BATHE, ENGLAND - 2022
Everyone is gathered in Faith's room for the debriefing. The Slayer had to have surgey to repair her lung and shattered ribs, but she is recovering at home. Dawn and Maple are sitting on a sofa in the robes, bandaged up. Willow is sitting next to Maple with her arms around her and Gia. Dawn finishes telling the group about Amy and her plans. Tears begin to run down both Maple and Willow's cheecks. After Dawn is done, everyone sits there for a moment.
SPIKE AND XANDER-
"What a bitch!" The Scoobies start to laugh a little as the two stare at each other. Dawn grabs her crutches and stands up.
DAWN-
"Well, I'm going to hobble out for some fresh air." After Dawn leaves, everyone's eyes turn to Xander. He looks back nervously.
XANDER-
"What? Did my contact fall out again?"
GILES-
"No."
BUFFY-
"Xander, what are you waiting for?"
XANDER-
"What do you mean?"
ALEX-
"Come on, dad. Don't you need some fresh air, too?"
BUFFY-
"Go, Xander." Xander leaves and runs up to Dawn, and kisses her.
DAWN-
"Xander, not here...."
BUFFY (yelling from the room)-
"DON'T WORRY, WE'VE KNOW FOR ABOUT A MONTH NOW!!"
DAWN-
"Wait, they already knew....Xander, did you tell them?"
XANDER-
"No....I guess they figured it out on their own." They kiss again, and move towards Xander's bedroom.
The others move about the house, Buffy and Spike seat on the sofa. They hold hands and look into each others eyes.
SPIKE-
"Sweetheart, are you sure you're okay about Dawn and Xander?"
BUFFY-
"Dawn's a mature adult now, and if she is going to fall in love with someone, it should be Xander." Buffy looks back into Spike's eyes.
BUFFY-
"Spike?"
SPIKE-
"Yes."
BUFFY-
"Ow."
SPIKE-
"Ow?"
BUFFY-
"Ow, ow, ouch, ahhhh!" Buffy holds her stomach, and Spike can see that the front of her gray pants are wet. "Spike, don't just seat there...it's time."
BATHE HOSPITAL
The nurses roll Buffy into the delivery room on a gurney. Spike is running alongside, while most of the others are in the waiting room. Maple stayed at the house to watch over Faith. In the delivery room, the happily married couple wasn't too happy. Spike was on his knees from a wristlock move that Buffy was giving him.
BUFFY-
"Spike, once I get out of this...you're dust, YOU BASTARD!! YOU DID THIS!!!"
SPIKE-
"Oh, God....let go."
Twenty hours of labor later, and Faith and Maple were watching a vidphone with Spike, a very exhausted looking Buffy, and the newborn twins, William and Kennedy Summers.
MAPLE-
"Faith, I think I'm going to be okay."
FAITH-
"'course you are. You're home."
