* I didn't get enough time to read through this story, but I hope it's satisfactory and stuff. Oh, and if something comes out saying the opposite of what the character meant, just, pic what's logical for that character to say . :-P lol.*

BEFORE LAS VEGAS:
ANGEL LAY ON his bed. His head hurt. Like he’d been hit in the head with a hammer. Everything around him was making him hurt. But he just wanted to lay in his bed and relax. Listen to nothing.
‘Nothing’ wasn’t home right now. Nina in a silk gown slid in next to Angel, “Hi Baby,” she said slyly.
Angel just looked at her. Angel laid there looking up at his beautiful dead ex-girlfriend, in his black T-shirt, and black pants. She smiled at him, kissed his cheek. Angel closed his eyes like he was trying to block something out of his mind.
Cordelia also in the same silk gown Nina wore, she slowly slid into the scene. Her gown was purple instead of green like Nina’s. “First,” growled Angel.
“No, no, no,” teased Lora leaning over Angel, then laying herself behind him and putting his head on her chest.
“What are you?” he asked looking up at Lora who was playing with his hair, wearing a pink silk gown, “I didn’t love you.”
“But you felt it inside, with each one of use,” laughed Lora her long curls dangling down as she looked at him.
“I think I had him more,” laughed Cordelia, she smiled at him tauntingly.
“Leave me, you’re not real,” groaned Angel trying to sit up, but Nina pushed him down laying her hand on his chest.
“We’re as real as you,” smiled Nina.
“But we’re not,” laughed Cordelia.
“People can’t touch you,” Angel said, the words flowing from his lips.
“No, they can’t,” said Lora slyly, “Just you,” she kissed his neck slowly.
“What are you?” he demanded sitting up quickly.
“Sit back,” growled Cordelia, “We are them, we are your conscience, we are all. We are the Descendents.”
“Descendents?” asked Angel leaning back, “Of what?”
“We’ve said too much,” said Nina.
“Shhh…” sighed Lora, “Shhh… keep him quiet.”
“Help me,” said Nina, “Help, please. They-”
Cordelia kissed Angel seductively, “Never mind her.”
“Stop,” said Angel, “I’m not going to do this anymore.”
“We’re in here,” said Lora grabbing his hair, held it tight, kept her calm voice, “We won’t leave. Never.”
“Why?” questioned Angel, “Why do you bother me?”
“Because,” giggled Lora, “Silly, you’re special,” she leaned into his ear, “A killer.”
“Liked killing me,” said Nina, “Liked it a lot.”
“No, Angel, killing is wrong,” taunted Cordelia.
“Don’t know nothin’.” giggled Lora.
“You’re hungry,” whispered Nina.
“What’s he hungry for?” asked Cordelia.
“Everybody,” laughed Lora.
“No,” said Angel shaking his head like a child that meant business.
“What about Mary?” asked Nina, “I have a nice friend, she’d like you to suck her throat, she knows you.”
“Mary who?” questioned Angel.
“So confused,” stated Cordelia running her hands on his chest, “So, so, confused.”
“I’m not going to hurt anyone, no more,” said Angel.
Darla walked forward in a blue silk gown, “My Boy, you listened well before, I told you drink, find one, drink her dry, now.”
“No,” growled Angel.
Darla climbed on his bed, “You smell them, all around you. Enjoy them, like you used to.”
“Silly boy,” giggled Lora she kissed his forehead.
“Bother someone else,” said Angel pulling away from her, “I don’t need death.”
“We’re more then just the dead,” said Nina, “We’re the living, we’re forever,” she whispered in his ear.
Angel closed his eyes, “GET OUT!!” he yelled.
His eyes, he suddenly opened them, his lady friends were gone from his side. Angel slowly stood up. He rubbed his forehead stressfully. He let out a slow, needless breath. Then stood up. Looked to his window.
Night out. His time. Still Night out. Day not to come, day, the one thing that blocked him from the innocent. That would just be going against his job though. Couldn’t do that.
Angel had to do his job. Slowly he walked over to the window. Warm out, L.A. for you. He held the draped back from the window. Gripped them as he watched the outdoors. People drive by.
He let the drapes fall from his hands, slowly. Angel made his way to the door looked out it for a long time. Nothing really on his mind. Just, he had to keep ‘them,’ out.
“Stay away,” he sighed to himself.

CONNER TOOK EMMA, TO THE BLUFFS. [Where Conner took down Angel, season 3] Conner showed Emma, “I took Angel down here. Then locked him up in a box for eternity, but… That didn’t work.”
Emma walked to the edge of the cliff like ground, she looked back at him, “Is that the ocean?” Conner shook his head ‘yes’. Emma looked back down to the water below. She took a breath, smelled the water. Conner walked behind her, he put his hand on her back, “I’ve never seen the ocean before.”
He put his arms around her waist and held her against him, “I thought you should see it.”
She willingly leaned against him, “That’s a bloody lot of water,” she said in awe. Conner kissed her head as he leaned his head on her left shoulder. “I want to go down there,” she said.
Conner watched her pull away, he stood there, watching her, she turned back, “Aren’t you going to come?”
“Okay,” said Conner. He followed her. She leapt over the edge, followed by him.
They landed at the bottom, in the sand, at the same time on their feet. They stood up, Emma looked at him, then went towards the water walking backwards smiling at him. Conner didn’t know what she was going to do.
“I’m going to go find my dad,” she called to him.
“In there?” smiled Conner.
“Tonight,” said Emma.
“Why?” asked Conner, he walked towards her, “When did you decide?”
“Just now,” answered Emma, she pulled her jacket off and threw it down in the sand, Conner watched her playful movements. She kicked her boots off and walked backwards into the water.
“Oh,” said Conner, “I don’t want you to leave me.”
“I’ll be right back,” said Emma, “A week.”
“Really?” asked Conner.
“Get over here,” said Emma smiling.
Conner pulled his jacket and shirt off then kicked off his boots. He went to her quickly grabbing her waist. Holding her, “Cold,” smiled Emma. They stood knee deep in the water the waves washing on them. Emma wore a blue tank top and her jeans, Conner in his jeans.
“I don’t want you to leave,” said Conner, “I’ll be lonely.”
“I can leave now,” joked Emma smiling wide, “Make it quick.”
“Where is he?” asked Conner.
“Vegas,” said Emma, “I had epiphany.”
“Epiphany?” asked Conner.
“Something suddenly came to me, a realization of sorts, actually,” she smiled, “I had a dream.”
“I’m not very smart,” stated Conner, he looked down, “I didn’t know what epiphany was.”
“No,” She pulled away, “Just haven’t asked enough questions.”
Conner cocked his head to the side. Emma put her arms out and let herself fall backwards into the water. He went towards the water to try and find her, he put his hands down she wasn’t there anymore. Conner was splashed suddenly from the side.
He looked up, Emma was soaking wet, standing above him, laughing. Conner splashed back. Conner quickly stood up wet all over as she was and put his arm around her waist and kissed her. He quickly pulled away his spit out water, looked back at her, “Your kisses taste like salt, and water.”
Emma smiled, bite her bottom lip playfully, she turn around and started running from him in the water. Conner took off after her. She looked behind her quickly for where he was, he was gone and she ran into him. He grabbed her by the waist and threw her over his shoulder.
Holding her laughing, he spun her around. Emma laughed with him. Conner then started leaning back, he was going to go down. Emma screamed as they fell back into the water. She quickly ran away from him onto shore. Conner followed her.
Made his eyes go yellow, he caught her. Made his eyes go back. Emma pushed away from him and fell backwards onto her back, “You cheat,” she laughed.
Conner knelt down next to her breathing, catching his breath. “I don’t like the sand part. Kind of itchy.” She sat up, Conner leaned into her as she sat up and kissed her, he rolled himself onto the sand, rolling her on top of him. She pulled away slyly, Conner smiled, “You’re kisses don’t taste much like salt and water anymore.”
She kissed him back and laid her head against his chest. He kissed her head.

COFFEE DOESN’T BREW ITSELF. Wesley stood in the office behind the bar making coffee. He liked his coffee now days, but of course he still like, loved, making his British tea. Of course he thinks that his pot and stuff to make the tea has ‘mysteriously’ vanished, he has to live with coffee.
Angel kept to the dark corners. His head throbbing from the sound of the ‘others’ in the room. “Angel?” asked Wesley, “Are you alright?”
“What?” whispered Angel, he acted as though someone else around the bar might be listening to them.
“Are you alright, I can put two and two together,” said Wesley.
“Oh, really, You caught me then,” said his eyes wide now, “But I can explain.”
“Well, you always say that,” stated Wesley.
“I was, uh…uh… hungry,” said Angel, thinking that Wesley was talking about Nina, “There was more to it. I’m, sorry, I couldn’t stop myself.”
“Well, it’s understandable still,” sighed Wesley, “But you need to get back work, and stop letting, big things, but little, things. I’m just trying to say,” he stopped talking.
Angel came out of the corner, “You can help, cause, they won’t go away,” said Angel like someone else was listening. He wanted Wesley to know about the voices, “Don’t kill me, I can fix this, we can.”
“What?” asked Wesley, “Angel, I know, you really liked, maybe, even loved Nina, and she’s gone, and you’ve got these feelings that you can’t control,” said Wesley, “They’ll never go away probably and why would we kill you?”
“That’s what we were talking about?” asked Angel, “Oh, of course, I knew, what do you mean she’s a big, little thing.”
“I think she’s very thin,” said Wesley, trying to save himself, “Very beautiful.”
“What, no, I mean, how she matters to me,” said Angel, “Something happened, I-” he then changed his voice, “Someone killed her.”
“Don’t go searching for them,” said Wesley, “Don’t seek vengeance Angel.”
“I want to know, that this thing can’t do anything else to any other people,” stated Angel.
“Thing?” asked Wesley, “Did you get more information?”
Angel turned from him going to the coffee maker and pouring himself a cup of coffee, “I’m just saying, what else would of killed her?”
“Oh, Angel, youth die everyday,” said Wesley.
“Nina doesn’t seem like the drunk driving type?” stated Angel.
“No, normal things, but, you know there probably was more, she was werewolf and all,” sighed Wesley, “I’m, I’ll miss her, but you’ll miss her most of all,” he sighed looking at the coffee maker, “Do you know where my tea kettle is, tea cups, that stuff?”
“What?” asked Angel taking a sip of his coffee, “Oh, I think Emma said she was going to hide it.”
Wesley let out a breath, “And we all know she’s good at hiding stuff.”
“Made a joke about you not being able to survive with out it,” stated Angel.
“Oh really,” Wesley kind of puffed up his chest, “Well, she must not know Wesley Wyndam Price, cause, I think I might know where she put it.”
Wesley went to the stairs and up them. Angel took a drink of his coffee. Turns out by that face that Angel made Wesley isn’t a chief of the beans, coffee beans. Angel spit his coffee back in his cup and with a distasteful look, he went over to the plant on the desk and poured the coffee in it.
Angel had leaned down for that, then stood back up. As soon as he stood up he saw Conner standing on the other side of the desk. He was startled and dropped his cup. The cup shattered on the floor. Angel had backed up from Conner, “Conner,” looked at Conner for a moment, Angel took a breath looking down to that cup, “Um… think you can fix the cup?”
“Sure,” said Conner, his voice emotionless, Conner bent down and ran his hand towards the biggest chunk of cup, and as he went to pick it up the pieces shot back together. Fixed. “Here,” he handed the cup back to Angel.
“Thanks,” stated Angel, he put the cup down on the desk, “You need something?” looked around Conner, “Emma isn’t with you?”
“She’s gone to Vegas to find Spike,” Conner was wet, not his clothes, they were dry. Different clothes, maroon T-shirt and jeans, he hair was wet, “Changed her clothes and ran.”
“Oh, ran?” asked Angel.
“Is Vegas close enough to run to?” asked Conner looking at the wall on his right, putting his hands in his pockets.
“Um.. No, it’s um…hours away and Emma has ran there before, of course you can’t remember,” sighed Angel, “She’ll be fine,” he looked at him a little confused, “ Left, without you?”
“She thought it’d be better if I didn’t come,” stated Conner.
“Cause Spike knows,” replied Angel folding his arms across his chest, “She won’t be gone long, you’ll miss her, she’ll miss you too much.”
“You miss Nina,” said Conner.
“Of course,” answered Angel, “More then you know.”
Conner’s voice became cocky, “I bet.” He went towards Angel.
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
Conner stood behind him grabbed his shoulders suddenly, Angel was unfazed, “Missed her when you sunk your teeth into her throat.”
“What?” questioned Angel, he looked towards him.
Conner kept his voice to a whisper, “I saw the whole thing,” he took his hands off Angel’s shoulders and put his head on his shoulder, “Daddy.”
Angel stepped forward away from him, turning towards him, “You’ve been hanging out with Emma too long.”
“Denying it?” asked Conner still speaking in a whisper.
“You haven’t told anyone yet?” asked Angel.
“No, not anyone,” replied Conner.
“Why?” asked Angel.
“I don’t care,” said Conner, “You touch Emma, though, things will change, I will care, care a lot, and you’ll be killed, dust in my hands,” he growled.
“But this isn’t like you,” Angel folded his arms across his chest, “You used to look for any excuse you could to be able to get to, kill me.”
“Didn’t say I stopped,” he said, his eyes squinting at him.
Angel and Conner looked at each other for a long moment. Suddenly Angel felt Conner was rather scary, [not in a sissy way though.] “Are you going to kill me, because I can explain.”
“See you later,” said Conner using that cocky voice, walking out from behind the bar and over to the stairs. Angel watched him walk away from him. Watching him, Conner wasn’t afraid to turn his back.
-------------------------------------------------
STILL NIGHT, EARLY. Mary wasn’t afraid to walk alone. Clutched a piece of paper in her hand, didn’t know where she was going either. But little piece of paper, big as her hand, was the key. On it was an address. “Hyperion way?” she asked herself, “Come on Mary, you can find a place,” she looked around her, un sure of herself, “Or can I?”
She wore, a pair of pink jeans a white spaghetti strap shirt with a red jacket and her Mary Janes. But up her sleeve was stake, just incase, “Where?” she asked herself again. She kept walking, no one around to ask directions from.
Mary walked down the street, no one around, all alone. Vulnerable. She heard something behind her. Something quick, something bad. Which was expected, her two pig tails gave her that sort of innocent look, and innocent can be tasty, very tasty to the common vamp.
The vamp came up behind her slowly, Mary had heard him and quickly turned around. She screamed. The vamp backed up, “Hey, hey,” he was acting innocent, calm too, “No screaming, please don’t do the screaming thing.”
Mary looked at him rather surprised, she got quiet, he kept talking to her, “Yeah, you’re surprised, I don’t like being yelled at either, I’ve got feelings too. Just because, this face leads on to different ideas you shouldn’t read me like the cover of a book.”
“You’re a vampire,” stated Mary not believing the conversation.
“Well, yeah, but, no one ever stays around long enough to hear my feelings,” he said, in a voice that he had been hurt, “You know, you really hurt me, I don’t appreciate that screaming thing.”
“Uh… Sorry,” said Mary.
“Well you should be, I’m just having a nice little walk and, I just so happen to pick you for dinner and I sneak up on you, and you start that screaming thing. Everyone does that screaming thing.”
“Um… okay,” sighed Mary, “Why am I talking to you?”
“Well, uh…why am I talking to you?” asked the vamp.
Mary quickly jabbed the vamp in the heart. She let out a long sigh. Suddenly behind her was the growling, low growling of other vampires. Coming. She turned around.
She was going to run, 6 vamps coming in towards her. Mary took off at the fastest pace her legs would take her, but the vamps were close behind. Mary knew she wouldn’t be able to keep running, they were the paranormal, Mary was human, and the vampires had better shoes on too.
Mary turned the Conner on the road and ran into Conner. Conner stood there. Mary fell back and on her butt, “Help, please these men, they’re coming after me,” she finally belted out, “They’re vampires!”
“Okay,” said Conner plainly. Mary stood up, He got in front of her and stood on the side of the corner, looking around the edge, seeing the vamps coming.
Conner stepped out in front of them. He put his arm quickly out and the vamp hit his arm face first. Conner stomped his boot into the demons neck. Dust.
The vampires set their eyes on Conner. Conner flipped forward and leapt through a vamp as soon as he made contact with him. Conner shook the dust off him.
Another vamp threw a punch at Conner, he ducked out of the way jumped up and slammed his feet together on the vamp’s head dusting him. He landed on his feet quickly, vamp came at him from behind and he shot a stake out of his sleeve and quickly turned around and jabbed the stake into it’s heart easily.
Two more. One went at him in front, he punched it in the head dusting it. One leapt over a park car and at him. Conner quickly dodged out of the way and as the vamp landed grabbed him around the neck and grabbed it’s hair, suddenly, finally, he snapped the vamp’s head clean off dust in it’s hands.
Mary came out, “Are they gone?” she asked.
“Yeah,” said Conner, “You know you shouldn’t be out here all alone at night, things come out.”
“Oh, uh, I was going somewhere,” stated Mary, “Umm… do you know where this is?” Mary showed him the address.
“Uh… no,” said Conner.
“You don’t know where Angel investigations is?” asked Mary.
“Yeah, I do,” he looked at the paper funny, the plainly he said, “So, that’s where I live.”
“You can take me, can you?” asked Mary, “Or tell me where it is.”
“Yeah,” answered Conner.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you,” she said getting happy, “I’ve been looking around for hours.”
“Oh, okay,” said Conner, “I’ll take you.”
Mary followed Conner.

ANGEL SAT IN his office, he was whispering to himself as he sat behind his desk. Wesley heard him in the lobby but had no idea what he was whispering about, and to who. Wesley thought it was about time that they had a talk.
“Angel?” questioned Wesley. Wes stepped into his office, Angel didn’t reply, “Angel,” he stated again, Angel just kept looking forward, speaking to himself, “ANGEL!!” yelled Wesley.
Angel looked at him like he was crazy then pulled the cotton balls out of his ears, “Yeah?”
“What, was something too loud?” asked Wesley, “I’m worried.”
“No, I’m fine,” said Angel bluntly, he didn’t want to be hunt down and killed so he didn’t want to start anything. Let any secrets pass him about the voices, he was sure they’d go away. Sure of it.
“I don’t think you are, Angel, it’s not your fault what happened to Nina,” answered Wesley, “None of it.”
“More than you know,” sighed Angel.
“What do you mean?” questioned Wesley.
“I mean a lot,” said Angel, “I mean, nothing really, but, um…” his eyes darted around the room, “I’m sad, very sad.”
“Well, yes, I have been noticing you are sadder than usual,” replied Wesley.
“I’m not always sad,” stated Angel, “But I’m, definitely, definitely, not happy. You know, no happy.”
“You’re going through something, you realize that, and I think you do,” said Wesley.
“I’m not goanna bite him,” said Angel out of no where.
“What, bite who?” asked Wesley.
“No one, well Conner, I said fight, I’m not going to fight him,” replied Angel.
“Logical, he has been at ends since Emma got back, or well left too, something I hope will get better,” answered Wesley.
“You think it’s because I tortured her?” asked Angel, “Why, I’m sad?” he emphasized ‘sad’.
“Well, that could be part in it, you tortured the girl and put her in a box,” said Wesley.
“Don’t remind me,” said Angel, “I’m trying not to do anything.”
“What, you feel like doing something?” asked Wesley.
“It’s nothing okay, I just need to get over this,” said Angel.
“Alright,” sighed Wesley, “I hope you get to feel better.”
“Oh, okay,” sighed Angel.
Wesley stepped out of the room backwards watching Angel, “Alright, I’ll tell you if anything comes up.”
Angel shook his head ‘yes’ then put the cotton balls back in his ears and looked at the wall. Wesley went behind the counter to make a cup of coffee. Or well a whole thing of coffee, “Talk about a man that needs an ipod,” he said to himself.
Wesley looked down at the plant on the desk, “Hmmm….” the plant was dead, “that’s odd.”
“Wes,” said Conner abruptly.
Wesley looked up, “Uh, oh, what?”
“Client,” stated Conner leading Mary into the Hotel.
She looked around, “Cool, an old hotel, wow,” she looked at Wesley who had walked around the counter and offered his hand to shake, “Oh, Mary Heartfield, you?”
“Wesley Wyndam Price,” said Wesley shaking her hand.
“So uh, who’s he?” asked Mary looking at Conner.
“Taken,” said Wesley looking at her, he saw her confused face, “Um… never mind, a girl of such youth, never mind, that’s Conner, how may we help you?”
“Well, I’m looking for a, an Angel,” said Mary.
“A man named Angel or, one with wings?” asked Conner, he saw Wesley‘s look, “Yes, I know what those are.”
“A man,” smiled Mary.
Angel walked up behind her, the cotton balls gone from his ears. Mary turned around suddenly, “Hey, back up please,” she said, “I’ve had enough people sneaking up on me.” It hit her, “You’re that naked sweaty man I found in the bushes, Liam?”
Angel looked down, “That’s a major, time, of my past, what are you doing here?”
“Well, you’re Nina Ash’s ex. Um…I’m her friend Mary,” stated Mary, “Remember, I found you, naked in the bushes, you ran off.”
“You two know each other?” asked Wesley.
“I found him um… a couple of months ago, in the bushes sweaty and naked, something killed my dog, and then uh-” she didn’t really know what words to bring into the situation.
Conner laughed, “Yeah, keep mentioning sweaty and naked, maybe I’ll throw up.”
Mary looked at Angel, “What’s with his attitude?”
“His other half is gone,” replied Wesley.
“Really?” asked Mary, “Cause, I’ve seen a lot in the past couple of months, and I can believe that.”
“No, no, no,” said Angel, “His girlfriend, Conner, go do something.”
Conner smiled at Angel, “She’s Nina’s friend.”
“It’s a small world,” laughed Mary.
“Aren’t you going to talk about Nina?” asked Conner.
Wesley turned to Conner, “I don’t know your problem Conner, but, this could be a very mature situation.”
“Whatever,” said Conner, he turned and went up the stairs.
“Should I leave you alone?” asked Wesley.
“We’ll go to my office,” stated Angel.
“Yeah,” laughed Darla, “My boy, going to take her to the office.”
Angel just passed Darla followed by Mary. Angel closed the door behind him, Darla standing in the door way.
“Sit down,” said Angel.
“I didn’t know so much was connected,” sighed Mary looking down, she sat down in the chair, “I’m surprised I’m standing here with you.”
“What I said, the last time we saw each other I-”
“You’re going to apologize,” she said, “That’s okay, are you better?”
“Of course my boy’s better,” giggled Darla rubbing her hands on his chest.
“I’m getting there,” replied Angel.
“I’ve seen so much,” said Mary, “Nina was a werewolf, then something, killed her.”
“How long have you been friends with Nina?” asked Angel.
“Years, like forever almost,” stated Mary, “Feels like forever.”
“Is something stalking you?” asked Angel.
“What, no, why?” asked Mary.
“Why are you here?” questioned Angel.
“Because, I thought I should meet you, she talked so much about you the last time I saw her,” answered Mary, “Thought we should meet, turns out we have, and what’s with Liam, and Angel, are you gay?”
“What, no, no-”
“My boy is so gay,” laughed Darla sitting on Angel’s desk, “Happy as a beaver.”
“No, no,” said Angel, “I’m not gay, Liam is my birth name, then Angelus, then Angel for short, and I save people so-”
“Can you spell Ironic?” asked Mary, she looked at Angel’s stressed face, “Sorry, I hate to make you feel uncomfortable.”
“How was the funeral, was she beautiful?” questioned Angel.
“The funeral hasn’t happened, kind of why I’m here too,” she sighed, she looked down at the desk, “Um…I was wondering if you would like to come?”
“Look,” smiled Darla, “The little girl has to ask.”
Angel looked from his figment of Darla to the Mary, “When, of course, be there for her.”
“Liked that fatal kiss,” called Darla, “Fatal for them all, give it to little Mary. Giver her a big kiss.”
He whipped his forehead stressfully. Mary let out a small sigh, “I’m sorry, I bet you loved her, sorry, I had said ex. Sorry.”
“Nothing’s your fault,” stated Angel, “Things have just been a little weird, when is the funeral.”
“Well, first, it’ll be an open casket, then they’ll have the ceremony and she’ll be buried tomorrow night,” she said regretfully, her feelings of her loss touching the top of her.
“Night, good,” said Angel.
“Night?” asked Mary, “Wait, what’s this, what are you, I still want to know, what?”
“Why are you asking?” questioned Angel.
“Curiosity killed the cat, Angel baby,” stated Darla suddenly feeling his shoulders.
“Curiosity, more. Last time you and I were together, well, you saved me, but, uh….you leapt up a fire escape, you really beat the crap out of that vampire,” Mary said.
“I’m different,” said Angel.
“Wait, Nina told me, you’re a vampire, with a soul,” smiled Mary, nicely.
“She did,” stated Angel, “I thought she would of.”
“Yeah, I wanted to hear it from the horses’ mouth,” she sighed.
“I’ll be happy to go tomorrow,” said Angel, “I loved Nina, or I think I did, enough to be great friends with her.”
Darla rolled around on Angel’s desk laughing, “Great friends, you sucked the life out of her through her neck!” she was hysterical, happy, excited about that, laughing at the top of her lungs about it.
Angel eyed Darla angrily, or in a sort of a way that meant, ‘shut up’, or ‘not now.’ Mary didn’t pay attention, kind of busy looking down at the ground, she looked up and Angel looked back at her. “You think you can get me there?”
“I don’t have a car,” sighed Angel.
“Oh, uh, I do, here, a rental, but, would you drive me,” she looked down, “Sounds like I’m trying to hit on you, I’m not, I just.” Her voice became blunt, “I don’t feel safe anymore. And you’re a vampire, you help people though, stronger then others, given a greater purpose, I’ll a feel a lot safer with you.”
“I’d be happy to come down to your place and drive you,” he said nicely.
“Thank you, thank you, I hope things start to relax a little,” she said.
“Me too, you tell me where give me the time,” said Angel, “I’ll be there.”
Mary smiled thankfully and stood up.
-------------------------------------------------
CONNER STOOD IN EMMA’S ROOM, had her wet clothes in her hand, the night not full enough for them to have dried, become moist. He smelled her and salt water in the clothes.
“I knew she’d leave you,” stated a familiar woman from behind Conner.
Conner turned around suddenly, “What, you,” Cordelia stood there. “This, you’re not real.”
“Real as you want me,” she smiled, nicely though.
“I don’t want you,” he said backing up from her, dropping Emma’s clothes.
She looked down at the clothes then back up at Conner, “So, I see it, now you’re living in here with that freak.”
“SHUT UP!” demanded Conner
“Shh…” he voice didn’t calm Conner, but he stopped talking for a moment, “Don’t speak to me that way.”
“You’re not real,” growled Conner, “I don’t care what you say.”
“Oh but you do,” laughed Cordelia, “My Death, you don’t remember, do you?”
“That wasn’t true, that was Angelus’ lie, you died in a coma, Emma told me everything,” he spat.
“That Angelus, his mind,” she smiled, “Something to admire about him.”
“Shut up!” growled Conner, “Go back to the hell you came from!”
“You don’t really mean that,” she said, tilting her head to the side, “You don’t.”
“I won’t be tricked, not anymore, especially not from some,” he looked at her more confident, “Some, ugly, stupid, bitch.”
“Oh, that Emma, she’s taught you knew language, never called me that before,” she walked towards him, she looked down, “Back when you were loyal.”
“Go away, nobody wants you, Angel doesn’t want you, I don’t, I’ve moved on-”
“Angelus, that reminds me,” she smiled, “Do you feel it?”
“Feel what?” asked Conner.
“You’re mind, it’s been, altered, changed Conner, my sweetie, it’s been touched by magic,” she laughed.
“Lies, all you tell, lies,” stated Conner folding his arms across his chest.
“No, no, not a lie at that, little Dawn, that pesky slayer’s little sis, messing with magic, things she doesn’t understand is what.”
“She has nothing to erase, she is nothing, just like you,” growled Conner.
“Don’t worry,” smiled Cordelia, she took a breath then ran at Conner and grabbed his ear, and whispered into it, but this whisper was long drawn out.
The whisper was like a magic word, a trigger, deep low, heavy word. He felt a sudden strike of sleepiness, but became wide awake with visions. The visions filling his mind, he fell backwards.
Visions: [Like Ice] Angelus punched her, “Fine then,” Angelus punched her again, “Hold still, it’s about time I showed you what a real man is.”
Flash of light and things came to Conner some more- “GET OFF!!” Emma demanded her wounds healing slowly. Angelus grabbed her by the hair and kissed her forcefully, she pushed him away, “OFF!!!” Angelus put his hands on her chest and forced her down. He got on top of her. Emma struggled and screamed, “GET OFF!!!”
He grabbed the waist of her pants and pull on them as she hit him weakly but as hard as she could and she screamed for him to get off. He just kept smiling. He went vampy faced and bit into her neck still forcing himself on her, pulling on her pants holding her by the hair. Her eyes wide open with fear struggling against him, his cold teeth in her neck. His other cold hand going---
Conner looked up at Cordelia angrily, his heart throbbed, his head hurt. “You-”
“You know it’s not lies I show you,” said Cordelia, she knelt down in front of him, “It hurts, Angel, always getting your girl.”
Conner’s eyes were watering, he breathed hard, growled through his teeth laying back on the bed, having fallen on the floor. His eyes wide opened, he went to punch her and missed. She was gone. He fell on the ground catching himself.
He looked around him, stood up. Conner ran to the bathroom. Bent over the toilet and started throwing up. Cordelia stood up in the doorway. “Poor Conner, but that’s not my game.”
Conner sat up from the toilet and fell back against the wall behind him, he looked straight forward, tears going down his cheeks. Trying to breath, not cough. Cordelia just smiled her smile, “You will have to pay for what we just showed you.”
He looked towards her, angrily, “What?” he growled.
“We will, take something dear to you, that you can’t live without,” stated Cordelia.
“No,” growled Conner coughing.
“We’ll take what we please, in time” Cordelia went away in a flash of light.
“YOU CAN’T TAKE EMMA FROM ME!!!” roared Conner, breathing hard, looking around for her in the room, Conner looked at the toilet. He started coughing again and went to the toilet.

THE DAY WENT BY, THAT NEXT ONE. Angel went to Mary’s wearing, a red button up shirt, pair of black pants and a black suite coat. He met Mary at her door. Mary opened the door before he could knock on it.
“Hello Angel,” she smiled, she wore, a spaghetti strap shirt with a lacey purple one over it and a short pleaded black skirt. Mary didn’t wear her normal Mary Janes, more adult shoes, flat black slip on shoes, [I’m not sure what they’re called.]
“I’m here,” he said.
“Clearly,” she sighed, she closed, “You want to, uh,” she looked back into her hotel room.
“I don’t need to come in,” he sighed.
“Oh, okay,” she handed him a set of car keys and closed the door behind herself.
“Parking garage?” asked Angel.
“Of course,” she replied.
-------------------------------------------------
AFTER A LONG DRIVE THEY GOT THERE. The room was frightening, People all over were sad. Nina’s niece, Nina’s sister, friends, family. Mary and Angel stepped into a room, beautiful flowers of many kinds, all over the place. Pictures of Nina throughout the room.
Pictures of Nina and friends, Nina and family, Nina as a child. Mary was in the one of Nina at high school graduation, etc. The place had a lot of people crying, Angel felt out of place. Listening hearing, the mourning all around.
Mary put her hand on Angel’s shoulder, he was lightly startled. Mary lead him to the main area, main by what laid there. In a casket, the wood, shined, stained Red. Laying beautifully, Nina. She wore a beautiful purple gown, her hair straight like usual, but the way things were she was so much more beautiful.
Angel felt in his coat pocket, inside the rose he’d brought with him. Mary looked almost to tears, just looked it, her voice kept it’s same pace, “Seems like she died so long ago, but it’s, only been, a week. One week.”
“I miss her too,” said Angel, “I didn’t get to know her as well as you.”
“Well enough,” she sighed, “She seems like she’s asleep.” Nina just lay without reply there, Mary bent down and kissed her dead friends forehead bringing herself back up. Mary noticed, stitches on the side of Nina’s neck, in there, on her throat. “Vampire,” she sighed.
“Well,” sighed Angel, he didn’t know what more to do than sigh, feel the sadness.
Mary kept looking down at the body, “I, Angel,” she turned towards him, “I can’t take this, I need some air.”
Angel shook his head ‘yes’ willing to take her somewhere, “Okay.”
-------------------------------------------------
ANGEL TOOK MARY out onto the building’s balcony, too small for too many people, just right for them. It was brisk that night. Mary leaned against the railing breathing, sad. Memories flowing to her. Angel felt out of place there too.
“Do you need to be alone?” asked Angel.
“Not at the moment,” she sighed.
“Oh, cause-”
“Just stay here,” she said, Mary looked up at the night sky, took a breath, then looked back down at the ground below the balcony. Took another breath, “She didn’t look like that, when she slept,” sighed Mary.
Angel looked up a little bewildered, “What?”
Mary took another slow breath, “Just trying to make a little conversation,” said Mary.
“Oh,” sighed Angel, he laughed a little, “I understand.”
“I bet things like this weren’t this awkward,” she sighed, “Back in your day.”
“Well, we didn’t have the same arrangements or anything,” said Angel, “Not as many people came to my funeral.”
“Your Funeral,” she smiled, looking at him, “Oh, yeah, you’re dead.”
Her smiled went away, “Well, I knew there wasn’t that many people cause I could, kind of smell them all.”
“What would want kill Nina, that vamp, he had to have some kind of plot,” sighed Mary.
“Vamps, sometimes, just get hungry,” replied Angel, “That leads to killing people.”
“Just food, some thing’s food,” stated Mary, “This world is horrible, and I thought killing trees was bad, and putting dogs to sleep, people are dying because of, demons wanting food.”
“I wish she hadn’t died,” stated Angel.
“I miss her so much, been my best friend for years,” said Mary a little fed up, not though, looking at things as if she were fed up, “When I met her in kindergarten, I put glue in her hair, and then I had to go to her house and apologize. And from then on we were friends,” she looked at the sky leaning back on the bar of the balcony.
Mary folded her hands over her chest, “You’re cold,” said Angel.
“It’s fine.”
“No,” said Angel, he took his jacket off and put it around her shoulders.
“Thank you,” answered Mary, “I wish she could come back so we could talk.”
“She was a good friend to you,” said Angel, that feeling of coldness, a deep increasing feeling that he hated, deepened more. Shook him to the core, but he stood unfazed.
“We told each other everything, laughed, cried, when my first dog died, she was right there, there to hug me and tell me, we’ll you a new one,” she seemed almost drawn to tears, “She was with me at my first Peace convention.” Mary laughed, “That’s silly.”
“Keep talking,” replied Angel.
“It’s all so silly now,” she looked to the side, just looked, “Silly. I got an old dog from my dad for Christmas, I had wanted a puppy so bad. I was 8, I tried to get rid of the dog but she kept coming back, Nina’s grandma died so I named that dog Nina, and I loved that dog.” Tears went down Mary’s cheeks, “I miss her so much, there’s so many storied I could tell that would just make it worse for me.”
“Then don’t,” sighed Angel, he put his hand comfortingly on her shoulder.
“Take her now, eat her, devour her throat,” laughed Darla standing next to Angel, “Eat her up.”
Angel ignored Darla, “You don’t have to talk at all.”
Mary looked down, she gasped sadly, crying, tears going down her face quickly. Angel quickly took her in his arms and started hugging her, now matter how sweet her blood smelled from there. Her hands rested against his chest.
Darla was gone. He didn’t feel her fake presence. Mary cried into his chest, “When we were in the 10th grade I was jealous because she was getting all the boyfriends.” Mary cried out random things, “I was mad at her when…my dad died, she still had hers.”
The tears made his shirt wet but he didn’t make a notice of it holding her tight, Mary kept going for a moment, “She was my best friend… and now she’s gone!”
“I’ll take you home,” said Angel, “If you want.”
Mary shook her head ‘yes’ on his chest. Angel walked her back in and through the room then leaving, not getting to say any wishes. Nina’s death was his fault he didn’t feel right wanting to do that.
Under Nina’s hands in the casket was a white rose from Angel. Sat there gently. Beautifully.
-------------------------------------------------
CONNER slowly walked down to the lobby. He looked like he’d been sick, his face was white, he looked still like he was sick. Wesley looked at his face, “Conner, you look sick.”
“Oh,” Conner just looked at Wesley for a long moment, “Angel’s not here?”
“With Mary,” stated Wesley, “Is something wrong.”
“There’s something, messing with me,” replied Conner.
“By what means?” asked Wesley, Wes’ voice was truly concerned.
“It showed itself as Cordelia, and showed me,” Conner’s face turned more deeply disturbed then before, “-things, I know are really, I felt are real.”
“Tell me about it, we need more information, did it say anything, key information?” asked Wesley.
“It said it’s going to take something I can’t live without,” growled Conner, “I don’t want it coming back.”
“This is dire, did it say anything though more key,” asked Wesley.
Conner quickly driven on his edge slammed Wesley against the wall behind him, his eyes filling with tears, “I don’t know!” he started trying to calm down, breathing hard, his eyes reverting back from yellow to blue, he let go of Wes, “They, it, kept saying we, I think I could only see it.”
Wesley swallowed, “Have you seen it before now?”
“No,” stated Conner, “Never before now,” his hair hung down on his face, he looked up through his bangs, long bangs, “I think it has something to do with Angelus.”
“Angelus?” asked Wesley, “Really?”
“This thing, it, knows, all about us,” he trembled, “I could feel it.”
Wesley looked down at the ground, “Maybe this thing has something to do with Angel,” Wesley went behind the bar and opened up the desk and pulled out a book, “He might have been being visited by this creature for weeks.”
“Really,” growled Conner.
“Really,” replied Wesley, “We will stop this thing, no matter what is happening.”
“Even if we kill him?” asked Conner.
“I don’t think we’ll have to rely on that,” retorted Wesley going to the bar with the book.
“But if,” stated Conner his voice getting harsher by the second.
“Hopefully we won’t have to get of Angel, or Angelus, for a second time,” stated Wesley.
Conner watched Wesley. Wesley, flipping through the pages of that book, “Fix things,” sighed Conner.
-------------------------------------------------
THE CAR suddenly Stopped. Angel sat there in the seat of the rental car breathing hard. Mary gripped her seat belt for comfort. “ANGEL?!” she demanded. Angel breathed, his face went vampire all of a sudden, then back to normal.
“ANGEL?!” demanded Mary, “Is something wrong?”
Angel looked at her suddenly, hungrily. Not angrily hungrily, but good enough. Mary looked at him, he shook it off, “I’m fine.”
“You started driving real fast,” she looked behind them, pulled over on the night hwy, “I think you might have hit a squirrel. But, more on the fact, you just, drove real fast and, that was scary.”
“I’m sorry,” said Angel, “What happened, did I say anything.”
“Well, first you started eying the road angrily, then drove faster, yelled shut up and,” she was almost in hysterics, “I’m, did I do something.”
“No, no,” Angel pulled back out into the road, “I was, worried.”
“About what, nothing is going on Angel, or is there something that you’re picking up?” she asked, she watched him driving, “I can drive if you, want.”
“No, I’m fine,” said Angel, he shook his head, “I’m going to drop you home and go back to the hotel alright.”
“With the rental car?” asked Mary.
“Oh, no, I’ll run, or walk, however,” stated Angel.
“Okay,” she sighed, “What was that though?”
“I can’t remember,” stated Angel.
“Okay, I guess,” she sighed.
-------------------------------------------------
ANGEL WENT past the lobby and into his bedroom quickly. He slammed the door shut and fell down onto his knees. Looked up at the ceiling, “Stop,” said Angel.
“You try to ignore,” sighed Buffy, “Try to ignore everything that’s around you,” she went towards him, “I would have been here before, but I thought, I think, we think that I have special place,” she put her hand on his heart, “special place for you, right here, all of my own.”
Angel looked at her amazed, hurt, thrown. Buffy smiled wider, “Yes, I’m warm, just like anything of normal, you make me what I am.”
He quickly back up from her, “No, I don’t,” he stated, “I don’t want anything to do with you.”
Buffy’s smile went away, “Poor, poor Angelus.”
“I’m Angel, you can’t wake Angelus out of me,” he growled, “Doesn’t work that way.”
“Dealing with your own demons,” she laughed, then went back to serious and yet concerned looked that she had before, “You are what’s inside, you can’t hide from it Angel, you’ve been hiding too long.”
“No more,” growled Angel, “No more, I don’t want to hear this.”
Buffy went over to him, “You want this, you want that taste of blood back in your system, you want everything. Around you, everything to come to you, free.”
Angel put his hands on his ears, “I can’t hear you!”
“You can always hear us!” scolded Buffy, “You know that, you know everything I’m telling you, you feel in your gut. Your son has-”
“Leave Conner out of this,” growled Angel pulling his hands off his ears and quickly standing up.
“He sees us too, weird thing about these rituals we do,” said Buffy, “But I didn’t have to keep that a secret, do I?”
“I’m not going to be your lap dog,” stated Angel.
“You’ll listen,” she said Calmly, “And when the time comes you will seek what you want.”
“I don’t want this stuff, I don’t want blood,” stated Angel.
“You want it with every particle of your living dead of a body,” she corrected.
“Cause I’m a demon,” said Angel, “But I don’t want it enough, if I do at all.”
“You wrong yourself, you don’t really feel what you have,” she stated.
“I’ll wrong myself for eternity, to keep people safe,” said Angel.
“I don’t see it that way,” said Buffy, shaking her head ‘no’.
“I don’t care, you’re not real, you can’t control me,” growled Angel.
Buffy laughed shaking her head no, “I’m real enough, to you anyway. And I know your edge, I taste it, feel it, know everything about it.”
“You know I won’t do as you want,” stated Angel.
“Fine,” she stated, “You want to ignore me, so be it, but I know you as if I were you,” she turned into Angel, “This isn’t the end.”
-------------------------------------------------
DAY WENT TO NIGHT. Angel sat in his room, feeling a quiet about himself. No voices scolding him, haven’t had them all day, nothing telling him to do their dirty work and so on. He felt, better, maybe this was the end. “It’s never that easy,” he told himself.
-------------------------------------------------
WESLEY HAD found something. Amazingly enough. Wesley holding his book went to Conner who sat in Angel’s office, staring at the desk. “Conner,” stated Wesley, “I found something.”
Conner stood up, “What?” he didn’t seem sick any longer, just really sad, but no tears, no wet eyes.
Wesley put down the book on the desk in front of him, “This here,” there was a symbol in the book, it had a circle then a messily drawn arrow in the middle. A stick figure was drawn in the middle and the arrow pointed to something in a foreign language. “The circle Anglariegn.” [Ang-glur-rain.]
“What is it?” asked Conner.
“It’s a ritual, though I know vaguely about all this,” said Wesley, “And it seems that things aren’t enough.”
“What do we kill?” asked Conner.
“Well don’t you want to know more?” questioned Wes, “Conner, you can’t go in there blind and slay something we don’t know how strong it is.”
“If I want to be, I can be invincible,” stated Conner.
“That was before, when you still could hold great power, now we don’t know all your limits,” stated Wesley.
“I don’t give a damn,” said Conner, “You don’t what, never mind, I don’t have to explain anything to you.”
“It showed you what Angelus did,” said Wesley, “I figured that out just as much, and this is Angel’s demon, you’re affected because your blood.”
“SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!” yelled Conner his eyes going yellow suddenly.
“I know, it’s hard, but, Emma doesn’t know, and this shouldn’t cloud your judgment, none of it, like it never happened,” stated Wesley.
Conner looked down, “I don’t want her taken from me.”
“You can’t live without her,” said Wesley.
“What do you think, first being that knows what I feel,” said Conner, “I don’t care what you think.”
“Without her you feel you’re vulnerable,” stated Wesley.
“This isn’t explain your feelings time,” growled Conner slamming his fist on the desk.
Another piece broke off. “You keep doing that, immature things like that Conner, we won’t have anymore desks, now, listen to me.”
Conner’s eyes went back to normal, “Fine, start talking some more.”
“Alright, I think, us, you going in could be exactly what this things wants.”
“It wants Angel,” stated Conner, “You go with me, we don’t bring him.”
“That could work but, things could turn out terribly wrong,” stated Wesley.
“Then I’ll heal, and get back to the ass kicking,” groaned Conner.
“It’s not that easy, these things never are,” said Wesley, “And,” he looked down at the book, “I don’t know if this spell is active, if we’re looking in the right place.”
“Start hoping we are,” growled Conner.
“Yes Conner,” said Wesley, “You’re scary, we all know it, but this thing, might be a little more scarier, or, more than a little, it may turn your life, our lives, inside out and over again. Turn it all upside down.”
“Go get a sword for yourself, and do whatever magic trick you’ve got, I don’t care we’re going to stop this thing,” growled Conner his eyes going yellow, “I don’t care how scary you think I am, that’s not the point, stopping the thing is the point, and big one.”
-------------------------------------------------
ANGEL WENT DOWN TO The Lobby. No one around down there. Not even the voices to keep him company. That was a relief. Angel sat down at his desk, he looked at it, saw the desk had been broken again.
“Conner,” sighed Angel, “He really dislikes this desk.”
There was a knock on the door way, Angel turned to it, “Mary?”
“Hi,” she said, “You left suddenly,” she walked in, “I never got to give you back your jacket.”
“Oh, that’s okay,” smiled Angel.
“No wonder I found you naked in the bushes you must have all kinds of girls forgetting your clothes,” she said, Angel didn’t reply, “Sorry, that was a little over the top. Tree hugging humor I guess.”
“That’s okay,” sighed Angel, “I feel better, so.”
“Sorry about that whole freak out at the funeral home, I’m just, not usually that way-”
“It’s alright,” said Angel taking his jacket and hanging it up on the coat rack. Angel turned to her, “I’m usually not that way when I drive.”
“I see that,” she laughed, “Not that I’m saying you’re a bad driver or something.”
“No, I’m good,” said Angel, “You want to take a seat.”
“Oh, I’m not going to be here that long,” sighed Mary.
“So, do you live with a guy?” asked Angel, “Back in your apartment, guy clothes.”
“My brother,” she smiled, “Yeah, he’s out all the time, partier.”
“Most young men are,” stated Angel.
“He’s thirty,” she replied.
“I’m 277, in all, someone I worked with told me,” said Angel, “Almost 278.” [Of course now days I’d consider him about 278, but the years of my story are still screw up. So we’ll just ignore that :-P.]
“You don’t look it,” she said.
Angel went towards her folding his arms across his chest, “I get that a lot.”
“I mean, you look like what, 30?” she stated.
“What, I was sired when I was 26,” he said, “I look 30?”
“And great,” smiled Mary trying to fix what she said.
“That’s fine, I get the weird, years a lot,” said Angel.
“Well you’ve been a here a while, 200 and- I’m just going to shut my mouth,” she laughed, she took a breath. They were quiet, for a moment, “This is the happiest I’ve been since Nina you know-”
“I understand, she was dear to you-”
“Don’t get me started again,” she stated calmly.
“Alright then, I won’t,” answered Angel.
“We’re getting a long pretty well,” she said.
“I see that,” said Angel.
“So you’re 277, didn’t know it?” asked Mary.
“Well once one gets so old, the years just, you know, fly by and it’s hard for me to keep up,” answered Angel.
“And you live with a guy that didn’t know his own address till I showed it to him on a piece of paper,” she answered.
“He was raised in a Hell dimension, and so was the girl that told me my own age, but we’re fine,” said Angel.
“And I hate to say it, but, that British guy-”
“Wesley,” said Angel.
“Wesley, I stand corrected, shouldn’t be making coffee anymore,” said Mary.
“It’s worse for that plant,” said Angel.
“Why doesn’t he make tea like other British people?” she asked.
“Well, that girl from the hell dimension likes to hide our stuff, finds it very fascinating,” replied Angel.
“Okay,” answered Mary.
Mary stepped forward, “I feel like I’m doing something wrong.”
“What do you mean?” he asked, “Exactly.”
“I’m happy and Nina, is dead,” she said.
“She’s happy, in a better place,” stated Angel.
“Some how I feel it was my fault, like that vampire, I should of staked him,” said Mary.
“You couldn’t of stopped him,” said Angel.
“Just because I’m a mere mortal,” answered Mary, “You think I’m weak, I’ve taken karate.”
“Of course, I don’t think you’re weak, just vampires are, a big difference to certain things-”
“Really,” she said, “I want you to help me.”
“Do what?” asked Angel.
“Find that, monster, may I say it, bastard that killed my friend and kill it,” said Mary.
“Revenge won’t get anywhere, you’ll still seek it, feel like something hasn’t been done,” said Angel.
“I’m not like most people, Angel, Liam, try me,” she stated.
That is not a form of code. Something like that, Angel suddenly grabbed Mary’s shoulders and kissed her. Mary replied back with the same passion. [which never turns out good :-P, but wait…]
-------------------------------------------------
CONNER AND WESLEY, walked the area of the fair grounds, this place had been cleared of everything around it, no one to walk into them as well. Not to notice the nice old book with the glowing picture of a some archaic symbol leading them somewhere.
Or the guy with an sword. Conner held Wesley’s sword while Wesley lead the way, using the book like it were a stick, one of those that finds water. He kept walking towards wherever the book took him.
Conner sniffed the air, “I smell blood,” answered Conner.
Suddenly Wesley ran into a post and the book shot to the ground in a sudden-ness. Wesley shook that off. “I think we found it,” said Conner.
“We’re looking for an entrance,” said Wesley, “I don’t see an entrance.”
Conner sniffed the air then bent down and pulled the grass up, a patch of it off the ground. Cut in a nice little square, then he pulled up the hand of a door. Old door, pulled right off. Wesley looked at him, “I didn’t bring a flash light.”
“There’s torches down there, I can hear them, smell them,” stated Conner.
“What if the smell doesn’t mean that theirs a spell going, the book isn’t a guarantee,” stated Wesley.
“But I’m feeling tingly,” said Conner, he leapt down into the whole.
Wesley followed, willingly, just hoping he wouldn’t regret it.
-------------------------------------------------
MARY AND ANGEL kept kissing. Their hands all over each other. “Angel,” laughed a voice, “Kill her,” stated Buffy.
Angel pulled away suddenly, “You know, you’re pretty good at that for good girl,” his face went vampire like and he walked towards her.
Mary started screaming, Angel backed off, “Good god,” she stopped screaming, “Girls these days, you’re voices.”
Quickly Angel grabbed her around the arms and dragged her screaming and crying up the lobby stairs towards his room. Mary kicked him between the legs and elbowed him in the face. She took off running down the hall away from him.
Angel groaned with pain, “I really, really, don’t like it when they do that.”
-------------------------------------------------
THE TORCHES LEAD THE WAY. Below ground they kept walking. The book wasn’t needed now, they could just follow the hall. Keep going down the way to find what they needed. Conner sniffed the air, “The blood is getting stronger, the smell.”
Suddenly there was the sound of a low growl. Conner stopped, dropped the sword. Suddenly two large barbaric demons ran out of nowhere at them. Quickly Conner Grabbed their heads put them under his arms and snapped their necks at the same time.
“There’s more,” said Conner picking up the sword.
“I’m going to need that,” said Wesley.
“Okay,” said Conner, the demons started coming out. Conner threw the sword to Wesley, Wesley caught it and stabbed one. A lot of them coming from all over. Wesley spun around and cut one’s head off, “While you’re doing that,” said Conner, “I’m going to go kill Angelus.”
Conner turned around and walked out of the chamber. “CONNER!!” yelled Wesley, he ducked a blow from one of the demon’s axes.
-------------------------------------------------
SLOWLY ANGEL WALKED, walked the hotel lobbies. “I smell your fear,” he laughed, “Smell it all over this place, and I’m enjoying it.”
Marry was a lone of course, she was trying to keep her hard breathing low. “Smart girl aren’t you?” asked Angel, “I can smell you, can’t see you but I will kill you, cause, I’M FEELING HUNGRY!!”
Angel cracked his neck, breathing in deep passing one of the rooms. He then smiled and backed up he went in, “Come out, come out where ever you are.”
A door of the room closed quickly. Angel ran up to the door, knocked on it, “I don’t know where that one leads, but I can find out when I-” he punched a hole through the door once, just for warning, “Get in.
Mary stood on the other side, she had a stake in her hand, breathing hard. Fear filling her ever limb as she stood, she slowly backed up. Angel punched another hole through the door and grabbed the door knobbed pulled it off and took his hand out kicked the door open and ran in.
He ran into the room but Mary wasn’t in there. Suddenly he turned around quickly and grabbed the hand of Mary and snapped it backwards, she dropped the stake. He punched her in the face and spun her around by the hand like they were dancing.
Angel dipped her, “Nice try.”
Quickly Mary punched him in the throat. Angel grabbed his throat and dropped her. She crawled off from him. Angel never has been knocked in the Adams apple. “I don’t breath,” he said rubbing his throat. Then as she ran to the door.
He leapt at her but she slammed the door shut before he could get out and he went right threw it. Mary ran down the hall away from him and down the stairs.
Mary got to the bottom. No Angel in sight, or whoever was making him act this way. Mary went behind a corner, and stood there, trying to calm herself. “I have control,” she said softly.
“No you don’t,” laughed Angel. She didn’t know where he was, she put her hand down the wall going to the reach for something.
Angel walked down the stairs slowly, making as much noise as he could, “You know, I was having fun, we were getting a long so well, and if I didn’t think I could beat you I wouldn’t have started chasing you.”
He went to the corner. Quickly Mary went to throw the fire extinguisher into his head, hit him with it. Angel caught it, laughing. Suddenly Mary pushed the lucky mechanism to make it work, and Angel was shot with the contents of the extinguisher like a fire.
Mary took off down the hall. Angel was a little disgruntled as he kept going, “Wow, girl knows what to do, don’t ya.”
Mary looked around for something in one of the rooms, she could use the stake she had in her back pant pocket but something else, just as affective if needed, or more. She saw an axe on the floor and picked it up. Hid in the bathroom. She got behind the show curtain, was going to stay quiet. She breathed softly, hard, scared. Angel just rooms away, she could still hear him coming. Making loud noises.
Everything went quiet for a long moment. She didn’t know what to think. She gripped the axe. Waiting, waiting for the next move from Angel. He wasn’t going to get her. If she ran maybe, if she fought him, nope. She wouldn’t let him.
She let out a slow breath, suddenly the shower curtain was pulled open and she threw the axe down for a fatal blow. But suddenly the person that had opened up the curtain looked at her, holding the axe handle. Conner, his eyes yellow, Conner put his finger to his mouth, “Shhh….”
Slowly Mary lowered the axe from his grasp. Conner slowly looked at the closed bathroom door. Watched it, waiting for Angel to come along. He stood still. Suddenly the door was kicked opened.
Angel stood there, too fast, Conner punched him in the face. Angel was thrown across the room. He hit the wall of that room and into the next room, not dead, disheveled, not dead, or deader. “Wow, I don’t think that was that little girl who hit me.”
He saw Conner walk into the room, Conner’s eyes reflecting the lights from outside., “Oh, wait,” said Angel, “It was just a different girl.”
Conner growled at Angel. Angel slowly stood up, “Now what, you know, you have gotten weaker.”
“Threw you through a wall didn’t I?” asked Conner his voice the sound of a demonic growl.
“What next?” asked Angel.
Conner stood suddenly behind Angel, tapped on his shoulder. Angel turned quickly around and Angel hit him across the face with the side of his hand, blood splattering on the ground, he hit him again, again, again. Angel flew back against the wall behind him. He slid down it, spitting blood.
“What’s this all about?” questioned Angel, laughing, blood all over his face, “I thought you could kill me in one blow?”
“Didn’t say I was going to yet,” growled Conner.
“Tell me, again, I don’t think you did, what’s this about?” asked Angel, “OH, Emma, never mind, I get the idea.”
“Don’t speak her name!” growled Conner walking forward.
Conner lifted him up the wall behind him. Angel couldn’t move from his grasp, “What do you want from me, I can’t fight you and win,” he smiled, “You know that.”
Angel then punched him in the face and threw the wall. Angel landed on his back. Conner shot through the debris towards him and put his hand out. Angel’s wounds healed suddenly. Angel then decided to flip back up onto his feet.
“Wow,” growled Angel, his face went back to normal, “You do that fast enough, that healing thing hurts.”
Conner jumped up and kicked Angel in the face. Grabbed him by the throat and slammed his face into the window, once, twice. Conner suddenly threw Angel to the ground, “FIGHT BACK!!”
Angel spit blood up, he took in a deep breath. Tried to get back up, “I don’t see the point to this.”
“I’m going to beat this shit out of you till I’m bored and think you’ve paid enough to see the hell you deserve!” growled Conner, “For everything you’ve done!”
Angel stood up, “Come on, kick me why I’m down.”
Conner suddenly bit his wrist, he grabbed Angel by the throat and quickly slammed him in the wall behind him. The plaster cracked. Conner then put his wrist, over Angel’s mouth, let the blood drip into the poor vamp.
After a long moment, Angel not saying no to the idea of drinking a greater beings blood. Conner pulled away. He healed his wrist. Angel licked his lips, “I feel different.”
Conner put his hand forward and Angel’s wounds healed, “Fight me, now.”
Angel smiled, laughing, “Okay.”
Angel quickly went to punch Conner in the face with hit right, Conner ducked out of the way, left fist came, ducked out of the way. Angel’s jumped up and went to kick him in the face. Conner rolled out of the way. Angel kept going. “This scene is a little fuzzy to me, but we’ll play it as be.”
-------------------------------------------------
WESLEY was putting up a mean fight with those demons. He was getting hit and punched, but they were getting killed. Extra bad part was, once Wesley took one down, that one got back up. No good at all.
He quickly stabbed a demon then charged down the tunnel as fast as he could away from the fight scene. Suddenly the demon dusted as they entered some purple barrier. Wesley was unharmed.
The room. That symbol, painted on the ground in white paint, just like the picture. Wesley saw a person laying in the middle of the circle. A boy, teenager, no older than Conner, a little younger. The boy had long black hair and his eyes were an inhuman blue, His skin was white.
The teenager looked up at him, death like, “Help me, please,” he moaned. Wesley quickly grabbed the boy and pulled him out of the circle. The room began to spin immediately and a beam of purple light was shot through the place.
In the chamber the demons were immediately destroyed by the purple beam. And things began to settle down. Wesley held the boy in his arms, “We’ll get you help.”
“The item, the jar, brake it on….” he wasn’t going to last, “ In the room of him, Angel. NOW!!”
-------------------------------------------------
Conner went to punch him but with strength he’d only seen with and speed Angelus Quickly ducked behind Conner and put his arm around the neck and twirled him into the wall, “COOL!” he said energetically.
Angel was amazed by his own strength, or what that blood had given him this time instead. Conner went to punch him but he got flipped to the ground. Conner flipped back up onto his feet back kicking Angel against the wall. But Angel was quickly back, “I asked, That’s goanna kill me?”
Conner then punched him in the face but Angel grabbed Conner by the throat and threw him into the wall, “You’re too strong, how?! I said.”
He jumped up off the ground and kick Angel. Angel ducked and jumped up twirling around he kicked Conner against the wall then went up to the boy and started punching on him with great speed.
Conner flew into the wall behind him.
This time around Conner went through the plaster. Angel then kneed Conner in the face. And punched him then grabbed him by the shirt and threw him up against the wall.
Blood came out of Conner’s mouth as Angel shoved his hand into Conner‘s gut. Conner punched Angel off. Then he slammed Angel through the a wall into the hall.
The wound in his stomach healed. Angelus kicked him across the face and Conner hit the ground. Conner stood up when Angel then Kicked him in the stomach flipping him onto his back. Angel slammed Conner against the wall again the room shook with the power shown between them, plaster this time around falling from the ceiling and nothing was ice.
“Then I said, ‘Bet you didn’t know that, naturally, you could only be killed by yourself ’,” said Angel.
Angel punched Conner in the face, “‘You’re not like me’ I said.” Angel smiled though, “I stole Emma’s powers though. This time I stole yours though.” Angel flung Conner against the wall and punched him over and over again quickly. Blood from Conner splattered on the ground. “‘I thought you’d be more of a challenge, hmm…’ then I can‘t remember what happened, kind of fuzzy” he finished.
Conner looked at him for a long moment, that long moment hadn‘t been taken during their previous fight. Conner was already angry, very angry. He didn’t have to slam Angel off of him, Angel was already off, watching his boy. Conner kicked Him across the head. Angel flipped back up on his feet and Conner now ducked Angel’s throws.
Conner started punching Angelus in the face repeatedly. He kicked him in the crouch. He jumped up and twirled around punching Angelus. Then he twirled around and kicked him across the face.
“No sword,” stated Angel, blood dripping down his face, “Oops.”
“I’ll make do!!” roared Conner. He then kicked Angel against the wall and punched him. Angel pushed him back.
Angelus was now bloodied up badly. Conner punched him in the face. Angel laughed through the blood on his face that healed. Angel couldn’t remember Angelus’ nasty little comment from last time.
Conner kept punching him, “THIS IS FOR EMMA!!!” roared Conner, Conner shot a stake out of his shirt sleeve and stabbed Angelus in the crouch with it then….
“Eneptduium!” [In-ept-two-do-ee-um.] yelled Wesley. Conner and Angel were thrown a part. Mary stood with Wesley in the room. Wesley held a jar made of glass, “DON’T KILL HIM!!” yelled Wesley, “He’s being controlled.”
“What’s that?!” demanded Angel.
Wesley quickly threw it down and the glass shattered. A serge of purple light went through the room. Angel gasped. The light shot through the area but, this was L.A., shooting lights, not a big deal, probably just some kind of radioactive reaction. Nothing big.
They all relaxed. Not Conner, he stood up, fully willing to beat the living day lights out of Angel, kill him again, then kill him some more if he kept coming back.
“Conner,” stated Wesley in a low voice, scolding one, “Angel was being controlled, he hasn’t commited any such crimes towards you and yours, now, go calm down somewhere.”
Conner looked from Angel and Wesley. He threw down the stake he held and walked angrily out of the room. Wesley looked at Mary, “Are you alright?”
Angel slowly stood up. Mary watched him, “A little blown you could say,” she stated, “I uh, I think I should go home.”
“I’m sorry Mary,” stated Angel.
“We’ll talk about it later, I just, want you to, stay away for a little while,” she said walking away from him.
“I’m sorry,” sighed Angel as she left.
“Lets get down to the lobby,” stated Wesley.
-------------------------------------------------
CONNER LEAPT down onto the lobby floor. He was still fuming angrily. Conner went up the large purple seat and kicked it. The thing shot across the room. Didn’t damage anything. Conner punch a post on the bar and it broke. Conner’s fist bled.
He started calming down slowly. Conner went to weapons cabinet, “CONNER!” yelled Angel. Conner’s eyes went back to normal as he threw down the weapons cabinet, everything it was made up of crashing and braking.
“No more of this Conner, try something again, you’re leaving here, for good!” roared Angel going down the stairs with Wesley, “You understand.”
Conner looked at him aggressively, “So, you tell me to do a lot of things!”
“I mean it,” growled Angel.
“We have a problem,” stated Spike at the doors into the Lobby from outside.
“And it’s not the bloody hurricane that came through here,” said Emma calmly standing next to Spike.
