The girl stopped with her back turned to the gang.
"Robby?" asked Faith again. Everyone looked from "Robby" to Faith. None of them had ever seen her like this. She looked hopeful and afraid and...well...happy. Truely happy.
"Faith?" Robby turned around and looked at her.
"Yeah..."
They just looked at each other for a few seconds, but they were the longest seconds the two girls had ever expierenced. Tears filled their eyes and their faces softened as they remembered one and other. Then Faith ran to the door and they clung to each other like their lives depended on it.
Everyone just stared. To them, well except Angel, Faith was this hollow person that was incapable of feeling anything other then the rush of battle and horny. To see this display of emotion was a shock.
"Umm...do they know each other?" whispered Xander.
"No I'm hugging her because she's a total stranger," yelled Faith.
"How...she...you heard me?"
"I'm not deaf Harris," she said pulling away from her friend.
"Faith," said Angel gently, "who's your friend?"
"Oh right you guys don't know her, big loss there. Everyone this is my best friend Robby. Robs, the loud mouth is Xander Harris, the Brit is Giles but you already knew that?"
Robby nodded, "And the blonde is the slayer Buffy Summers?"
"Still doing your homework. The one thing I never liked about you. Any way, the red head is Willow, and tall dark and hot is Angel."
"Short for Angeleus," Robby said simply, "he's a vampire, 243 if I did the math right. Sired by Darla in the mid 1700s, exact date unknown. Sired Drusilla, again the date isn't know, but was cursed with a soul in 1900 by gypsies becuase he ate their favorite daughter."
"How did you know that?" asked Buffy.
"Isn't it obvious?"
"Robby, maybe I should take you to see Wes," said Faith.
"No Faith stay," said Giles, "I'd like to know more about your friend."
"And how she knows the complete life story of my boyfriend," added Buffy.
They all sat down at the table, except for Robby who stood behind Faith.
"You can sit down," said Willow politely.
"No thanks," replied Robby smiling, "I can't sit in this outfit."
"Then why wear it?"
"Works with the job."
"What job?"
"I'm a..."
"While this whole thing about your wardrobe is facinating, how did you know all that stuff about Angel?" asked Buffy impaitiently.
"He was the worst vampire in recorded history, no offense meant," surprisingly that wasn't sarcasm, "it isn't that hard to get information on him. You just have to know where to look."
"How did you know who he was in the first place?"
"There's only one vampire in existance that has a soul, well of that perticular type of vampire any way, not that hard to spot. And before you ask how I knew he was a vampire it was my slayer sense."
"Slayer sense?" asked Giles, "You're a slayer?"
"No."
"Then why do you have slayer senses?"
"Because Faith does."
"That made no sense," said Xander very confused.
"Do you wanna tell 'em or should I?" asked Faith.
"Depends on who they're more likelly to believe."
"Just talk already!" said Buffy.
"In translation from Buffy talk that means we'll believe either of you," Willow gave Buffy a watch it look.
"Alright," said Robby calmly, "we're blood sisters."
"Huh?" asked Xander.
"Like blood brothers only we're girls."
"Ohhh. Is that what the scar on your hand is from Faith?"
Faith nodded and held up her right hand. All across the middle of the palm there was a white line. Robby removed the leather glove from her hand and showed she had a scar in the same place.
"Why would a blood bond give her Faith's powers?" asked Willow.
"Well, blood bonds aren't that common between anyone now a days," explained Giles, "we know it can transmit diseases. But it has been proven that two supernatural beings that share a blood bond also share their abilities, or a less advanced version of them. I'm guessing you have some kind of power yourself?"
"Robby nodded, "I'm half Elemental."
Willow, Buffy and Xander looked at her not having a clue what she meant, Giles looked both shocked and facinated and a slightly perplexed look went over Angel's face. Then Buffy noticed that he's been staring at her this whole time not saying anything. Normally Angel not saying anything wasn't wierd, but when he stares at another girl that's a different story.
"An Elemental? Weren't they wiped out over a thousand years ago?" asked Giles in wonder.
"Yes," said Robby sadly, "all but one. After the main temple was attacked, my people scattered in hopes they could escape. A women was able to hide herself from the Knights of the Holy Order and she lived as a human until she died. She had a child who put a spell on themself to hide their powers and they have been past down through generations in a dormant form until they came to me. I reactivated them."
"What's an Elemental?" asked Xander.
"An ancient race that was killed off centuries ago," said Angel speaking for the first time, "there were five clans, each with the ability to control one element. Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Darkness. They were killed after being accused of un-holy magic."
"Seems like you know as much about my ancestors as I do about you," Robby comented lightly.
"You just have to know where to look."
Buffy shifted in her chair. Was Angel flirting with this girl? No, he can't be. That was such and obvious comeback. Still, she decided to keep an eye on this new comer.
"What elemant do you have control over?" asked Giles.
Robby lifted her right hand again and it caught blue fire, "Water and Fire. What my people didn't realize was they weren't limited to one element. The combonation though difficult to create is much more powerful. I was originally a Water Bearer, but that doesn't do anything for you when you have half the vampires on the planet wanting you dead. I found a way to harness Fire, gaining the powers of a Fire Starter. Them I combined them. It creates something ten times more powerful then a nuclear warhead."
"So bacically you're a power hungry freak that has a lot of ememies in the undead veriety," said Buffy.
"Buffy!" Giles said sternly.
"No," said Robby ignoring Giles, "I single handedly fight the armies of the vampire clans of Carenyare. I'm not power hungry, I just get as much of it as I can so I don't die."
"Vampire clans of Carenwho-ha?" asked Willow.
"Car-in-yar," sounded out Faith, "it's a vampire army. They don't get bumpy forheads and they like guns. From what we can figure out they are what you get when two vampires have children."
A.N./I'm not saying that's what Connor is. Connor isn't going to happen because Angel isn't leaving so Darla isn't going to get resureccted. I know it's a bit confusing but just go with.
"Why are they after you?" asked Angel.
"Because I'm the only person in the world that has ever tried to stop them."
"One of the two!" said Faith playfully puching her friend.
"One of the two," corrected Robby, "now if you'll excuse me I have to find a certain watcher."
"Why are you looking for Wesely?" asked Faith as everyone stood.
"Because I have the Watcher's Council on my tail. I need to send them a message."
"Please tell me it's Wes' head on a silver plater!"
"Sorry, but it's just a warning. They keep showing up in whenever I'm in the middle of a fight. They want to know why there is another unregistared Slayer. They keep dusting all the vamps before I can get any information out of them. I'm going to get Pryce to tell them if they keep following me, I'll pay them a little visit."
"I take it that that is code for you'll kill them," said Giles, "Slayers that kill humans don't often..."
"I never said anything about killing. You'd be surprised what you can live through though. Bye."
Robby left the library with three horrified teenagers, one ex-watcher that seemed like he was ready to burst from the flood of information he'd just gotten, one very happy teenager and a vampire with an unreadable look on his face.
"Aren't you going with her?" asked Willow after a few silent minutes.
"Nah, she'll be back."
Angel walked up beside Faith who was beaming.
"So what do you think of her Angel?"
"Young."
"Well she's my age so compared to you she's a toddler, but really."
"Young, but she seems older. Older then she should be."
Faith nodded in understanding, "She grew up way to fast. We both did."
"What happened?"
"I'll let her tell you that."
