The black Trans Am speeds along the road from Los Angeles. Michael Knight slaps his hands against his legs in keep the beat of the song on the radio. Man, he missed the '80s. He looks into the rear view mirror and notices some grey is beginning to show in his hair. Of course, in any other car he would have to worry about traffic and the road conditions. Of course, this was no ordinary car: the Knight Industries Two Thousand, or KITT.
KITT-
"So did Devlin tell you why we're going to Sunnydale."
MICHAEL-
"Yeah....he wants us to check out a series of mysterious deaths."
KITT-
"Sunnydale is the perfect place. Did you know that Sunnydale ranks number one in murders and disappearences in the country."
MICHAEL-
"Really? Can't be anywhere near New York or LA's numbers."
KITT-
"No, Michael, you do not understand....Sunnydale ranks above them."
MICHAEL-
"Why haven't we been here before?"
Buffy, Dawn, Willow, and Tara are looking through the books at The Magic Box to find some information about the demon attacks. Their victims were drained of blood, but they were also dismembered. Lots of demons do those things, but not together. Anya rings up a costumes purchase as Xander walks in the shop.
XANDER-
"Hi, sweety, I'm back from work." He leans in and kisses her.
ANYA-
"Hmmm....sweaty, I like it."
XANDER-
"So, guys, any ideas about this latest barrel of fun."
WILLOW-
"No...nothing yet. Still checking."
DAWN-
"Maybe it's just another vampire. This one is just more scarier than others."
BUFFY-
"Could be....I'll ask around."
DAWN-
"Spike?"
BUFFY-
"Only with he includes 'around'."
On the other side of town, the body of a teenage girl falls to the ground dead. A strange looking axe then comes down and the sound of bones breaking and tissue tearing can be heared.
