When Spike woke, Buffy was sound asleep beneath him. Carefully he tried to get off of her with out waking her. It didn’t work.
Buffy’s eyes fluttered open. “Hey,” she said, softly.
“I didn’t wanna wake you,” he said, a small smile on his face.
“How’s your head?” Buffy asked, pushing herself up.
“Not splitting at the moment,” Spike said, sitting next to her.
Buffy ran her fingers over his cheekbones. “We’ll fix it,” she said.
“How?” He asked.
“I don’t know, but we will. Lets go upstairs,” she said, taking his hand as they went towards the stairs.
Spike followed her drearily and collapsed on the couch just as another attack hit and he screamed in agony.
Buffy frowned and sat next to him. She pulled his head into her lap and stroked his hair.
Dawn came downstairs and she frowned at Spike curled into a little ball screaming. The one who was so strong for her, was so helpless right now.
Buffy did her best to comfort him but the pain wouldn’t stop.
Spike stopped screaming and curled up more.
Dawn came over and crouched next to him. Her hand cautiously reached out and she gently stroked his cheek.
Spike’s eyes opened. “Hey Nibblet,” he said, tiredly.
Buffy carefully slipped out from under him. “I’m gunna see if I can find something to help you,” she said.
Spike nodded and just slouched against the couch.
Dawn stood up and gently lifted Spike’s head. She sat down and placed Spike’s head in her lap. She ran her fingers through his hair as he began to purr.
Buffy smiled a little and went to the kitchen. She picked up the phone and dialed the number. “I need to speak to Agent Riley Finn. Its an emergency.”
