"Hey sis, you in there?" Spike said as he waved his hand in front of her face, trying to get her attention. They were in their first class of that day, psychology, and it was more one of, in his mind at the moment of course, Spike's better classes and for Buffy she kind of hated it.
"Yeah, sorry. I was just thinking." Buffy said coming out of her thoughts.
"You alright?" Spike asked looking concerned.
"Yeah just thinking about the weird dream I had last night. You and I were in a graveyard talking, well yeah, we were, but you found it unnatural for me to want to be with you. You wanted to fight and I didn't but I had to. I wasn't scared or anything just worn out kind of like I was tired of fighting and I needed a break. We found this thing and we ran over to attack it and that's when I woke up." Buffy said explaining her entire dream.
"Wow, that is weird. I had one too. It was in the late 1800s or something. I went to some fancy party where I saw Cecily, you remember her right?" Spike said, but before he could let Buffy say something mean about her he continued, "Well, she said I was beneath her just like that one time and then I went running out of the party and in to some dark alley, where I started to tear the poem I had written for her in to little pieces. Drusilla then came and said some things that made feel all better, you know how she was, well anyway, she said she could make me something better, so she bit my neck and when I woke up, in my dream not in real life, I was a vampire. It was really weird." Spike said and Buffy was about to say something, but the professor, Professor Walsh, started talk.
At the end of class Professor Walsh called Buffy up to her desk. She started by calling Miss Summers but, just like Professor Fine, ended up calling Buffy since Buffy wasn't responding to her last name.
"Yes, Professor?" Buffy said as she and Spike walked up to the desk.
"May I ask why you brought Hostile 17 to class with you?" Professor Walsh looking from Spike to Buffy, who seem to be trying to contain some laughter.
"Um, Hostile 17, you got to be kidding me, since when is Will hostile." Buffy said having a hard time keeping from laughing.
"Since he became a vampire and where's Riley?" Professor Walsh said and the moment she mentioned Riley both Buffy and Spike became serious.
"What?" Professor Walsh asked a little worried by their sudden change in mood, worried that something had happened to Riley that she didn't know about.
"You know Riley was an abusive jerk to Buffy, why would you even bring him up." Spike said angrily and the tone that he had scared both Buffy and Professor Walsh a little.
"Hostile 17 or Spike, Riley has never done anything to hurt her. He loves her, yes it bugs me sometimes because I feel it gets in the way of his work but no he has never hurt her or her family." Professor Walsh said trying to calm Spike and Buffy down, but more Buffy than Spike.
"What work would that be, destroy innocent girls lives?" Spike asked heatedly.
"No, capturing demons and monsters to study them. You know what he does, Spike, since he brought you to the Initiative and had that chip implanted into your brain." Professor Fine said a little confused.
"What's the Initiative and what chip?" Buffy asked in almost a whisper but both Spike and Professor Walsh heard her.
"I don't know what happened to you two, but it's the military operation that allows us to study certain demons and learn how to either kill them or tame them, in Spike's case we learned how to tame him by implanting a chip into his brain that only allows him to hurt and kill inhuman things." Professor Walsh explained.
"Ok, Buffy we might want to get going since we both have classes now." Spike said as he started to head out the door, but not before giving Professor Walsh a glare.
"Something is definitely going on, Will. Too many people are saying that we're not brother and sister let alone related." Buffy said, the two were headed towards Spike's Desoto, why it was there nobody knew, because Spike wanted to take her somewhere for a bite to eat before their next class.
"I agree, it's too weird. We should look into it." Spike said opening the car door for Buffy.
"Ok my music. I think you'll live." Buffy said once Spike had started the car.
"Fine, but no Avril Laviegne." Spike said and Buffy started looking around the front seat.
"Hey, where are my CDs? I thought I left them in here." Buffy said looking frantically for her music.
"Didn't touch them, love." Spike said and Buffy suddenly looked up at him with a weird look on her face.
"Since when do you call me love? What happened to Niblet and all those other names?" Buffy asked curiously.
"I don't know. Didn't mean to. Sorry." Spike said apologetically.
"That's ok." Buffy said and then turned the radio on.
"When did you start listening to bleedin' country?" Spike said a little harsher than he had meant to.
"Since, I don't know, but I like it and we're listening to it." Buffy argued.
"Fine, whatever." Spike said and then turned his eyes to the road.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Buffy asked just a little heatedly.
"Just means I don't like country music, that's all." Spike said not taking his eyes
away from the road.
"Well, alright, whatever." Buffy said and then turned the volume up.

"It wasn't bad. That's all you're getting from me about it." Spike said as pulled into the parking lot of the diner and parked.
"Fine, well let's go get some food. I'm starving." Buffy said as she shut off the radio and got out of the car.
