Michael parks KITT in the front of The Magic Box. The police were no help...so Michael decided just to cruise around. It was well past sundown when KITT spotted Willow. Michael leaves KITT and walks into The Magic Box.
GILES-
"Sorry, we're closed."
MICHAEL-
"Yeah...I'm looking for Willow Rosenberg." Willow walks up to Giles.
WILLOW-
"Mr. Knight, I told you to stay out of this."
BUFFY-
"Is this him?"
MICHAEL-
"Hi, Michael Knight of the...."
BUFFY-
"Yes, Mr. Knight, Willow told us about this afternoon."
MICHAEL-
"Call me Michael, and you are?"
Outside Spike is watching the exchange between Michael and Buffy, and getting the wrong impression. He looks at the black car that the stranger pulled up in. Spike grabs a lead pipe and goes to the car. We raises his arm to smash the windshield.
KITT-
"I wouldn't do that if I was you." Spike lowers the pipe and looks around.
SPIKE-
"Who said that?"
KITT-
"Maybe this is your subconscience telling you not to do that." Spike throws down the pipe, and touches his head.
SPIKE-
"This bloody chip is starting to talk to me." He walks away, but KITT is wondering something. Why couldn't he pick up any vital signs on his would be assilant.
