BATHE, ENGLAND - 2017
Far away from the construction crew that was re-building the house, the Scoobies, new and old, gather at Kennedy's resting place. Each one place an item on the tombstone. Giles brought out a folding chair for Willow, who barely made it through the service. Buffy gave an eulogy, but her words didn't help the pain that her best friend was feeling. Spike and Buffy had fought early about Willow's reaction. He was worried that Willow would go evil again, but she didn't.
Not everyone was there, Maple had left a note at Clem's house and left. Buffy, Dawn, and Giles searched the town for her, but she wasn't there. Willow and Gia tried a locator spell, but Maple was an expert in shielding spells.
They did win the battle, but with the loss of Kennedy and now Maple running away, Buffy couldn't celebrate. She just sat on the couch, holding Kendra in her arms. She began to cry for Willow....she had lost so much.
KENDRA-
"Will Willow be okay?"
BUFFY-
"I hope so. She's stronger than what she looks."
KENDRA-
"Maple...will she come back."
BUFFY-
"One day, she will. I just know it."
