BATHE, ENGLAND - 2022
Everyone except Willow is gathered at the house. In Xander's words, 'She has turned in her Scooby Badge.' A very pregnant Buffy is sitting on the couch, her bare feet propped up on a coffee table. Giles is sitting in his favorite chair, while Dawn conducts the meeting. He was so proud of her, the youngest Head of the Council in history, and she stills has time to be a wonderful mother to Joyce.
DAWN-
"According to the readout, Maple's Spaceliner should be at Heathrow Space Port in under an hour. Question is what do we do?"
BUFFY-
"What do we know about Maple since she's been gone."
DAWN-
"Numerous sightings over the years. The Demon Underworld calls her 'The Phantom', coming out of nowhere, destroying a nest, and then vanishing. She has used her magics to destory almost 200 demons and vampires."
GIA-
"Is she dangerous? Has she killed humans?" Dawn hestates for a moment. She looks at Giles, who nods.
DAWN-
"There is one rumor...from Hong Kong. She destroyed a vampire nest with a fireball. The building burned down....and a report said that the vamps had four human hostages inside." Gia shuts her eyes and rests her head in her hands. "But, it's just a rumor."
XANDER-
"So, she could be dangerey. What do we do?"
BUFFY-
"We need help. Does Willow know?"
GIA-
"I told you...she just stared at her computer screen and said 'fine'."
BUFFY-
"That's Willow for you."
GILES-
"Buffy...."
BUFFY-
"Not now Giles!"
DAWN-
"I don't think Willow will help. I'll send someone to meet her at the airport."
BUFFY-
"Who?"
HEATHROW SPACE PORT
Maple looks out of the window as the spaceliner landed. A simply thirty minute trip into low Earth orbit and then back down. The plane landed, and she and the other passengers got off. She looked around, hoping to catch a ride to Bathe. Suddenly, a voice sounds behind her.
VOICE-
"So, this is 'The Phantom'?" Maple clutches the stake in her inner pocket and turns around. It was Faith Lehane.
MAPLE-
"I thought you were still in Cleveland."
FAITH-
"Could a job at the school, subing for Buffy. So, need a ride?"
