All better and looking for answers.
A few days later, I was all better, after being sick for about two weeks.
The doctors still don't have a clue about what happened to me, and I don't think they'll find anything either.
What happened to me, it had to have been mystical, it had to.
Now, me healing, that's another matter, that, I think sister Nadia has something to do with, and I'll question her about it, once I told my mom about The First.
But first of all, I had to know what happened to my dad, my mom, Buffy, Joyce, and all the others.
I just had to know.
"I'm going to a friend's house!" I yelled from the front door of the orphanage.
Nadia came running before I could close the door.
"You know, you've been spending an awful lot of time at that friends house, care to tell me who she really is ?" she asked.
Yeah, I'll tell you who she is if you tell me who you are... I thought to myself and I just said she was just a friend, again.
Then I closed the door and left, I'm beginning to get suspicious of her, and i'm gonna keep an eye on her from now on.
When i arrived at my moms house, I didn't even have to knock to get in, my mom hurried to the door and opened it, as if she was scared.
"I told you once not to come here alone, it's to dangerous."
Euh, hellooooooo, super slayer strength here, I thought.
"Okay, I'll call first." I just said.
I stepped into the house, my mom sat down and asked me how I was, and how I recovered so soon, she was gonna ask, how is it that you are still alive ? Or something like that, but she probably thought it was better to just ask something else.
"I don't know. Slayer strength, I guess." I lied, I did know, at least I know what I thought I knew, about Nadia.
"How did I get sick ?" I asked to break the silence that had come once I had sat down.
"I've been looking into that for several days now, and I'm fair to say, that I have no idea. Are you still having dreams about Buffy ?" she suddenly asked, I was overwhelmed, how did she know that ?
"I... I... no... I... how did you know that ?"
"I heard you mutter some things when you were pretty out of it in the hospital, and what else could it have been but a slayer dreaming about the last slayer."
I nodded and sat back down after having stood up because of the shock that she knew.
"I've been having dreams about something else too, something not good..." mom looked at me, waiting to hear what it was. "...But I'm not telling you anything about it until you tell me what happened to dad, you, Buffy, Joyce, everyone. And I wanted to know this for a few weeks now, but I got distracted, then sick, now, I want some answers. And no more of that cryptic mumbo jumbo, I want the real info. this time." I said and left her no choice but to tell me everything.
Mom stood up and came and sat closer to me.
"What do you wanna know ?"
I was gonna ask how dad died, how she got burned, but I couldn't, not yet.
"What's the real deal with Joyce ? Cause I know that stuff about her having a sickness and all is just gibberish."
Mom nodded and she called Joyce downstairs.
Once Joyce entered the room, she looked at mom and me.
Mom then looked at me.
"Joyce was born in the year 2000 and is now 20 years old..." she began.
"2000 ? But I didn't read anything about that in the book or the pages you gave me. Well, it's clearly right, when you look at her, but, but how ?"
"Buffy and Spike got pregnant together."
"But I thought they only hooked up in 2002 or sometime around that period ?"
"That's what's been told, to everyone, even Buffy's friends didn't know, they never knew about Joyce her existence..."
Mom looked at Joyce, Joyce just stood there, she didn't say anything.
"And what happened ?" I asked again.
"When Oz left, remember reading about him ?" she asked first, before continuing.
I nodded.
"Well, when he left, Willow was crushed, and she did a spell to have her will be done, but it backfired and everything she said, came true. So, she said in a moment of rage that Buffy and Spike should get married. And before she reversed the spell, Buffy slept with him, and after the spell ended, they were grossed out by each other, you see, Spike wasn't in love with her then, not yet."
Poor Buffy, I thought, have sex with someone cause you are under a spell, that must have been terrible.
I waited for mom to continue...
"A few weeks later, Buffy found out that she was pregnant, and that the baby she was carrying was growing faster then a normal human baby."
Normal human baby, did she mean that Joyce wasn't human by that ?
"So Buffy and Spike went to see a wiccan doctor, he said that the child that Buffy was carrying, was half human, half vampire..."
DUN DUN DUN... I was right! Joyce is a vampire, well, a half vampire anyway, how weird.
I looked at Joyce, but she was ashamed and looked away.
"How did she hide it from everybody ?"
"She told everyone that she was going to LA to sort something out with Angel, she stayed there for a few days, and came back to Sunnydale, with the baby."
"With the baby ? How did she hide it ?"
"She left the baby with Spike at night, when she went patrolling, she didn't trust him, but she also knew that he wouldn't hurt it, couldn't because of the chip, and seeing that Spike was falling in love with her, she knew the baby would be safe with him."
"And during the day ?"
"Then my mother took care of it when she could."
"What did she do when Joyce, your mom that is, died ?"
"She left it with Spike during the whole day, Buffy tried to see her as much as she could, but between looking after me, work, slaying, she didn't get the chance much."
"What happened when Buffy died ?"
"Buffy told me before she jumped, and I took care of it with Spike, until she was alive again, and it went on like that for years, until Buffy died and i moved away..."
"Hey, wait a minute! You told me once that Spike didn't know about her!"
"I know, and I'm sorry I lied, he did know, but I didn't want to tell you because if you knew, you'd go out to find him and slay him.
"Know what ?"
"That he killed Buffy and a lot of other slayers as well, he lost his soul again, and started killing everything and everyone in sight, then he left Sunnydale and I never saw him again, and you can't go out and find him. Promise me."
"I promise, for now..."
"Now, let me get this straight, Joyce is a half vampire, does she have a soul ? Can she come in son light ?"
"I have a soul..." Joyce turned to me and spoke, it was the first thing she said in ages.
"I have a soul and I can come in light, for a few minutes, no longer, or I'll get burned, that's why the blinds are on the car. And the reason I don't say much or why i always go upstairs is because I am ashamed."
I didn't say anything to comfort her and say she shouldn't be ashamed, cause maybe she should, i didn't know.
"Do you also have such a vampire face ?"
Joyce stood up, looked me in the eye, and her face transformed into a vampire face.
"Cool..." Mom and Joyce looked at me funny... "Sorry." I said.
"What else can or can't you do ?
"I can do anything except for standing in the son to long."
"I was gonna ask more things, but I'm gonna call it a day. I'm not even gonna ask how it is possible for a vampire and a human to have a baby, how it is possible that a half vampire exists. Ahh, I'm already hurting my brain saying it, I'll come back tomorrow and then we can talk more."
I stood up and walked to the door, then mom stood up too.
"You can stay here for the night, if you'd like." she asked me.
"I'd love to, if I could, but see, the thing is that I can't, I have to do something else. And eum, I'll walk home by myself tonight, I wanna patrol, cause that's what slayers do hu, I'll be careful, and I'll call for Joyce to come pick me up tomorrow, bye." I closed the door and left.
I didn't ask anything more about my dad or so, the Joyce stuff was already to much for me to handle.
I went to the cemetary to find some vampires to kick ass.
I waited for ten minutes when I saw a vampire crawling out of his grave, I stood by it, waited for him to come out, gave him a kick in the stumack and staked him, I din't want a fight that was to big for me, cause I've never had training or so before.
After that I went back to the orphanage.
