Fred was staring at the radio, thinking. Cordy was poking a piece of fluff
with a pen.
The clock struck 9. Gunn and Wes had been out searching again. It's had been
the same every night. It had been 2 weeks since Heather, Illyria and Connor
had been kidnapped.
Lorne walked out of the office and sat down in the cozy armchair, Rhiannon
in his arms. His listened as the song on the radio changed. It was Gabrielle,
Dreams. Lorne hummed along.
"Dreams can come true.
Look at me babe I'm with you.
You know you gotta have hope.
You know you've got to be strong.
Dreams can come true.
Look at me babe I'm with you.
You know you gotta have hope.
You know you've got to be strong"
Suddenly the doors slammed open. Two people stood at the door. The bigger one held two bundles in his arms and the other a female body.
“Spike?” Cordelia questioned “Heather!!!” She ran and to take her other twin out of Spikes arms.
Angel ran over to Connor.
“Connor! You’re ok! Who took you? Tell me” Angel took the limp body out of Connor’s arms and into his own. Then he sat Connor down and turned so the light from the lamp shone on the girls face
“Dawn? Dawn?” Angel shook her “Buffy” he looked at Spike, who was staring out the door. Buffy stepped into the shyly. Connor took Dawn of his Dad and laid her on the sofa. As Angel ran over to Buffy, Spike walked over to Fred who was sat on a chair shocked.
“I believe this is yours, Fred” Spike said turning the opposite way as he passed Illyria.
“H-h-her name is Illyria” Fred whispered.
“Right” Said Spike slightly jealously. They stood in uneasy silence for a few seconds.
“So…who’s the father?”
Fred looked down at the baby laying in her arms then back at Spike. She gently placed her index finger on Illyria’s left eyebrow. Spike noticed that she had a small scar running through it. Fred moved and placed her finger on Spikes scar. He stared at her speechless.
