ANDREW!! MAN OF ACTION! by Timan
[Reviews - 3]
<<

Andrew stood awkwardly in front of the three tiers of terrorists.

“So you guys aren’t, like, mean terrorists right?” he asked

The henchmen look at each other. Andrew dropped and moved behind three barrels as a hail of bullets rained down from the scaffolding. Back in the van Wilda listened to the action.

“Andrew! Are you okay?” Wilda asks

“This guys are really tick about something!” Andrew yelled out over the noise.

“Okay, this is what I want you to do. Try to take out as many as you can I’ll be there shortly.”

“Take out? Like on a date? I don’t I have that much money.”

“Kill them Andrew!”

“Don’t you think that’s, like, harsh? I don’t know these guys they might be okay.”

Wilda shook her head. She had long given up trying to understand his logic. She drew her gun and tried to pull back the chamber. Realizing what it was made she ditched it and drew the emergence gun from the draw.

“Mean? They are trying to shoot you with automatic weapons.”

“Maybe they think I’m someone else.”

“Andrew!” Wilda said stressfully, “Just stall them till I get there okay?”

“Alright but I don’t think they want any visitors.”

Andrew pressed up hard against the barrels as bullets ricocheted left and right. From his he drew his gun and held it in the prone position. There was a break in the firing and Andrew seized his moment. Moving quickly he leaped up and aimed at the first henchmen.

*CLICK*

“Oh, right, the clip.” Andrew said in realization.

He quickly ducked down as the hail of bullets started again. From the other side of his jacket pocket he fumbled around for one of the clips. He pulled it out and slid it into the grip of the gun. One again he sat in the prone position and waited for the reload.

*CLATTER*

The clip slid out the bottom of Andrews gun and landed noisily on the Floor. Andrew frowned and tried again.

*CLATTER*

“Darn it!” he said as he examined the clip and the base of the gun, “What was the order again? Take the clip; slide it into the thing then . . . this looked so much easier when Tom Cruse did it.”

There was another break in the firing. In frustration Andrew stood up and waved his arms.

“Okay! Time out you guys!” he yelled to the henchmen, “I think certain people need to stop shooting and wait till other people learn how to load their guns! Cool?”

The henchmen looked confused. As they scratched their heads Andrew attempted to slide the clip into the guns base again. He tried to aim it but the clip fell out again. Holding to the two pieces he looks up anxiously at the terrorists.

“Does any body know how to do this?” he called out to the group “ I try to slide the thing in but it won’t stay. Is there, Like, A button or a setting I’m not using?”

Andrew tries the clip one more time. With a click it stayed in place.

“Cool!” he said to himself.

Excitedly he turned back to the henchmen

“It’s cool now I got the thing working so how. . ?”

Andrew dashed back behind the barrels as the henchmen started to fire again. After a long moment they stop to reload again.

“Hey! I wasn’t ready!” he yelled as he stood up again, “This system is totally unfair! That guy in the fez, he has two machine guns and I only have this little hand thing! Can I borrow a gun from one of you?”

The hail of bullets started and Andrew ducked down. He covered his head as his bullet shield slowly began to disintegrate around him. Like before the henchmen stopped to reload. Andrew jumped up again and pouted.

“You guys are cheating you’ve done this before! Hey, maybe we could do, like, a round robin system, or go from who’s the coolest. Oh! Oh! We’ll go Alphabetically. Okay, my name is Andrew, so that begins with an ‘A’. You in the turban thing what’s your name?”

“Akmed!” the henchmen called out

“Akmed? . . Is that with a ‘C’ or a ‘K’?”

Just then Wilda burst in the front door. Lifting her gun she scored a series of headshots from top row. The henchmen returned fire. Agent Mendoza pushed Andrew down behind the barrels again and rolled across the floor. Collecting a couple of the dropped machine guns she flipped back onto her feet and took out the bottom row at deadly speed. Moving under for cover she started to fire thought the wooden planks. As Wilda calmly walks out from under the scaffolding the structure collapses. Andrew stands up and looks at Wilda smug expression. In annoyance Andrew folded his arms.

“Thanks a lot miss Shooty Shooterton! I had everything under control!” he yelled

Wilda rolls her eyes.

“How?” she asked

“I’m not gonna give away my spy secrets!” Andrew replied, “I was charming them all Commander Riker style then I was gonna be all BANG! BANG!”

As Andrew pointed his gun the clip dropped out the grip again.

“Darn it!” he said as he looked closely at the gun.

Wilda sighed in frustration. She stormed up to him, grabbed his handgun and tossed it way, from the ground she picked up one of the machine guns and thrusted it into his arms.

“Sweet.” He said as he looked at the automatic weapon.

“Come on Andrew we have to catch up with our fake diplomat.”

“Cool I’ll be right there I just want to check out . . . “

Wilda ducked for cover as Andrew’s machine gun goes off. When the clip runs dry she jumps back up to her feet, storms over to Andrew, takes the gun away from him and tosses it away. Agent Mendoza storms out of the room leaving Andrew alone.

“I’m getting better,” he said quietly to himself
