NEW YORK - 2045
Lyle Gorch stands in the elevator of the Empire State Building with a dark robed figure. Lyle adjusts his cowboy hat, a style that went out several decades ago.
LYLE-
"Now listen here. I don't know who you are...I just told to pick you up from tha Spaceport thing. This guy is the real power in the world now....And you're looking at his right hand man.." The elevator door opens to show Vincent Turner sitting behind a large oak desk.
TURNER-
"Come on in. Mr. Gorch, will you get us some drinks?"
Lyle walks over and pours three large glasses of O positive. He then sits them down on the large table in the room. The robed figure pulls back the hood.
TURNER-
"Will you have a seat, Dracula." Lyle finally gets his first look at who he has been escorting around and almost stumbles over his own feet. "I understand that you had an encounter with Buffy Summers....what was it, forty years ago."
DRACULA-
"What time has passed. I am more interested in her daughter, Kennedy Summers. Most much darkness....a half vampire, amazing."
TURNER-
"Well, this will peek your interest...." He pushes a button and a video screen shows Kennedy and Spike on the rooftop in Los Angeles.
DRACULA-
"William The Bloody."
LYLE-
"You know Spike?"
DRACULA-
"Spike?! Terrible name.....yes, he owns me eleven pounds."
TURNER-
"Yes, well....my mentor, Richard Wilkins, told me one time that 'you can get more people with honey than vingear, and if that doesn't work, you kill them.' It seems they make raiding partyings from that tropical paradise of theirs to look for humans."
DRACULA-
"Island?"
LYLE-
"Yeah...some sort of island in the ocean that's protected by this barrier thang."
TURNER-
"Ah....yes. I suggest we look for a time when they came to us." Dracula turns and leaves. "I have a room for you on the 14th floor."
LYLE-
"So that was him....doesn't look so tough."
TURNER-
"Mr. Gorch....'some sort of island in the ocean'....what other type of island is there."
