Joyce was standing outside the hospital when she saw Hank running to her.
She looked disappointed, he was not the one she wanted to see.
"I she okay ?!" Hank asked her.
"I don't know yet. She has a word tattooed on her arm. The doctors don't know anything." she wants to sound as suprised and afraid as possible.
"Oh god!" he said and he ran inside the hospital, to go check on his daughter.
Joyce stayed outside, she looked down, then looked up when she saw a shadow in front of her feet, a rather old man with a leather jacket and a pair of sunglasses is standing in front of her.
"Ripper." she says.
"I go by Giles now, like you go by Joyce now."
"Fine by me." Joyce said and she and Giles walked away from the hospital.
They are walking along the street, talking about what's happening to Buffy.
"Hank can't know she is not his daughter, she can't know she is not his daughter. I would kill them both."
"Agreed." Giles said. "Have you seen Angelus lately ?"
"No. You know, I always wondered why he was called Angelus, now I know, a few days ago, one night, Buffy came inside the house and told me she had met a man with an angelic face. Then I knew, he was here again. Claiming what is his."
"We'll fight him of, don't worry hon." he said with a kind of a British accent and then gave her a hug.
