Angel led the girl to the deck and unlocked the back door.
"Don't be afraid. Go in." The girl looked at him, unsure, and took a step in. "Good." The vampire was about to follow himself, until a shaking of the bushes to the left brought him back outside. "Stay in there." He told the girl, vamping out again and closing the door.
The rustling grew louder, and Angel could tell someone was there. The heartbeat was fast and angry.
'So it's not a vampire...Then what the hell is it?' "Buffy?"
A figure jumped out at him and brought him to the ground. "Where is she?!" It snarled, throwing numerous punches. Angel growled and threw him off. The figure hit wall beside the door. He picked up a loose brick and hurled it at the vampire for all he was worth, nailing Angel in the forehead.
Buffy and Willow came jogging from the cemetery, and one look at Angel got the slayer furious. She lunged at Angel's attacker and rammed him up again the window, frightening the girl inside. Buffy took precautions, making sure not to push him through the window, but made sure he got hurt. The girl threw the door open and got Buffy away from the boy, who was on the ground.
"Oh God!" She proclaimed.Buffy stumbled backwards into a standing Angel and got ready to attack again.
"What the hell? Rose?"
"Are you okay Jack?"
"I'm great," he replied, getting up with Rose's help. "Where are we?"
"I don't know." The couple noticed the three strangers, the two who Jack had been fighting with, and another redhead who was jumping up and down.
"You okay Will?" Buffy asked, eyeing her friend.
"Oh-my-God! Oh-my-God! Oh-my-God!!! Buffy, it's Leonardo DiCaprio!!!"
"Who's he?" Angel asked.
"You know that cute blonde in 'Titanic'? Jack?"
"Oh. Him."
"That's the name, don't wear it out."
"Oh my-Can I have your autograph? Please???" Willow pulled a pad of stationary paper from the pocket of her overalls and a pen, handing them to Jack.
Jack looked to Rose and vise-versa, then took it, scribbled his signature and gave the paper back.
Willow looked at Buffy happily while accepting it and turned her giddy appearence to the pad.
"Oh-my...hey wait! This isn't your signature!" Willow looked at Jack and for the first time, noticed his grey shirt, beige pants and suspenders under his black cotten jacket. Then she burst into a short laugh. "Oh, ha-ha, I get it!" When she noticed no one else was smiling, she stopped. "Okay,I don't get it. Why does this say 'J. Dawson'?"
"'Cause that's my name. Problem with it, Miss?"
"No it's just-" Willow looked up with an astonished look.
"What's wrong, Willow?" Angel asked. "Y-you're...This can't be right! You aren't real! You *can't* be real! Or...unless James Cameron has started dabbling in black magic..."
"Who?" Jack and Rose asked.
"B-Buffy,what do we do?"
"Let's see the paper, Will?" Willow handed her the pad and the slayer looked it over. "Either Leo was under too much stress filming 'Titanic', or..."
"Or what?" Rose asked.
"Or this is a job for Giles the Occult Book Man." The redhead giggled at the watcher's new name, but the other four looked at her, worried.
"What? I had a Coke, you happy?"
"What do we do with them?" Angel asked, gesturing to Rose and Jack.
"Bring 'em along." Buffy turned to them. "Can you guys.come with us? There's someone here who can tell us all what you guys are doing here. Okay?"
Rose nodded. Jack just shrugged and grabbed a cigarette from his pocket, lighting it with an out-dated lighter.
"It's settled. To the library we go." Buffy and Angel walked off together, followed by Jack and Rose, and Willow brought up the rear, looking straight ahead at Jack.
"Wow! The real Jack Dawson! Wait till my friends in the occult chat hear about this!"
* * *
The library was unusally quite. Rupert Giles was idley gazing over several books he had spread over his desk in the office, sipping a cup of tea and cleaning his glasses with a towel.
"Is it only ten o'clock?" He asked himself, looking to the clock. "I guess since not an awful lot of vampiric activity occurs during the holidays..." His thoughts were interupted by the door opening and the shrill voice of his slayer calling his name.
"Giles? Are you asleep again?" The librarian emerged from the office and saw Buffy, Willow, Angel and two other people in queer clothing who he didn't know.
"Yes, Buffy?"
"I don't know how to say this...Um...we found these two out by the mansion." Buffy said, pointing to the shocked couple gazing around the library.
"Wow." Jack said breathlessly, looking at the technology. "What's that?" He pointed to the check-out.computer.
"It's called a.computer! I have mine here, I'll show you about it." Willow perked up at the concept of showing someone new about the Internet.
Jack looked at Rose, who said, "If you'd be gracious enough to show us this...new...world."
Willow smiled at the two and lead them to the table, grabbing her laptop and opening it. She started it up and guided them through the set-up progress.
"Rather queer couple. Do you know who they are?"
"Yeah, that's Jack Dawson and his girlfriend, Rose." Buffy replied. "They were just wondering around. We don't know anything about them, only they have a remarkable likeness to Jack and Rose from 'Titanic'."
"-See,and now the 'search engine' will look up information on the topic we typed in!" Willow pointed to the screen as the time travelers looked on in amazement.
"This is remarkable. Yesterday we were using steam trains and Model T's. Now we are using...Whatever this happens to be and women are allowed to wear trousers..." Rose said. "What year is this?"
"1999." Angel told them. Their heads snapped up, their eyes wide.
"What!?"
