BATHE - ENGLAND - 2017
Kendra, Joyce, and Gia set the large table. Maple is up in her room listening to music in her room. Buffy and Willow are in the kitchen making dinner.
BUFFY-
"So...how are things?"
WILLOW-
"They're....alright, I guess. Gia was set me up to be a guest lecturer for her teacher."
BUFFY-
"Again? I think you spend more time at the kid's school than the University. (turning serious) And Kennedy and Maple."
WILLOW-
"Still no good. I don't think Maple will ever accept Kennedy. I mean everyone, including Maple, excepts the fact that you and Spike got married. Speaking of which, where is your undead hubby."
BUFFY-
"He's still in the room, he doesn't like to 'eat' if front of the children."
WILLOW-
"Buffy...they're not children anymore."
BUFFY-
"What? What have you heard or seen, It's Keney and Simon isn't?"
WILLOW-
"Oh, no....no nothing like that...I hope. Besides she's got a lot more sense that Maple." Willow cringes at the memory of walking in on her 14 year daughter losing her virginty. "That was a bad night."
BUFFY-
"Yeah, that was."
WILLOW-
"What I was trying to say was that, in a few years, all of them will be leaving."
BUFFY-
"I know..." Gia walks in.
GIA-
"Mum, Aunt Buffy, the tables ready."
WILLOW-
"Thank you sweety."
The front door opens, and Xander and Alex walk in. Alex hugs his 'sisters', and Xander walks into the kitchen. Willow smiles at him as Buffy glares.
WILLOW-
"I...I'll go and start the food on the table."
Buffy and Xander look at each other. Xander is wearing very worn clothes, and Buffy can hardly see his face due to the eye patch and full beard.
BUFFY-
"You look like shit."
XANDER-
"Please, don't start."
BUFFY-
"Xander, I care about you, lots. But it's time to move on. We all miss her, but she's gone."
XANDER-
"Buffy, I'm trying."
BUFFY-
"I know...I know." She hugs him. "Ouch! Please, shave at least."
XANDER-
"What, you don't think it makes me look manly?" Buffy pops him with a towel.
BUFFY-
"Just get ready for dinner."
The front door opens again, and Dawn and Giles walk through. Maple comes downstairs. Joyce walks up to her mother.
JOYCE-
"Hi, mum."
DAWN-
"Hi, baby. How was school today."
JOYCE-
"Fine. GRANDPA!" The others rush up to Giles.
GILES-
"Oh, yes. Hello everyone. Here." He hands all his 'grandchildren' 30 Pounds. Buffy, Willow, Dawn, and Xander glare at Giles. He just smiles at them.
Outside, Kennedy is watching Willow and Maple through the window. A small tear rolls down her cheek. While everyone was setting up for dinner, Kennedy double backed and sneaked back into their bedroom through the window. She packed, and left a note. She puts her finger to her lips and kisses Willow goodbye.
