TIMELINE: After Empty Places, S7 of Buffy and S4 of Angel.
DISTRIBUTION: If you want this story on your site, please tell us.
AUTHOR’S NOTE: Most of BTVS Season 6 happened with the following differences. Buffy and Spike were only friends, although he is still in love with her. Season 7 changes include Andrew coming to Buffy after he killed Jonathan. The power the First had over him broke when he realised what he had done. Buffy knows she is Connors mother; she remembered the forgotten day and saw what the Powers did with her son.
AUTHOR’S NOTE 1: AtS season four. Connor came back alone. Cordelia not a higher being. She convinced Angel they were meant to be that Buffy no longer wanted him. The AI team defeated the Beast just like Angel dreamed in during Awakening.

FEEDBACK: Yes please. Please send in your reviews and I shall pass them on to my co-author.
DEDICATION: To all the fans of Buffy who thought that everyone was wrong to kick her out in Empty Places.

Chapter 3:

Whistler and Buffy walked to Angel’s old mansion, talking as they walked down the deserted street of Sunnydale. They talked about what had happened in the past few years in Sunnydale, what had happened in Los Angeles and were now talking about Whistler’s clothes.

“Why in hell are you wearing an orange shirt? It’s just so wrong,” Buffy said exasperated, as she looked at the shirt in question.

“I like orange, and this was the only shirt that fitted me,” Whistler said in reply as he rolled his eyes at her. Buffy’s cheerleader side was now making a show, which caused Whistler and all the higher beings to have a bit of a laugh.

“Only shirt that fitted you? Oh come on, you work for the PTB, I’m sure they provide at least a good wardrobe,” Buffy paused before nodding, “Well we can
Obviously see they don’t know anything about clothing by what you and Cordelia are both wearing.”

Whistler couldn’t help but smirk at that and nodded before letting out a sharp, “Hey!” when his brain clicked in that Buffy had just basically insulted him.

Buffy smiled sweetly at him and he shook his head, as the entered the old mansion. “At least I’m not the one who wore purple flowers in her hair!” was the last parting shot as the door closed behind them.

Spike got off the motorbike, Andrew behind him and they walked up to the wooden door of the Summers’ home. Spike frowned, the house and the people inside felt odd. “What is it?” Andrew asked, looking at the bleached blonde.

Spike only shook his head in answer and walked inside, now noticing that everyone was arguing, Dawn was crying, Angel was brooding once more, half of the SIT’s and Cordelia had a smug look and more importantly, Buffy wasn’t there.

“Where is Buffy?” he said quietly to himself. So low that no one but Angel could have heard him. Glancing at the older moron, he knew that the Poofster had heard him.

“I have to pee!” Andrew cried and ran upstairs; leaving everyone to look disgusted, as they didn’t really want to know that. Spike raised his eyebrows slightly and said, “He’s a breath of fresh air, thank god I don’t breathe.”

“Was he doing the PeePee dance?” one of the teenage girls sitting on the floor muttered to each other.

Couple of the girls giggled among themselves.

Giles stepped forward, wiping his glasses that Spike for some reason took as a sign of nervousness. “What did you find?” he asked and Spike just said, “Where’s the slayer?”

One of the potentials that was on Kennedy’s side said, “Right there” and she pointed at Faith.

Spike looked at the potential and sighed, “Not her you stupid bint, Buffy.”

The girl continued to look at him like maybe she was a true blonde!

Spike used his fingers for quotation marks. “The original chosen one. She who died two times to save the bloody doomed world.”

“Well, we had…we…she...decided to take a break,” Willow finally stuttered out. Spike realised what had happened and smirked, nodding. “Been practicing that long?” he asked and Willow took a step back.

“You sad ungrateful gits.”

“Listen boy…” Angel began but was soon interrupted by Spike’s fist hitting his nose. “Never, call me that. You are NOT my sire,” Spike growled out.

Angel flipped himself up and the two vampires stood, facing each other both their game faces had falling into place and yellow eyes flashing at each other. Spike realized he should have taken care of the ‘Nancy-boy gel wearing ungrateful Grand-Sire Poofster’ years ago!

As he reached up to land another punch on Angel he was suddenly being tackled but a nasty smelling Slayer. Ew she smelled like Principal! When do these people have time to screw anyone?

“Get off me!” Spike growled.

“Not until you listen,” Angel snarled.

That did it for Spike. He kicked Faith off him, realizing she wasn’t on top of her game at the moment, he quickly did a spin kick and Knocked Miss-I’m-better-than you-Slayer on her ass.

Andrew was back, he realized he was the only person laughing at Faith.

Spike stood up and looked at each ungrateful face and noticed most of them had their eyes down, even the Watcher and especially the Witch.

“Well well well, you kick the only person who can actually stop this out?”

“They did what?” Andrew shouted.

“Now see here,” Giles sputtered.

“Oh, we have to find her, Spike. She’s like our Electra! We have to tell her about the…” Andrew couldn’t finish the sentence due to Spike’s hand covering his mouth.

“Huh?” Dawn finally lifted her head and shrugging out of Willow’s grasp.

Spike noticed the look on Red’s face, was that hurt?

Spike took one last look around and stared hard at Angel.

“Fucking moron,” he spat out at the older vampire.

“You don’t know what you are talking about boy,” Angel growled.

“I know more than you think. She loves you and only you. You broke her heart and left her to deal with everything on her own. You turned that deceitful bitch into a Buffy wanna be.” He stopped then turned to Cordy with a smirk on his face he continued”Oh by the way Cordy, nice dye job and nice perfume. I believe it is the same stuff Buffy wears.”

Andrew stared at the Witch, “Spike we need to go,” he grabbed Spikes jacket and pulled him.

“Damnit Andrew! What did I tell you about touching the jacket?”

“Something about taking the Force from me?” Andrew muttered opening the front door.

Spike turned back to the group “You all can rot, if you want to know what we found at that damn church you can go get it yourself, this information is for the Slayer, the real one. Besides I don’t trust any of you with this info. But I will tell you this, it is The Big One,” he snarled as he fixed his jacket and smoothed the wrinkle that Andrew placed on his jacket.

“Oh that’s a laugh,” Xander chuckled.

“Isn’t it,” Faith snapped.

“Bloody Priceless, well have fun in hell,” Spike growled and slammed the door shut.

“We have to find her,” Andrew hugged himself like he was cold.

“Have you ever explored the other side?” Spike asked him

“The dark side will not have its way with me!” Andrew cried out waving his hand.

Spike rolled his eyes, “Actually I meant are you gay?”

Andrews face became shocked. “Huh...What…huh?”

Spike smirked his evil grin, “Buffy said you were easy and damn boy.”

“Oh… ok,” Andrew said slowly following Spike.

‘I’m not though, of course I’m not…am I?’ Andrew thought to himself and frowned slightly, his eyes catching Spike’s backside. ‘No! Stop it’

Its going to be a long night, Spike thought as he sniffed and turned in the direction of her scent there was something else with her.

After Spike and Andrew left no one said anything. Then all of a sudden everyone started yelling and some of the girls were crying.

“Enough,” Giles yelled.

The room became silent again.

“Do you think they are right?” Xander asked softly staring at the door.

“No,” Giles said closing his eyes.

“Of course they are right! I can’t believe all of you,” Anya yelled.

“What?” Willow stuttered.

“You heard me. Sure, me and Buffy don’t get a long and I’m pretty sure she was the one who sent me a bunny for Christmas and put the other Bunny we found in the Magic Store causing me to wish I had Valium,” she breathed, “ But she is the Slayer, no offence to you,” She pointed to Faith.

“Buffy’s saved our lives so many times and saved the world, she even died for you,” pointing to Dawn.

“I feel sick that I was apart of tearing her life apart, hell for bringing her back from heaven,” she closed her eyes.

“And you,” she snarled at Angel. “She is your Mate. I know she is I saw the mark, and is there is no mark on the Cheerleader neck and never will be? Nope. You should be with her, fighting at her side. I heard you use to be the Big Bad Angelus but now you screw that thing and ignore everything that’s in your heart and your soul. I know what the mark means Angelus! I have been around forever!”

Angel looked down.

“What does it mean and how come you haven’t marked me?” Cordelia whispered reaching around to touch her neck

“Anya’s right, but Mom said Buffy couldn’t be trusted that she would turn on us. That she wouldn’t be there when we needed her the most. She wouldn’t be there for me,” Dawns voice became higher with hysteria.

“Mom…don’t you mean The First? You know Buffy wouldn’t leave you, you know that. And you did exactly what the First wanted, you kicked her out. She will now fight the first alone because of our little intervention we had today. We’re all going to die. A very slow and painful death!” Anya stood up and pushed her hair behind her shoulders.

“We are so screwed,” Anya whispered wondering if she should run after Spike. Sure, she wasn’t a Buffy fan but hey it was safer with her than an out of control Vampire Slayer and the rest of these misfits.

“We’re screwed,” Anya repeated
