Clara watched from behind the gravestone as the Union troops came over the ridge. Her watcher had instructed her to avoid being seen by the soldiers. The six troops came into the Moon light, and she saw that all six of them were vampires. Suddenly, movement caught her eye. Eight Confederate soldiers were entering the graveyard at the other end. 'Strange, surely the rebs can see the Yankees, but their rifles are not at the ready,' Clara thinks as they approached. A Union vampire steps forward, Clara notices he is wearing a Colonel's insignia.
COLONEL-
"Who goes there?"
CONFEDERATE-
"Aww...hell, Colonel Robinson, it's me: Major Eastman. Why are we here? You know the rules?"
ROBINSON-
"Of course Major, I know the rules. We feed on the opposing side, and never meet. However, there is something we have some matters to talk about. First, we have a Slayer in the area."
EASTMAN-
"The hell you say. Tell you what, I know a bounty hunter from Texas named Gorch. I can get him to take care of this Slayer."
ROBINSON-
"No. Contact Gorch, but he is going after Time's Arrow. We'll take care of the Slayer and make sure she doesn't reach it."
EASTMAN (spits some chewing tobacco)-
"You sure about this shit, sir. You really want to do this."
ROBINSON-
"Of course....the signs say that the great Angelus will betray us, and I'm going to make him pay. Now go, contact Gorch, and we'll hunt for the Slayer."
After the two groups split off, Clara slowly gets up and walks out of the cementary and towards the town.
