About ten minutes later there was a knock on the door. Buffy, even though she knew there was no reason to be scared, jumped at the sound.
"Feeling a bit jumpy, love?" Spike said teasingly as Buffy went to get the door, but she just glared at him and opened the door.
"What are you doing here?" Buffy said a little more harshly than she had wanted. It was Agent Mulder and Scully.
"May we come in?" Agent Mulder asked.
"Guess so." Buffy said. She knew they weren't vampires but she decided it was better to be safe than sorry so she didn't say 'Come in' or anything like that.
"Thanks." Scully said as she and Mulder walked into the house.
"So what was it that you wanted?" Buffy asked a little more kinder than she had been before.
"We wanted to ask you some questions about the killings?" Mulder said
"I did them." Spike said suddenly and everybody looked at him.
"Spike, shut up." Buffy said glaring at him
"What I could have?" Spike said trying to sound offended.
"Um no you couldn't." Buffy argued.
"Oh right sorry didn't do them." Spike said looking sheepishly at his feet and then sat back down.
"Sir, we do have to ask you some questions." Mulder said as he went over to Spike.
"What?" Spike said cockily.
"Scully, take Buffy here into the other room so I can talk to this man and the rest of you are going to have to go somewhere else." Mulder said and Willow, Xander, and Giles (yes he was there too) went outside.
"First of all what's your name?" Mulder said as he took out his pen and notepad.
"Spike." Spike said
"Is that your real name?" Mulder asked suspiciously
"Not really but you don't want my real name." Spike said, he hated the law (enforcement people) and tried his hardest to annoy them since he couldn't hurt them.
"Please, Spike. I don't want to make this hard on either of us." Mulder said sincerely.
"I do." Spike said although he knew he wouldn't do the violent part since he didn't want the headache.
"Do we have to take this outside?" Mulder asked sounding threatening.
"Fine, William Locke." Spike said not wanting to go outside.
"Mr. Locke, has your friend Buffy been acting strange lately?" Mulder asked
"One call me Spike two no." Spike said defensively
"What's with the nickname?" Mulder asked
"You don't want to know." Spike said
"Why not?" Mulder asked
"Don't know why I'm doing this but I killed a guy with a railroad spike and I really hated the name William the Bloody so I changed it after I killed the guy." Spike said smiling
"Are you joking with me?" Mulder asked sounding puzzeled and Spike started to laugh hysterically.
"You got me. No it's just a nickname." Spike lied still laughing slightly. It had taken about three minutes to get himself under control.
"I'm going to come back to question you. I'm getting nothing out of you." Mulder said as he got up to go get Scully. Buffy walked in after they left to find Spike laughing hysterically once again even though she hadn't witnessed the first hystericall laughter.
"What?" Buffy asked.
