He didn't know why he let Spike work for him. He should have kicked him out of Wolfram & Hart a long while ago. He hadn't though and Spike was being a pain in his butt right at that moment and giving him the mother of all headaches.

"Spike, please shut up! We're not going through this again! You're staying here, and as much as I hate to say it we need you right now!" Angel shouted at Spike in his office.

"Well, I don't need you so I'm asking for a few bucks to get me a ride out of 'ere!" Spike shouted back.

"Get out right now! You're getting no money and you're not leaving!" Angel yelled. Fred, Wesley, and Gunn came running in to see what was going on.

"Is everything alright, Angel?" Wesley asked concerned as he looked from Angel to Spike.

"Everything's fine. Spike was about to leave my office but now that you three are here, we mind as well have that meeting early. Everybody sit down." Angel said as he rubbed his temples, which of course drew attention from Fred.

"You ok, Angel?" Fred asked concerned as she always was.

"Yeah, just a little tired and have a headache, which I'm thanking Spike for." Angel said glaring at Spike, who put his 'What did I do? I'm innocent.' look on.

"You sure, boss, you really don't look so hot." Gunn said as he looked at Angel.

"Yes, but if it'll make you guys happier, I'll go rest." Angel said reluctantly although he really wanted to rest.

"Thank you. We'll make sure everything stays quiet for you. Just feel better." Wesley said as Angel walked over to the elevator that went up to his penthouse.

"Well, now that Peaches is gone I can get out of here without him trying to stop me." Spike said starting to walk towards the office doors.

"Not so fast, Spike. We need someone to watch over the office and make sure everything stays quiet down here and no one goes up; since I have my stuff, Fred has her lab, and Charles has a bit of lawerying stuff, we need you to stay here." Wesley said as he grabbed onto Spike's arm.

"What about Lorne? Where is he by the way?" Spike asked as he looked around outside the office doors.

"Vacation. Angel felt he needed some time off." Wesley said easing up on Spike's arm when he realized Spike wasn't going anywhere.

"Fine, I'll do it, but if you guys are putting me up to something, I bloody swear." Spike glared at the three. Fred, Wesley, and Gunn all had a hard time trying on to laugh at what he had just said, basically the way he said it.

After they left, Spike decided to do something that he knew he was going to get his butt kicked for, he was going to ride the elevator up to Angel's penthouse and bug the living or non-living daylights out if him.

"Spike, go away. I don't want to do this right now." Angel said tiredly and angrily.

"What would be the fun in that?" Spike asked grinning as he punched Angel's arm slightly, but the moment his hand touched the thin clothe of Angel's shirt he felt heat generating from it.

"Angel, you have a fever. I'll go call Fred and I don't know you lay down or something." Spike said as his mind went through all the reasons Angel would be sick like this. Spike really didn't like Angel but with him being his grandsire and all he felt a little concern for him.

"Fred." Came Fred's cheery voice from the phone.

"Fred, you need to get down to Angel's penthouse immediately." Spike said hoping Fred wouldn't detect the worried tone in his voice.

"What's wrong, Spike?" Fred asked and Spike could almost see her concerned look.

"Angel's sick. I came up here to bug him, and before you yell at me I know I shouldn't have, but it was a good thing I did, because when I lightly punched him he felt warm. Think the great poofter's running a fever." Spike said rather fast that Fred had to listen carefully to make sure she heard everything. She knew he was worried but didn't say anything.

"I'll be right up. Make sure he's lying down." Fred said before hanging up.

"I can't be sick, Spike. Vampires don't get sick." Angel said as he sat up slightly in his bed while Spike wandered over to the window.

"Preaching to the choir. If you hadn't noticed, I'm undead as well." Spike said and then they sat/stood there in silence.

"Ok, I'm here. Angel, what's going on?" Fred asked as she came over to him.

"No clue, one minute I feel fine, next I'm tired, have a headache, and I can't stay normal, one second I'm hot, next I'm cold." Angel said grimacing as the pounding in his head continued.

"You are definitely sick. I just don't know how. I'll have to run some test to figure it out." Fred said.

"Do whatever you have to, to get me better." Angel said and then Fred took some blood and what not and then left. She had told Spike to stay there. He would have protested but she had her resolved face on and he knew it would be no use trying to argue. Spike fell asleep in the chair that was about five feet away from the bed. He didn't wake up until he heard somebody coughing.

"I know we're not the best of friends, but if you could possibly get yourself to get me a glass of water?" Angel asked a little sarcastically. He was surprised though when Spike got it without arguing and was even more surprised when Spike asked, "Shall I get Fred up here?"

"I'll be fine. What are you doing here anyways? I know you hate me so what's up?" Angel asked curiously.

"Fred asked me to stay up here." Spike said like it was nothing.

"I see. You can go back down. I should be fine." Angel said honestly.

"Alright. Call, Fred that is, if you need anything." Spike said and then walked out leaving a baffled and coughing Angel to sit in his bed.

"What are you doing down here?" Gunn asked when Spike came out of Angel's office.

"Peaches said he didn't need me up there so I came down here," Spike said and then all of a sudden he heard a cough and a thud, like someone had hit the ground hard. When he turned to see who it was, he saw Harmony lying on the floor in front of her desk. On instinct he ran over to her to see if she was alright.

"She's running a fever. This is bloody great." Spike said when Gunn came over with Fred.

"First Angel and now Harmony, I think something's going on. Vampires don't just get sick." Wesley said once he, Spike, Fred, and Gunn were in his office, which had papers and books everywhere you looked.

"Really, Sherlock? I never would have guessed." Spike said sarcastically suddenly feeling a headache coming on. He knew he should at least tell Fred, but before he ended up lying in a bed helplessly he wanted to try to figure out what was going on.

"Will you quit it with the remarks, Spike? They are really starting to ware." Gunn said.

"I would, but can't. 'Fraid it's my curse. Think your lovely Angel did it to me." Spike said even more sarcastically.

"Spike, is it a fight you want, because if it is I'll give you one." Gunn said angrily.

"No fight, just like getting under your skin. Real fun." Spike said, really not in the mood for a physical fight, since the headache he had felt coming on finally came.
