Clara begins to wake up, and she looks around. She's in a nice room, lying in a nice bed. She looks around and sees her clothes, cleaned and folded on the table near the window. She gets out of bed, and looks out the window. This is not Mississippi. She hears a knock on the bedroom, and quickly puts on a robe.
CLARA-
"Come in." A young blonde woman enters the room. She introduces herself as Buffy Summers.
BUFFY-
"I know this is something of a shock to you. According to the Slayers that found you, you mentioned 143 years and Time's Arrow. I have the gang working on the Time's Arrow thing, but what did you mean by 143 years. What year is it for you?"
CLARA-
"Year? Why, the year is 1863 of course. Have the armies made it here yet?"
BUFFY-
"Armies."
CLARA-
"The Union and Confederates."
BUFFY-
"Oh...those armies. While that fine mess ended in 1865. The North won."
CLARA-
"Never matter to me who won, I just wanted it to stop."
BUFFY-
"I get that."
CLARA-
"You are the Slayer for this generation."
BUFFY-
"Was the Slayer. There are currently 84 Slayers active right now. I guess we should make that 85."
CLARA-
"How...how is this possible."
BUFFY-
"We fought The First, and we use the Sai of the Slayers to do it. It called all the potential Slayers at once, and we find new ones all the time."
CLARA (huge smile)-
"So...I'm not the only one anymore."
BUFFY (smiling back)-
"Nope. Later today, the Head of the Watcher's Council, Rupert Giles, would want to talk with you."
CLARA-
"So, where are we...how long was I asleep."
BUFFY-
"About six hours and we're in England."
CLARA-
"England in six hours. It takes four months to travel the Atlantic."
BUFFY-
"You got some surprises coming to you."
