BATHE, ENGLAND - 2017
Buffy finishes her email off her net-visor. She reaches up to the right side of the glasses and clicks the device off. She takes off her glasses in time to see the kids arrive back from school. Due to being raised in England, all the kids have English accents.
KENDRA-
"Hi, mum, how are you doing?" Kendra hugs her mother.
BUFFY-
"I'm fine...okay, mother hugging, what did you do?"
KENDRA-
"Nothing."
JOYCE-
"See got caught passing a note to Simon."
KENDRA-
"Joyce!"
BUFFY-
"Kenie, I thought you two broke up. I clearly remember the crying and the slamming of doors."
KENDRA-
"We did, but we got back together."
The two girls ran up to their rooms to put their books up and change out of their school uniforms, leaving Buffy alone again.
BUFFY-
"I remember those days."
In Xander's section of the huge estate, Alex comes home. He goes to the same school as all the other next generation Scoobies.
ALEX-
"Dad, are you home?"
Xander is lying on the couch with several empty beer bottles next to him. Alex looks at his father sadly. Xander had been the best father anyone could have, but he drank alot. It all started during the last battle of Sunnydale. His parents had given him to Clem to be watched out for. In fact, 'Uncle Clem' had taken all the kids, while their parents fought The First. They won, but both Xander and Alex lost the one person closest to them, Anya Harris, his mother. He walks over and shakes Xander.
ALEX-
"Dad, wake up."
XANDER-
"Alex, what are...school's out already."
ALEX-
"Yeah....c'mon, I'll take you upstairs." Alex helps his father up and takes him into the bedroom and lays him on the bed.
Gia and Maple Rosenberg come home and hug Willow right off the bat.
WILLOW-
"Hi, Gia, sweetie, how was school."
GIA-
"Oh...it was great. We made models of nano-sized medical robots. See!"
WILLOW-
"Cool!"
GIA-
"Oh, and my teacher what's to know..."
WILLOW-
"Not another guest lecture...I have my own class load."
GIA-
"Sorry...it's just not every year that one of her students is the daughter of the famous Professor Willow Rosenberg. So, is it green."
WILLOW-
"It's cool...I mean green."
GIA-
"Super green, thanks mum. Oh, hi Kennedy."
KENNEDY-
"Hey, super-genius, what's up."
GIA-
"Study, study."
Willow turns to the very goth looking Maple.
WILLOW-
"Hey, sweetie. How was school?"
MAPLE-
"It sucks, mum."
KENNEDY-
"Hi, Maple."
Maple just glares at Kennedy and walks off. Kennedy sighs and bows her head. Willow walks up to her second wife.
WILLOW-
"You okay."
KENNEDY-
"She's never gonna to accept me, is she. I mean I have her, staring at Tara's picture."
WILLOW-
"Tara is...was, sorry...her mother. And after Warren killed her right in front of Maple. That sort of thing leaves an impression."
At the headquarters of the New Watcher's Council, a delivery man carries a box into the large meeting room.
DELIVERY MAN-
"Excuse me, Dr. Summers?"
DAWN-
"Yes."
DELIVERY MAN-
"This is for you. Please sign here. Thank you."
Dawn doesn't open the package. After The First blew up the First Council, all incoming packages were examined. Dawn phones the 'Packaging Department', a group of friendly demons that can see through objects. After her phone call, Giles came in her office.
GILES-
"Hello, Dawn." Giles is an old man now, hair totally white, and he walks with a cain. "Is that the new package of artifacts from Botswana."
DAWN-
"Yeah, just called the Packaging Department. Damn! I'll late, I was suppose to be home early. Family dinner night."
GILES-
(looks at the clock on the wall) "Dear Lord, we're right. The Packaging Department can handle this and they will either leave the package if it's safe or depose of it if it's not."
DAWN-
"You're right."
As they leave, a computerize voice tells them goodnight.
COMPUTER-
"Goodnight, Dr. Giles. Goodnight, Dr. Summers."
