BATHE, ENGLAND - 2017
Everyone is in the library, some researching, some getting ready for the most important fights of their lives. Sure, they have found to protect the world...but this was different. Nothing has been so personal before.
DAWN-
"Giles, why didn't the spelll effect Maple?" Giles takes off his glasses and looks over at Willow for an answer, but that was no use. Willow, Kennedy, and Maple were in the dinning room hug, and perhaps finally becoming part of a family.
GILES-
"I'm not sure exactly, but I think the spell was designed to be centered around the house. Since, Maple went looking for Kennedy....the spell didn't effect her."
BUFFY-
"Giles, who did this?"
GILES-
"Well, a number of demons could have...(he caughts a glare from Buffy)....I suppose you want the short version. I don't know, could be anyone or anything."
SPIKE-
"More than likely, it's someone we've pissed off over the years." He goes up to Buffy, and hugs her. The vampire is feeling the same thing that his slayer wife is feeling....where are they and how do I kill them.
Leaning on the door jam was Xander, who was staring at the floor. 'No...this can't be happening...no not again.' Xander slips unnoticed out of the room and goes up to his bedroom. He grabs a beer from the mini-frig and gulps it down. After finishing off the beer, he looks into the mirror. He sees himself as a lot of people see him...broken. He begins to tear up and he throws the bottle at the mirror, shattering it into a million pieces. He then stumbles into the bathroom. He looks at the mirror over the sink, and he turns the hot water on. His right hand grabs a razor.
Inside a large caven chamber, Kendra, Joyce, Gia, and Alex are standing in a pentagram. They are still in a trance. The demon looks at the fifth point of the pentagram, which is empty. He slowly turns towards his minion, who is trying to hide behind some rocks.
DEMON-
"Where is the other one?"
MINION-
"I don't know, Master...maybe she wasn't in the house. Please, please...have mercy."
DEMON-
"Mercy? You fail me, and you beg for mercy? You worm. Take the Furyal Demons and kill everyone in that house, and capture the other child. Bring the child here."
MINION-
"And the others?"
DEMON-
"Bring me their heads on pikes."
