The truth and nothing but the truth.
This morning I called as promised and Joyce came an hour later to pick me up.
In the car ride, I didn't say a lot, neither did Joyce.
It was weird, sitting in a car with my cousin who's a half vampire.
I guess she never killed before and it's not her fault she was born this way, I'll try to be nicer next time.
I did ask one thing, it just came out of my mouth, I had no control over it, or I wouldn't have asked it.
When we arrived, Joyce didn't go upstairs this time, she stayed downstairs, with my mom and me. I still think it's weird to say My Mom, I haven't had a mom for 14 years, it feels weird.
Today, I was ready to hear everything about Buffy and Spike, I wasn't ready to hear the truth about my mom and dad, it was still to soon.
To painful.
"I want the whole truth this time, okay ?"
Mom nodded, but first she asked me something in return.
"Where did you go when you were sick. I know you went some place before you went to the hospital. Where ?"
"If I tell you this, you need to tell me everything from now on, no more lies."
Mom nodded again and I told the truth, sooner then I had planned.
"I found something on the computer, that Buffy Anne Summers died only one month ago, and that she lived in a house not far from here. So I went there, but found Faith, as a vampire. But the next time I went she was gone, vanished, and everything I saw when I saw Faith looked different as if she had never been there. Oh, and think Faith said she had a soul or something. And she also said that Joyce killed Buffy a month ago because you made her. And that you were using me. But I guess after all that happened, I thought it was a dream or something."
Mom stood up and walked to the closet, opened it and got a newspaper out of it.
"It must have been a dream." she said after sitting back down.
"Yeah, i guess. But how do you know ?" I asked.
Then she showed me an old newspaper of six years ago or so.
It said that a young black haired woman that was wanted for murder, was murdered herself, on the same way as a blond haired woman that was six years before that.
"Faith ? Are they talking about Faith ? Was she killed six years ago, and Buffy six years before that. Did she really die when Joyce was only eight ?"
Joyce nodded.
"I was telling you the truth, I lost my mother when I was eight."
I was stunned, this was the first thing I heard that wasn't a lie when they first told me.
"Were they both killed by Spike ? How did they die, were they bitten ? Cause if they were, it is possible I saw Faith, isn't it ?"
Mother shook her head.
"No sweetie, Buffy and Faith were both strangled. There was no possibility of them ever becoming a vampire."
I understood, I now knew when Buffy died, and when Faith died, I didn't even have to ask.
"Eum, I only wanna know this about Xander and Willow, are they still alive ?"
"Willow vanished after Xander died, right after Buffy, she was never to be heard of again."
Okay, i know I said I only wanted to know if they died or not, but I needed to know more. What can I say, I'm a very curious girl.
"How did Xander die ?"
"He was bitten, he was mad that Spike killed Buffy, he went to kill Spike and he was bitten. We lost him too, and several weeks after that, Willow just vanished. Maybe she's alive, maybe not, I haven't much hope anymore."
I saw this was painful for my mother to talk about, but I was on to something, so she needed to tell me more.
"Willow, was she very powerful at that point ?"
My mom confirmed she was and I had a small idea who she is now or where she might be, but I got distracted by asking something else, again.
"Wait, just one last question, when exactly did Spike leave Sunnydale, if he was here six years ago and killed Faith, when did he leave ?"
I was confused again, I mean, wouldn't you be ?.
"He left a long time ago, but Faith was Faith, she couldn't let a vampire escape, especially not him, she tracked him down, fought with him, lost, but survived, she came back to Sunnydale, but she wasn't the only one. Spike came back too, he wanted to kill her, he did."
This was very sad for me to hear, I mean, they were the strongest slayers ever, they were always stronger then Spike, so I've read, but then he was suddenly stronger and killed hem all. But again, I didn't get all of it.
"I thought Spike fell in love with Buffy before he got his soul. So why didn't he keep loving her after he lost his soul again ?"
"Loosing his soul for a second time made all the love and humanity he had in him disappear. It was weird, but he wasn't the same Spike anymore as we knew him to be for several years."
After that, I said my goodbyes and went back to the orphanage, I still didn't say anything about the First, I know I should, but one or two day; it isn't gonna matter a bit if it escapes.
Okay, I said I was on to something, where Willow might be.
I think Willow is Nadia.
I mean, she has the same type of hair Willow had, and right after she visited me in the hospital, I was all better.
That must have been magic, again, something that Willow was very powerful at.
I have seen one picture of Willow so far, but I was pretty out of it at the hospital and Willow has aged, so if she is Nadia, a picture of 16 years ago or so wont matter much.
I'll investigate it, and if she is Willow, I'll find out, if she isn't, I'll also find out who she is
