Spike sat against the front door waiting for buffy to come out of the room. He had stopped her from packing and was now waiting to talk to her about why he couldn't sleep with her.
Buffy didn't seem to realize what she was getting herself into when she invited him into her bed.

On the opposite side of the bedroom door, Buffy sat on the bed mentally preparing herself for Spike's speech about why he couldn't let her leave.
She forced the thoughts and flashbacks out of her mind as she went to the door. she turned the knob and braced herself.
She looked at him as her barradcaded the door eliminating all chance of a quick escape. he didn't want her to leave but he didn't want her. That was why buffy was so confused.
"Now luv, i just want you to listen to what i have to say before you get upset with me for my decisions. i don't want you to feel like you have to offer me the bed because i don't have one, or because i am letting you stay here. Even though i wouldn't think twice about accepting your offer at any other time, right now it just isn't proper. first off, mum and da would have my arse. they really like you. and secondly i couldn't take advantage of you like that."
He looked at her face and when he saw that she no longer looked hurt and scared he motioned for her to come over to him.
She walked over to where he was sitting and he pulled her down into his lap and put his arms around her.
"I love you, ya know?" he wispered into her ear as she threw her arms around him.
"I'm sorry i blew everything up out of proportion like i did. i didn't mean to go over board like that." Buffy said. she realized that she could probably spend the rest of her life with him and for the first time in a long time, she wasn't nervous or scared. she knew he loved her and she knew he was the one for her.
They sat like that at the door for she didn’t know how long. But she felt so good just being in his arms and letting him hug her and nuzzle her ear and neck. She must have fallen asleep because when she woke up they were both in Spike’s bed (on opposite sides of course), fully clothed.
He had brought her in shortly after she passed out in his arms. And fell asleep watching her breathe in and out.
She rolled into his arms and ran her fingers through his hair in attempt to wake him up. It worked.
He opened one eye and then the other slowly in an early morning haze it was Saturday so they had no school and so the real question was, why is she up so early in the morning?
He wrapped his arms around her and breathed in her scent. Smiling lazily he looked at her in all her beauty. No makeup, bed head, with pillow creases on her arm and cheek. She was the most beautiful to him right now.
“Let’s go to the mall.” Buffy said. “we don’t even have to buy anything, but we can just go and look around. Please?”
“Yeah luv, no problem. You want to maybe call Red and have her meet us there? She could walk around with us if you want.” Spike said. Buffy didn’t usually want to go anywhere so he thought maybe when she did, her best friend should be with her.
“okay, I’ll call her.” Buffy said as she got up and went to brush her teeth.

Not to long after breakfast, Buffy and Spike met Willow at the mall. As they were walking through stores, they laughed and joked and buffy finally felt like things were back to normal, like everything was alright, and she was a normal, happy girl again.
They turned the corner and went walked out into the sunshine and to Spike’s and Willow’s cars. willow promised to meet up with them at Spike house after she went to the library. They went their separate ways.
None of the three happy people happened to see who was following the car that held Spike and Buffy.
