“Grandpa!” Peter shouted when he looked down at the man who was laying on the floor next to his bed.
“Good Morning, Peter. Now why don’t you be quiet so we don’t wake up anybody.” Giles said as he gave the boy a hug.
“Ah, Grandpa, how can you expect a boy to stay quiet when he’s excited to see his Grandpa.” Jimmy said from the doorway of his brother’s room
“Hello, William.” Giles said smiling.
“Hey, that’s dad’s name, remember? I’ve been going by Jimmy. I thought Mom told you that.” Jimmy said as he came in to hug Giles.
“Right, I don’t know how I could have forgotten. Well, Hello, Jimmy.” Giles said smiling.
“Hello, Grandpa.” Jimmy said as he let go.
“Can I go wake up Dad, and Mom and Uncle Liam and Aunt Cordelia and everybody, Jimmy?” Peter asked with hopeful eyes
“Sure why not, just let me wake up Connor. I know exactly what to do with him.” Jimmy said with a mischievous gleam in his eye.
“Ok.” Peter said and then he was off to wake up the house.
“What are you going to do?” Giles asked.
“You’ll probably find out when he comes down.” Jimmy said and then he left the room.
“Oh, Connor, open up those eyes of yours.” Jimmy said in a mocking voice. Connor didn’t open his eyes and Jimmy knew he wouldn’t so he went ahead with his plan. He took some whip cream he had found in the kitchen and put in a bowl he got from the kitchen. He took the bowl and shoved it right in Connor’s face. Connor shot right up.
“What the heck do you think your doing?” Connor asked when he wiped the cream from his eyes and looked at Jimmy who was laughing hysterically.
“I was waking you up now come on. It’s Christmas Eve, you’re not going to spend the whole day in bed are you?” Jimmy asked smiling.
“No. Think it’ll snow this year?” Connor asked hopefully.
“It’s California, man, you know it probably won’t.” Jimmy said. He had only seen a snowfall once and that was when he went to England for Christmas when he was twelve.
“I know. I wish it would though, then we could have a snowball fight like Dad and Uncle Will used to have when they were kids.” Connor said.
“It would be us men against the girls.” Jimmy said
“We would definitely cream them.” Connor said with a smile.
“You’d cream us? Well just to have you know, I’ve got a pretty good aim.” Cordelia said from the doorway.
“Oh, hey mom.” Connor said.
“Hey, now why don’t you guys come down for breakfast and Connor wipe that stuff your face.” Cordelia said and while she said the last part she gave Jimmy a wink, who also got a glare from Connor.
“We’ll be down in a few.” Jimmy said while Connor took the opportunity to go to the bathroom to wipe the stuff off his face, but not before his dad and uncle seeing him.
“Jimmy, got you good this year.” Angel said laughing.
“Yeah, guess he did.” Connor said a little reluctantly.
“Will, I think Jimmy’s gonna have to watch out next year.” Angel said laughing a little
“Guess you’re right.” Spike said laughing, but more at Connor’s face than at what Angel said because he had no idea what he was really talking about.
“Come on. I think I smell breakfast.” Angel said as he started down the stairs.
“I’ll be there in a minute. I’m going to go wipe this stuff of my face.” Connor said and then he was off.
“Remember when you and I used to do that on Christmas Eve morning?” Angel asked as he and Spike walked down the stairs. Spike was about to tell him some lie about he did remember when suddenly…
*“Liam, stop, it’s Christmas Eve and that means letting the little brother sleep.” A boy with brown hair said.
“Oh, Will, you know it’s my turn now come on.” The older boy, known as Liam said as he squirted a water gun at the boy in the bed, known as Will.
“I’m telling mom.” Will said as he got out of bed.
“Mom already knows.” Liam said smiling
“Whatever.” Will said and then left the room with a set of clothes and went to the bathroom to change into the dry clothes and to dry off. *
“Will, you ok?” Angel asked as Spike looked around and when he looked at Angel he saw that he had a concerned look on his face.
“Yeah, was just remembering the Christmas Eve when you woke me up with a water gun.” Spike said smiling; hoping that what he had just seen had been true, but along with hoping that he was also confused. Confused because he didn’t know why he was remembering something that had never happened to him personally.
“Oh, that was a good one. I can’t believe you remember that one.” Angel said laughing.
“How could I not? I was soaked.” Spike said laughing a little glad that he had something to share with Angel.
“You guys remembering good times again?” Buffy asked as they came into the kitchen. Spike was shocked to see her in front of the stove cooking.
“We sure are, luv.” Spike said as he brought his arms around Buffy’s waist.
“Good morning and Merry Christmas Eve. Now let go of me so I can finish these eggs. I don’t think the kids want burnt eggs.” Buffy said smiling.
“Guess they don’t and Happy Christmas Eve.” Spike said smiling as well as he reluctantly let go of her.
