She glanced up at Xander; her eyes large and dark with fear. White scratches ran down her
cheeks where trees had lashed out at her during her run through the forest, occasionally dotted
with beads of blood. Her slight body shivered, and Xander reached out to put his arm around
her, but she shrugged it away.
"I...I have to go," she murmured, as her fingers found her hood and pulled it back over her head
again. She smiled uneasily, and then walked past Xander. He turned to watch her go, a frown
forming on his face, as she began to sprint away. Glancing down at her feet, Xander suddenly
noticed she was wearing no shoes.
"You OK, Buff?" he shouted curiously. When she didn't turn or holler anything back, Xander
began to worry. And suspect that something was wrong; way wrong.
