The next night, December 23 to be exact, the Scoobies met in the library for their nightly meeting. And to everyone's surprise Wesely was late so they chatted amongst themselves while they waited.
"And then she said: You'd be surprised what you can live through." Willow told Oz excitedly.
"Harsh," he replied.
"I know, but I like her. I know I don't know much about her but she seems nice if you don't step on any toes. Like Faith!"
"And she's hot," said Xander happily.
"Before you get your hopes up I should warn you, Robby isn't really into dating," said Faith.
"How so?"
"Would you have time to date if you were fighting vampire armies?"
"Point taken."
"How is she in the field Faith?" asked Giles.
"She's as good as they come. Robby can take down a fourty vamp ambush by herself. I've seen it. And then she patroled for another six hours."
"Do you think she's let me train her? Just so I can see what she's capable of."
Faith shook her head, "I doubt it. Training isn't the way to see what she can do. You wanna see her throw the punches you have to go out with her on patrol."
Wesely came running into the library, "You'll never believe who came to my home last night!"
"A girl dressed in leather named Robby?" asked Oz.
"Yes...how did you know."
"Did she threaten you?" asked Faith.
"Yes and the entire Watcher's Council."
"That's my girl!"
"You know her?"
"We told her how to find you," said Giles.
"Why?"
"Because she was looking for a way to get her message to the council and she's Faith's friend," Angel told him, "we can trust her."
"You're sure about that?"
Everyone but Buffy said yes, she just sat their.
"Buff, you alright?" asked Xander.
"Yeah, fine."
"You didn't like her?" asked Willow.
"I just think you all are being a bit quick to trust her."
"B chill out! I've known her since I was six months old, trust me she's on the good guy list."
"People change Faith."
"You're smart to be cautious Buffy," said Robby as she walked in.
"Robby, nice to see you again," said Willow, "this is my boyfriend Oz."
Oz stood up and shook her hand, "Wow, good shake."
"Thanks. Oh and dont' worry I'm strictly an vampire slayer, that is evil vampires. I've got nothing against werewolves."
"That's good to know."
Robby smiled and turned to the rest of the gang, "Well it was nice meeting you all. Hope to see you before the after life."
"You're leaving?" asked Faith.
"You all seem to have the Hellmouth covered. I'd be like a..." she counted how many people were in the room, "an nineth wheel."
There was a chorus of objections.
"But you just got here!"
"A nineth wheel isn't a bad thing!"
"You're a slayer! The hellmouth should be like home!"
"Faith told us you can take out fourty vamps alone! We need you!"
That last one stood out and Robby looked from Xander who had said it to Faith, "You told them about that?"
"Hey it's true!"
"I got lucky that night!"
Faith raised her eyebrow.
"That week. Okay okay that month. But you didn't have to tell them. It makes me sound..."
"Better then other people that kill vampires?" asked Buffy.
"Exactly."
"Well if you can do that then you are. And the hand held machine guns don't hurt."
"It's not nice to follow people on patrol Buffy."
"You knew I was there?"
"Duh."
"Well I saw you take out that vampire gang, you were pretty good. And you're my age..."
"I've also been fighting them since I was thirteen."
"Thirteen?"
"Yeah, it would have been younger but I didn't find the spell to get my powers back until then."
"Bummer?"
"This is so great!" said Willow, "we can show you around town and you can be a Scooby and you can go to school with us!"
"A Scooby?"
"Oh that's what we call our group."
"Interesting, but I can't go to school with you guys."
"Oh did you drop out? No offense Faith."
"No I already graduated. I started school a year early. It got me away from home."
"What was...?" Willow elbowed Xander in the gut, "Nothing forget it."
"I'm going patroling," said Robby.
"Do you want me to come with?" asked Faith.
"No you can go party at the Copper or what ever that club is called."
"The Bronze. And I don't have to."
This shocked everyone. Faith turning down an offer to party?
"You know you want to! Go!" urged Robby.
"Thank you!"
Robby walked out and before Faith left for the Bronze she asked, "So now what do you think of her B?"
"She's good."
"Good?"
"Good."
Faith nodded, "Good."
