Buffy and Spike walk along a sidewalk in LA to Buffy's hotel. They don't speak to each other. Both of them have so many things to say, but they don't know how. They pass a small coffee shop. "Spike, can we stop here for a sec."
"Sure," he opens the door for Buffy and they walk in. They sit in the farthest booth from the door. Instead of sitting across from each other, they sat on the same side. Suddenly, Buffy leans her head on Spike's shoulder.
"I've missed you, William."
"God, I've missed you, too. I just couldn't get the stones to call you and tell you what happened."
"What did happen? I mean, how are you....back?"
"Tell you the truth...I have no idea. Angel had a team of investigators looking into that, you know before we fought Wolfman and Hart."
"Giles took the news about Wesley pretty hard. I can't even begin to tell you what he's going to do when he hears about Willow."
"Yeah...I me and 'Broodinator' are going to be dust."
"No....but we have to find Willow."
They get up from the booth and walk out of the coffee shop. They walk, in silence again, until they reached the hotel. Buffy reaches up and kisses Spike. They didn't know it, but they were being watched. From a dark alley across the street, Angel stared and tightened his fist. On a nearby rooftop, Willow looked down at them, and smiled.
