Spike bust through the door of the magic shop and everyone looked at him funny.

“What are you doing here Spike?” Xander asked.

“Buffy asked me to be here,” Spike said.

Buffy came out of the training room. “You’re here,” she said, running over to him.

Spike wrapped his arms around her and kissed her hair. “You okay, Pet?” He asked.

“Giles is leaving. He’s moving back to England,” Buffy whimpered.

Giles came out of the training room and frowned at Buffy in Spike’s arms. “ Buffy you have to see that this for the best,” he said.

Buffy turned to face Giles. “Abandoning me?!” She flared. “Where is that for the best?”

Spike rested his hands on her shoulders. “Pet calm down and lets discuss this,” he said.

“How can you say that?” Buffy asked, glaring at him.

“You’re upset and not thinking rationally,” Spike said, softly.

“Why are you taking his side?” Buffy flared. “After what happened? I trusted you.”

“I know you did and I’m not taking anyone’s side,” Spike said, trying to calm her down.

“You’re supposed to be on my side. God you’re just like the rest,” she snapped.

Spike backed off with hurt in his eyes.

Buffy sighed. “Spike, I’m sorry. I’m just…”

“Buffy,” Giles interrupted. “Perhaps we should talk about this.”

“And say what Giles?” Buff asked, turning around.

After a moment, Tara and Buffy fainted. Spike barely caught Buffy as she collapsed.

“What happened?” Dawn asked.

“I don’t know, Nibblet,” Spike said, looking for injuries.

Buffy stirred after a few seconds. “Who are you?” She asked, looking at Spike.

“You don’t know me?” Spike asked, confused.

Buffy shook her head. “No, but you’re cute,” she said, then blushed.

Tara stirred a moment later. “What happened?” She asked, groggily.

“Tara?” Willow asked carefully.

“Yeah?” Tara asked, looking at Willow

“You remember us?” Xander asked.

“Why wouldn’t I?” Tara asked.

“Cuz Buffy doesn’t,” Dawn said, frantically.

Tara looked at Buffy. “I feel powerful magic around her,” she said, then looked at Willow. “You did it anyway?”

“What do you mean?” Giles asked.

“Last night, I told Willow no more magic because she wanted me to forget we had a fight and she wanted Buffy to forget she was in heaven,” she said, accusingly.

“Rupert!” Spike yelled.

“What?” Giles asked, a little shocked by the vampire’s outburst.

“Do something. Don’t you think it’s bad enough what she had to go through. Neither of us knew and neither did Dawn. We’re the ones she’s turning to, but no matter what we do, the two of you cant back off,” he growled at Willow and Xander.

Buffy cowered towards Spike at his anger. “Please, stop yelling,” she whispered.

“Sorry, Pet,” he said.

“I was just trying to help,” Willow said, softly.

“I think you’ve done enough,” Giles said. “Spike, take Buffy to the training room. I don’t wanna scare her.”

Spike nodded and took Buffy’s hand. He was surprised when she followed him willingly.

Giles waited ‘til the door closed before looking at Willow. “Willow, did you not learn anything?” He flared.

“I’m sorry,” Willow said.

“Reverse it,” Giles commanded.

Willow took out the crystal and dropped it on the floor. She crushed it under her foot and waited.

In the training room, Buffy blinked a couple times. “Spike?”

“Buffy?” Spike asked, hopefully. “What do you remember?”

“Yelling at you,” Buffy said, softly. “I’m sorry.”

“Don’t worry about it,” Spike said, pushing her hair back. “Red tried to make you forget that you were in heaven.”

“What?” Buffy asked.

“Didn’t work right. You lost all your memories,” Spike said.

“I think its time to have a chat with my friends,” she said, going to the front of the shop.

Everyone looked at her as she came out with Spike. “Buffy?” Giles asked.

“Giles, can you please stay? Just a little bit longer. I cant trust the rest of my friends,” Buffy said.

Giles looked at her then at Spike who nodded. “Yeah, I’ll stay but you have to take charge of your own life,” he said.

“Oh, I am,” Buffy said, looking at her friends and Dawn. “Dawnie, please don’t think that this has anything to do with you. You didn’t do this to me.”

Dawn nodded. “Are you okay?”

“Yeah. No thanks to the rest of you,” Buffy said, facing the 4 people who tore her out of heaven.

“Buffy…” Willow began.

“Save it,” Buffy growled. “I cant believe you Willow. Haven’t you cause me enough pain?”

“I didn’t mean to cause you any pain,” Willow said.

“But you did,” Buffy said. “You pulled me out of heaven and just expect me to get over it. This is who I am. Willow I am in so much pain that instead of taking it out on you, I’m taking it on the 3 people who didn’t have anything to do with it. All they are trying to do I help and take care of me.”

“So are we,” Xander said.

“No, you’re trying to make me get over the fact that I was happy. The only reason you guys want me to get over it because you feel guilty. Tara, Xander, Anya, I understand you guys wanted me around and you didn’t know what I was going through. But Willow, you should’ve respected the laws of death. Not only that, you should have just let me be once you found out I was happy. You’re the one who is still trying to save me when I don’t need to be saved. Dawn saved me the night I came back and Spike took care of me. Well he was going to until you guys got there.”

“And I told you last night not to,” Tara said. “You promised me a week. You couldn’t… You tried to make me forget our fight but it didn’t work.”

“Tara I’m sorry,” Willow said.

“My God, Willow. Do you not see what you’re doing?” Tara asked. “I thought if I told you that you were using too much magic you’d stop.”

Buffy looked at Giles. “Giles, I don’t know what to do,” she said, truly lost.

“I think Dawn should go home,” Giles said.

“Can I take her?” Tara asked. “I need to get out of here.”

Dawn nodded. “Yeah,” she said, leaving with the Wicca.

“Why’d you want Nibblet to leave?” Spike said.

“In case I say or do something that I don’t want her experiencing,” Buffy said. “I’m this close to blowing a fuse and you don’t want to see me blow a fuse.”

Xander looked from Willow to Buffy. “Buff, I’m sorry,” he said.

“I know. You’re all sorry but that’s not gunna make it better. I’m still in pain,” Buffy said, softly.

“But we didn’t know!” Willow flared.

“Why would anyone think that I deserve an eternity in hell? What did I do that was so wrong?” Buffy asked. “And Tara? You saw what Glory did to her! If you guys had a fight, you don’t try to make the other forget it, Willow. I fight with Spike all the time. I smack him and that’s the end of it.”

“Hey,” Spike said.

Buffy looked at him and smiled. “What? That’s what happens and you know it,” she said.

Spike tried to scowl but failed. “You’re mean.”

“That was low and you love me anyway,” Buffy said.

“So?” Spike pouted.

“Buffy?” Willow cut in. “What do you want me to do?”

“I need some space. For a little while. I need to be away from the three of you. I’m sorry but I need to learn to accept this.”

Willow nodded trying to fight her tears. “I’ll move my stuff out of the house,” she said, leaving the shop.

Buffy looked at Spike then at Giles. “I’m gunna head out too. Tomorrow I’d like to talk to you about some stuff,” she said.

Giles smiled a little. “I’ll come to your house,” he said.

“Thanks,” she said, then gave him a hug. “I’m glad you’re staying.”

Giles stroked her hair. “Me too.”

Spike couldn’t help but smile a little.

Buffy pulled away and pulled Spike toward the basement. “Come on. I don’t know the sewers and I’d rather you weren’t able to fit in an ash tray,” she said.

Spike and Buffy entered the crypt and Buffy collapsed in Spike’s bed. “Your beds comfy,” she said, appreciatively.

Spike smiled and reached under her. He was surprised when she didn’t jump or tense while he took her jacket off. He pulled the comforter up over her and kissed her temple. “Get some sleep and I’ll take you home when the sun sets. Dawn will be okay with Tara,” he said, laying beside her innocently.

Buffy closed her eyes and sighed in contentment. “Thanks, Spike. It means a lot that you’ve been around to help me through this,” she said.

“Don’t worry about it,” Spike said, smiling. “I wanna help.”

Buffy turned over and snuggled against him. “If I’m lucky I’ll sleep ‘til sunset,” she whispered.

“You will. I promise,” Spike said, softly.
