Thanx and happy thanksgiving!!!

Lighting began to crackle across the cloak of darkness.

The silver kisses of the moon disappeared behind the darkness

of the clouds as the whole village plunged into everlasting darkness.

All was silent once more.

Chanting and whispering broke the night instilled silence and the battle had finally begun.

“We can’t let them near her!” one Day One shouted.

Buffy was alone in the darkness before the figures that were fighting against each other.

Anger pierced her heart like a dagger.

Everything in the darkness was ominous and eerie as white mists

billowed and surrounded her like a cloak of whiteness that stood out.

Crows screeched, wolves howled in the lonely darkness, and

soon, she was back in the forbidden forest once more.

Alone.

Lighting continued to crackle against the night.

Shadows flickered across the ominous, looming forest that stood eerily in front of her.

Silence instilled.

Leaves fell gracefully around her, but still, she was alone in the ominous darkness.

Crackles of energy flickered between her fingers as her eyes searched the

darkness for any presence that might be lurking, watching her in the forebiding night.

She continued to gather her power, leaves and fallen branches

crackling underneath, breaking the forbidden silence that instilled.

She sensed no other presence but herself.

Shadows loomed and flickered all around her.

Treacherous shadows flickered closer and closer as if they were trying to reach her.

Black lighting shattered the silence of the night that instilled and the fear that stilled in

Buffy’s heart grew deeper and deeper in excruciating fear as hairs on her neck and

arms began to rise within the black shadows that withered in the darkness.

It was still eerily silent. No nightly sounds emancipated

from deep within the darkness of the ominous woods.

And she was still alone in the forbidden forest that radiated menace.

Treacherous shadows swayed menacingly across the withered tombstones of long ago.

Then she felt a hand on her shoulder.

“Hey it’s just me, amore,” Angel whispered from behind, his face hidden in black shadows.

“Angel, I don’t want you here. Please leave. I have a feeling something horrible is gonna happen here,” Buffy

whispered fearfully, her eyes searching for any presence that lingered in the shadows.

“I can’t leave you here alone. It could be a trap,” Angel whispered, his breath caressing against her cheek.

“And I’m telling you to leave! I don’t want to see you hurt. It be

"too much to bear if you got hurt by them. I want you to leave. Please,” Buffy whispered.

The silence of the night was broken by soft, cruel laughter that billowed

from behind them and they turned to gaze upon the shadowed eyes of

the Leader that stood before them in a cloak of concealed darkness that radiated it’s dark presence.

“Looks like it’s just you and me Buffy,” the cloaked figure whispered cruelly.

“Please, you have to get out of here! I don’t want it to hurt you,” Buffy

whispered, pleading desperately for her Soulmate to leave.

And then she felt a powerful change going through her, filling her with such white power and light.

Blond hair shimmered in pale moonbeams as it reached her slim legs

that shimmered under the cascading silver kissed glow of the moon.

She had a cloak of white velvet dressed upon her, sparkling and radiated

with thousands of small, silver diamonds that shimmered under the silver glow of the moon above.

Silver glitter cascaded her arms and her face, making her look almost like the goddess

of the moon herself, a diamond headache band encased

across her forehead that radiated elegance and enchantment.

Her aura was encased with enough power that sent fear through the Leader’s dark eyes.

White, crackling energy flickered through Buffy’s slim fingertips, her slim body glowing with white power.

A smile of sheer brilliance and intimidation tugged at her lips.

“Now we can settle this like real warriors right Buffy?” the Leader

sneered and unexpectedly threw a crackling black energy ball straight at Buffy.

Using her newfound strength, Buffy flickered the fireball

back until it disintegrated into nothingness against the darkness.

She was purely invincible.

Moonlight cascaded through the lifeless trees and a cool

breeze billowed and caressed her slim form delicately.

Another crackling fireball was aimed at her, but Buffy managed to dodge it at the last moment.

White power crackled between her fingertips as she tossed

the fireball before the Leader, piercing the cloaked figure directly at its chest.

A howl of pain and anger pierced through the coolness that was the night.

Stars twinkled like white hot fire above and a burst of lighting crackled through the cloak of darkness above.

The cloaked dark figure that loomed before her dropped dead onto fallen

leaves and branches that rustled and swirled in the cool breeze.

“Don’t. It could be a trap,” Angel warned Buffy, holding her back against his warm body.

“I’ll go check,” Angel whispered, placing a kiss to Buffy’s lips gently in the breeze.

“No!! It hurt you!” Buffy gasped.

“It’s ok mio amore. It can’t hurt me,” Angel whispered, placing another soft kiss to her lips.

Instinct screamed at her to stop her beloved from approaching the dark figure

and she carefully walked behind her beloved, leaves and

branches crackling underneath that broke the instilled, ominous silence.

Angel stood before the befallen figure carefully.

“It’s not breathing,” he whispered to Buffy.

“Be careful,” Buffy whispered back, fear instilling in her wet eyes that pooled.

A sense of ominous danger loomed before them.

“Let’s go,” Buffy whispered, grabbing Angel’s hand to hers, the sense of danger wafting in the air eerily.

Angel reluctantly let his beloved push him away from the fallen

figure, but not before something treacherous had happened.

The fallen figure moved, holding a sinister dagger under

its arm as it the dagger pierced Angel through the stomach.

He fell to the ground, droplets of ruby blood spilling onto the fallen leaves.

The dark figure stood up, and laughed cruelly.

“Looks like you just lost the love of your life precious,” the darkLeader sneered.

“Angel!!” Buffy cried out in the darkness, cradling his head into

her lap as tears spilled into his cheeks, shimmering under the silver glow.

Angel gasped, but no words could escape from his face that was billowed

with such pain and sadness that shattered Buffy’s heart once more.

“It’s gonna be all right,” Buffy tried to soothe, ripping a piece of her white cloak to stop the blood from spilling.

“No it won’t love. Your soulmate is gonna die and you will soon

"join him, just as soon as I get your power for my own,” The Leader continue to taunt.

Anger, pain, and sadness blossomed on Buffy’s features.

“You will pay for this,” she snarled whispery.

“Angel, please don’t go,” she pleaded, tears and spasms overtaking her body.

“You can’t leave me,” she continued to plead in tears.

More tears trickled down her flushed cheeks and spilled onto his lips as

his hand caressed her face gently, and smiled with such sadness and pain and love.

“That’s not a promise I will be able to make amore. I’m….so….sorry…..for….everything. Please…..forgive….me.

"One day….we…. Will be together again love. Always remember that I love you so much. I will always….be there….with you… in spirit,” Angel gasped, his obsidian eyes gazing at Buffy’s lovingly.

“You can’t do this,” Buffy pleaded, kissing his lips passionately.

“I’m so…..sorry. Forgive me…. Remember that I love you and I will always love you. You’re….always…a part…of me…” Angel whispered, and then, silence bestilled the night.

More tears spilled from Buffy’s eyes as her own howls of pain and loss

of her soulmate shattered the night with such sadness and pain.

And anger.

The unbearable pain of losing the only man she had ever loved was incredible unbearable.

She looked down upon Angel’s lifeless body, caressing his cool cheek, placing

a soft kiss to his cool lips as memories and images of him lingered in her mind.

More tears spilled.

“I will always love you,” she whispered to him.

“Goodnight my love,” she whispered, giving one last kiss before his body disappeared into the darkness.

The pain was unbearable.

The tears couldn’t stop trickling down her flushed, angry cheeks.

She never would of imagine that losing someone you loved was going

to be this unbearable, this painful that it shook her to the core.

But she had readied herself in knowing that someone she knew or love was going to sacrifice their precious life.

She didn’t imagine that it would have been her Soulmate.

All the memories of what they could of have would never going to happen. Forever more.

**Goodnight, my love
Till the very last wisp of breath
Escapes from your precious lips
That quivers under the velvet cloak that is
The night
My undying soul that bleeds with
Everlasting and eternal radiates
My love, my desire for your very
Presence that haunts the mysterious
Darkness that lingers and cloaks
The ghost of what we once were
But never more
The silver kisses that is
The moon kisses us with its silver radiance
As you disappear into the darkness
Forever more,
With one last kiss…

Goodnight, my love…

My moment with you now is ending….

**Remember that you’re mine, sweetheart….

The core of white hot flame that burned inside her soul continued to burn

with white hot anger at the one thing that had taken the love of her life away from her.

Buffy silently vowed that she was going to end this before other people she loved were going to be lost forever.

It had to end here. For her Angel. For the only man she had ever loved.

She was going to stop the Evil for him, for Rowan, for the other members of the Day Ones.

It was all gonna stop here.

Once and for all.

“You’re afraid to show your face you cowardly bastard,” she screamed

into the silent night, anger, passion, loss, sadness filled the core of her soul that was seething with rage.

“I’m right here dear. I’m truly sorry for your loss,” the Leader replied sarcastically.

“You will pay for what you’ve done to him. You will pay for everything your people did to the Innocents.

“I will make sure that after tonight, you will go down and you wills suffer for your crimes,” Buffy snarled.

“Am I supposed to be afraid love?”

“I know I’m not.”

“Don’t tempt me child. You are afraid. You are seething with rage for what I had done to your true love.”

“But you never figured out who I truly am didn’t you child?

"You never figured out what had caused your mother’s murder?”

Buffy’s eyes widened.

“What the hell do you know about my mother? You’re Evil.”

The Leader smiled grimly before it replied.

“You never had figured it out do you? I thought you were

"more smarter than that my child but I guess I was wrong.”

“Figure out what? I’ve no time for these stupid games!” Buffy

yelled, memories of Angel lingering in her mind still, giving her anger.

The cloaked figure dropped the velvet hood, revealing its face before Buffy.

Buffy gasped in shock.

“Mother? You’re still alive?” she whispered, closing her eyes to the image before her.

It couldn’t be. She was dead.

“Yes. As you can see, I was alive all this time. And you thought I was dead child? But no.

"While you were being raised as a normal human, I was the Leader of the Night Ones, destroying every human that

“had crossed our paths, turning them on our side in readying for the Night Wars that are getting closer to the millenium.”

“I lied to everyone. And they all thought that I was truly dead but all this time I was alive, stealing the power and

“killing the stupid humans for taking over our world after we ruled it for so many years.”

“And I recently discovered that my only daughter was beginning to develop her powers as a witch.

“But I was angered that you had decided to join with the

"pathetic forces of Good instead of ruling the Night Ones with your own mother!”

“I wanted you to join my side so we could be together once more but instead, I destroyed the love of your life!

“Your soulmate!” Buffy’s mother spat, as if tasting something vile and bitter.

“I would never join you! As long as I’m here mother or whoever you are, I will never join you.

“As long as you and the Night Ones are here, I will make sure that

“every one of you is destroyed, including you for what you had done to my love!” Buffy snarled.

Her mother only laughed, fingers crackling with sizzling energy.

Buffy did the same.

She was ready for this. After all this time, her mother was Evil.

It was enough to stop her once and for all.

And she was ready to battle...
