Chp; 16 They Die

Emma lay next to Conner still in the bed together. The light of day shined through the window above the bed on the blanket they lay under. Now what happened here.
“Conner I brought Break-” Trish walked into the Dorm room with a bag of breakfast, she stop dead in her tracks to see Emma and Conner in bed with each other, to see them, their clothes on the floor, a sadness over came her, “Oh, my god.”
Teresa ran to the bathroom and closed the door behind her. She began to throw up, it could be heard throw the door. Emma started to wake up, she opened her eyes slowly, her eyes went from yellow to their normal blue. She realized that Conner was next to her and sat up quickly.
“What did I do?” she questioned herself, her voice trembling.
Emma grabbed her clothes quickly off the floor. She put them on. Trish opened the door to look out. Trish came out of the bathroom looking at Emma angrily.
“Get the hell out,” said Trish.
Emma looked at her quickly like she’d been scared, or innocent at the moment. Emma turned and left slamming the door behind her. Conner started waking up, he sat up slowly, his eyes were yellow, but then they went automatically back to blue.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?!!” screamed Trish.
“Trish?” he said surprised.
“No wonder you never said you loved me, because you loved her,” cried Trish.
“It’s not what it looks like.”
“NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE, You were in bed naked with her, tell me again it’s not what it looks like, she was there, naked with you, what was she cold, and you were going to warm her up because it was being a good humanitarian, you love her!”
“I don’t -”
“Don’t Love her, I was your fiancée, you slept with a 16 year old!!”
“I don’t -”
“Don’t lie to me anymore, we’re through,” said Trish putting her foot down right there.
“But-”
“Tell me you don’t like her, tell me the true, you don’t love her.”
He paused, “I don’t-”
“Just say it, say you don’t love her.”
“I don’t know,” sighed Conner.
“NO, WE’RE DONE!”
“I don’t know!” stated Conner.
“Yes or no, do you have feelings for her?”
“I don’t know Trish!”
“YOU LIKE HER!!” she was obviously outraged.
“I guess so now get out of here,” Trish was still crying, “I never said I loved you because I don’t, this is over completely I don’t want to see you again, now get the hell out of here!!!”
“I knew,” she said.
“GET OUT!!!” roared Conner.
Trish threw her ring down from her finger and ran out the door slamming it behind her. Conner laid back down rubbing his forehead in grief. He sighed.

Spike was pacing the Lobby. He was waiting. Emma walked into the Lobby through the entrance.
“Where the hell have you been?” said Spike walking up to Emma.
“Out, Why?” asked Emma.
“Don’t act innocent, what were you doing?” he pestered.
“Nothing now I’m gonna go take a shower Thank You very much,” stated Emma walking past Spike.
“You smell different what have you been doing all night?” said Spike following her.
“I got jumped by a group of vamps, nothing. I killed them went on, it doesn’t matter,” said Emma.
Emma walked down the hall still being followed by Spike, “You scared me, I don’t want you out there getting hurt.”
“I don’t get hurt,” said Emma going into her room and kicking her shoes off.
Spike tried to go in but was blocked out, “I’m worried.”
“You shouldn’t be,” said Emma sitting on her bed, blanket on it now, green, she pulled her socks off.
“You’re acting different,” said Spike looking at the Doorway.
“I have my reasons,” scoffed Emma going towards him.
“I worry all the time about you getting hurt,” said Spike, “I care.”
“Getting hurt, ha, ha, I’ve got nothing to worry about that let me be.”
“Fine. Emma you know I care about you, you’re part of me, my daughter.”
“Kind hard to forget,” she scoffed slamming the door shot and locking it.
Emma unzipped her shirt as she walked into bathroom. She closed the door and leaned against it. She let out a breath.
Her shirt dropped to the floor along with her pants. She opened the shower door and got in. Emma turned the fossit on, she turned it all the way to cold. Emma sat under the cold water, she held herself in a ball her head in her arms. (You didn’t see anything.) She looked up at the ceiling.
Emma could remember so clearly what she’d done, what she’d let Conner do to her. Take away the last thing she probably would ever have of innocence. Take her virginity. She looked down at her arms.
She wiped her face and opened the door of the shower grabbing her pocket knife out of her pants pocket. She looked at the blade still sitting sort of rolled up in a ball. She took the knife and cut a vain in her wrist, a normal person would bleed to death.
Blood flowed out of the cut on Emma’s wrist. She was trying to kill herself. She dropped the knife and started to squeeze the blood in her wrist out. The blood flowed down the drain. Emma’s heart beats started to grow faint. She sat in the very cold water bleeding to death right there.

Conner went into the bathroom to put his clothes on when he stopped what he was doing and stayed very still. He had his jeans pulled up already but He heard something. He heard his heart beat, but there was something odd about it, but it wasn’t his heart that was odd. The second sound was faint.
He stood in front of the mirror, “That noise.”
He put his hand on his chest where his heart beat was. Everything around him all of a sudden became more detail. The air stung his skin. Smells flowed into his nostrils.

Blood stained the tub of the bathroom. Emma still lay there, her bluish body leaned forward over her knees.

Conner held his hand over his heart. I felt very concerned for what was going on, “It’s gone.”

Emma’s body then QUICKLY healed and her body came back to it real color and she gasped for air.

At that same time, The heart beat came back, Conner heard it and accidentally slammed his head into the mirror smashing it, blood flying all over the shards. He fell down on the floor.

Emma was gasping as the stain tub became no longer red tinted. She put the knife back outside the shower and looked up at the Showerhead. Emma stood up. (You see Emma at the shower head, I don’t do nudity, it might look like it, but nothing weird will be shown.) Emma started wiping her face off in the cold water.

Lilah and a group of commandos walked down into the shrine. The lights out.
“Someone, get these lit!” demanded Lilah. One of the commandos lit the torches. They all lit and Lilah walked her way to the front of the shrine, “Hamilton,” she called, “It’s time.” She saw Hamilton sitting in the throne chair like he was asleep, “I knew he wouldn’t last, always sleeps on the job, Hamilton get up now.”
Hamilton took in a gasp of air. Lilah backed up to seeing Hamilton’s alertness in the light. Hamilton’s eyes went icy white then shift to green. His body started to convulse and his skin turn white and green. Illyria style.
His hair went greenish. HE grew a beard upon his face green and brown hair upon it. He scratched at the chair he sat in gasping for deep breaths. He stood up and walked forward. Lilah back up as. As soon as he fully stood on his feet The fire of the room went blew and the windows cleared themselves of dust projecting and artificial green light through out the room.
Then the torches went red and so did his skin. Green to red. As his hair. The windows stayed blue as vines began to thrive on the walls. Climbed up and on the towering ceiling and all of the dust shot up at the ceiling all at once. [Well call him ‘The Harvester.’] The Harvester cocked his head to the side.
He walked towards the sarcophagus and placed his hand on the top. Slowly his clothes changed. he became shirtless and his pants became made of leather and he wore boots as he stood there. He removed his hand from the sarcophagus.
“You do I see before me, children of the womb, Humans,” spat the towering man.
Lilah swallowed, “Wow, make over, cool.”
The Harvester was all of a sudden standing in front of her, “I did not give permission of entry.”
“We freed you so I think we deserve not to die, cause we can work together, seeing that you don’t really like humans,” stated Lilah, “And now you are one.”
“Filth, I am filth,” sneered Harvester.
Lilah opened her purse and grabbed a mirror out of it, it was in a compact. She offered it to The Harvester, he looked at it, not in the mirror though, “Come on, one look, I don’t bow you know.”
Harvester removed it from her hand. He looked at himself in the reflection. Quickly he closed it and smashed it into dust in his hand. “And so you’ve freed me to walk this world?”
“Well, you can skip if you want,” smiled Lilah.
“Silence dirt,” said The Harvester, “I call upon my servants.”
“Well,” said Lilah, “I’m not dirt and they’re not awake right now.”
Harvester put her aside, she fell on the sarcophagus and watched him walked past her. The commandos stepped out of The Harvester’s way as he walked looking at the isles. His eyes were now red and not green. The artificial light shined on them in a deadly way.
“Rise my children,” commanded The Harvester, “Rise.”
“I don’t think you’re saying it loud enough,” said Lilah.
“Silence, RISE!!” he bellowed in his deep voice.
The Harvester walked over to the nearest coffin and pulled open the stone top. Whatever was inside leaped out and then turned into dust when it was ready. The Harvester let out a deep groan.
“My children are gone, MY SERVANTS DEMOLISHED!!!” yelled The Harvester, the ground began to shake.

Conner woke up as the ground began to shake. Conner looked at the mirror, which wasn’t broken. No more blood on the glass. Everything was completely fine. Except for the un going shaking.
Conner stood up as the ground stopped it’s shaking. He grabbed his shirt off the drawers put it on and walked out of the door slamming it behind him.

Wesley noticed the shaking. He feared that shaking. “I have to tell them, they can’t go without knowing,” he spoke, “Especially if it’ll essentially kill them and billions of innocent lives.” Wesley looked up at the ceiling as he stood next to his desk of his bedroom. Drywall dust shaking from the ceiling.

Angel was with Gunn when the shaking started The weapons in the weapons cabinet even shook as The were looking at them.
“Southern California,” said Gunn.
“Or Apocalypse,” said Angel.

Emma was in the sewers when the earth quake took place. She brushed the dust off of her once the shaking stopped. Brushed it off her black jean jacket and then kept going.

Spike was in his room drinking a beer when it started shaking and he pulled the beer away from his lips. “World’s a rockin’ is it?”

The Harvester stood there as the room stopped it’s shaking. Harvester went forward and slammed his hands down on two of the coffins and the power of his blow shattered the coffin and then the next 2 down the line it was so strong. Lilah and the commandos were thrown to the floor.
They skid across the marble and tried their best to stand up. The flames seem to shook, “We know what you want !” yelled Lilah.
The Harvester stopped her looked to her, “You know what I want?”
“Yes, power everything that things were before, but you’re servants have died of old age in their coffins,” said Lilah.
“And, power, how do you give this to me if I’m without servants?” he sneered.
“Well I happen to work for a firm, Wolfram & Hart,” stated Lilah.
“Lower beings,” hissed The Harvester.
Lilah stood up, “Not now, now where the most known company in over 342 dimensions, counting Hell.”
“Really?” asked Harvester, “And you can help make things back they way they should be.”
“Of course, but there’s one problem,” said Lilah.
“What’s this problem?” he sneered, “To you cease to know of my past, my power?”
“The problem is, A nice vampire named Angel,” said Lilah.
“Vampire?” scoffed Harvester.
“No ordinary vampire,” said Lilah, “A vampire with a soul.”
“The vampires of my day all had souls!” roared Harvester, “And they’d died at my hand.”
“Well, this one seems to have a knack for screwing up ancient Evil’s plots.”
“Really,” said The Harvester, “ And you tell me this not caring that when I’m threw with you, you will enslaved or killed.”
“Oh,” said Lilah, “That’s not what I worry about.”

At noon Emma kicked down a door of a crypt. A teenage girl was being attacked by a group of vampires. The vampires dodged the light quickly coming from the door way as Emma ran in. Emma signaled to them to come at her.
She walked into the shadows of the room doing so. The came towards her their normal faces already being gone. Emma ducked a blow from the right jumping up in a barrel roll and kicked that same one across the head. She landed on her left leg crouched down and leapt forwards at the one in front of her smashing it against a wall and she jumped off him.
The teenage girl was still crying, “SAVE ME!!” nag.
Emma landed on her feet in crouch position quickly standing up straight and kicked one in the face in front of her. The vampire was flipped quickly landing into a wall dusting. Emma then back flipped around landing behind one and she slammed her fist into his back. He was dust.
Emma pushed one down then punched one across the face and tracked the blades in her sleeves out jumping up and twirling around cutting those two vamp’s heads off. She landed on her feet retracted the blades quickly went up on one hand and kicked the one in front of her in the face killing him.
She landed. Swiftly she kicked the vampire behind her in the head killing him. Emma dodged the last one’s blow and got behind him quickly grabbing him by the head and twisting his head off. The vampire flew into a dust pattern on the floor.
Emma went towards the crying girl. She sniffed wiping her eyes.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you,” she said abruptly. The girl got up and went towards Emma she grabbed her shoulders and hugged her, “I thought my life was gone she sobbed,” Emma looked at her like she was crazy.
“My boy friend was one of them, he took me here, he was one of them,” she cried, “One of them,” she wiped her face and hugged Emma again, “I did all those things, with a vampire.”
Emma just looked at that girl disgusted, the girl ranted on in her deep sobs, “A vampire, I lost my virginity to a vampire. I did that, I believe him. I trusted him.”
“You slut,” said Emma, quickly Emma grabbed the girl by the head and broke her neck. Emma stepped back from the body, “Slut, you’re a slut.”

Angel beat on his punching bag in his bedroom. He wore a tank top as he did so. Just spending his time doing that. Thinking.
Conner walked in and closed the door behind him. Angel turned around and looked at him, “Conner, you smell different.”
“What, huh?” questioned Conner.
“You just walked in here and I smelled something different about you,” said Angel.
“Nothing, I don’t think,” said Conner.
Angel went back to the punching bag, “It’s probably just,” punch, “me.”
Conner stood there in the silence of the room for a long moment, “Can I tell you anything?”
“Anything?” asked Angel, “Like what?” asked Angel pulling away from the bag, “Is there something wrong?”
“Uh, I guess you can say that,” said Conner.
“Why,” he went to him, “What is it?”
“Trish left me,” said Conner.
“Oh my, what, that’s horrible, she just left,” said Angel.
“I did something,” said Conner, “That I don’t know if I should or shouldn’t have done.”
Angel stood there, “Do you want to tell me, what did you do, I mean, fights, you can get over those,” said Angel, “If you really love each other.”
“I cheated on her, one night stand last night, she kind of caught us,” said Conner, “After, we were sleeping at the time.”
“Oh, well, Conner I’m not going to encourage that, do you love this one night stand?” asked Angel, “Of course, that’s odd, being that you just kind of had sex with someone that you met last night.”
“No, I actually had known her for some time in fact,” said Conner, “It just was all of a sudden.”
“All of a sudden,” said Conner.
“I mean I’d kissed her before, so that makes it worse, but uh…” Conner stopped talking.
Angel folded his arms, “You still love Trish.”
“No,” said Conner, “I don’t, I don’t like her anymore, It’s like one night of a one night stand and I’m completely over her. Weird. Everything thing is different now. I feel different.”
“Well if you like the one night stand, go find her or something and I don’t know, I’ve never dealt with one of these,” said Angel awkwardly, they were quiet for a moment, “What’s the girl like.”
Conner sat down in a chair in front of Angel and folded his arms, bashfully he spoke, He came out with a question, “Is Emma a virgin?”
Angel didn’t think about that fact that Conner was asking him that and quickly replied with, “Yes.”
“Well, she’s not anymore,” said Conner.
Everything went quiet. Angel’s eyes went wide. Angel didn’t know what to say and didn’t want to come right out with it and tell his own son that he was stupid. Or that Spike would be pissed into the next Galaxy if he found out. They felt like they were quiet for a very long time.
“Do tell me that,” Angel swallowed, “ You’re assuming that she met some guy and during the night did some things and you some how found out.”
“No, I was there, I was-”
“What the Hell were you thinking Conner?”
“Well uh, apparently I wasn’t,” stated Conner, “We got angry, she started crying, I saw a new light of things and things happened.”
“Does she seem at all to you to be mentally capable to handle that kind of stuff?” asked Angel.
“I wasn’t thinking, I know, and I committed statutory rape, but, she’s not in the system, and I don’t know what she thinks.”
“Don’t let Spike find out,” said Angel rubbing his forehead, he sighed, “Did you at least use protection?”
“I highly doubt that she’ll get pregnant when she doesn’t have most the organs for it,” stated Conner.
“You better hope she doesn’t have those organs,” said Angel.
“Well I want to find her and talk to her,” said Conner.
“Make sure she doesn’t tell anyone, what?” asked Angel, “I really don’t see any reason for you to find her.”
“Cause I don’t know how I feel,” said Conner.
“What?” said Angel folding his arms, “Are you telling me that you might have feelings for Emma.”
“I don’t care about Trish anymore,” sighed Conner, “I just don’t.”
“Maybe Emma put a spell on you,” said Angel.
“Emma’s not evil,” said Conner, “I realized that when she was crying to me, telling me what she went through.”
“Old story I’ve heard enough, you sure?” asked Angel in disbelief, “This is Emma.”
“I know this is Emma,” said Conner, “I feel different, like I’ve been awaken.”

Conner walked into the lobby and saw Emma, “Emma.” He called for her but she just walked off and ran up the stairs.

Emma ran into her room and slammed the door shut. Emma folded her arms standing there in the room the windows closed the door closed. She stood there. Emma sat down on the bed, “Damn it!” burst out Emma standing up and punching her fist into her lamp on the nightstand.
Conner walked in slowly, she turned to look at him angrily. Conner replied, “Hi.”
“Stay the bloody hell away from me,” sneered Emma.
“I just wanted-”
Emma interrupted him, “To have sex again, sorry I don’t give it away, now get the hell away from me.”
“No, I want to talk.”
She stated right there, “I don’t.”
“So, something happened we can’t forget that,” said Conner.
“How can I?” said Emma going towards him.
“We can’t, doesn’t that mean anything,” he said in a breath.
“YOU USED ME!”
“No I didn’t,” said Conner.
“I don’t want to talk about it, I want to forget that ever happened,” demanded Emma.
“But I wont.”
“SCREW IT, FORGET!” she demanded angrily.
“NO!,” he grabbed her by the shoulders and shoved her against the wall, “You listen because I don’t think you will,” she looked him dead in the face, “Things are different now, I feel different.”
“I don’t-”
“I thought you wouldn’t but, I want you to know you’re not alone,” he said.
“I am,” she sneered.
“No, you can trust me now, I’ve realized that-” began Conner.
“I can’t trust anyone, can’t you see.”
Emma pushed him away.
“Why can’t we be at least friends?” said Conner, “Everything is different, and you’re ignoring it, because you were just as willing as me to do what we did, I don’t care about anything else.”

“We can’t I hate you, everything about you.”
“I don’t think that’s why,” stated Conner.
“Maybe it isn’t you don’t know.”
“Then let me know,” said Conner.
“No,” she said her eyes wide, her face not all that angry, but she sure didn’t like this moment.
“I want to be near you, friends I don’t care,” said Conner.
“Even if I wanted to I can’t,” growled Emma.
“Why?” asked Conner, “Tell me, why?”
“Friends die,” said Emma.
Emma pushed him down and walked out of the room. Conner stood back up looking back at her.

Night eased in completely. Conner returned to his dorm after looking for Emma, not finding her either. Trish was waiting for him in his dorm room. She stood up to see him.
“What do you want?” he asked her.
“I want to talk Conner?” she said.
Conner sat in his desk chair, “About what, I’ve got nothing to really talk to you about.”
“What is she doing?” asked Trish.
“She wants me to stay away from her,” his voice was aggressive sounding.
“I want you back,” said Trish.
“That’s why you came here?” asked Conner.
“I love you Conner, I know that I can forgive this because, Emma hates you, doesn’t she?”
“What make you think that, I can make her think different,” said Conner.
“Why would you want to do that when I’m right here, for you,” she said, “We can start back to where we left off like nothing ever happened.”
“Like nothing,” said Conner, “No, I’ve done too much to just forget.”
“What, one night, it won’t matter, I can forget that,” said Trish.
“Well, I kissed her once before that, and I want to find her and talk to her,” said Conner.
Trish folded her arms across the breast, she looked hurt, “No, you want to find her and have sex with her cause she’s giving it away.”
“No,” said Conner, “Cause I have feeling for her.”
“Forget them,” said Trish.
“Don’t you get what I’m telling you,” said Conner, “I have feelings for now, not you.”
“What would her father think of this?” asked Trish abruptly.
“Goanna black mail me?”
“I’m just saying,” said Trish.
Conner jumped up from his chair and pushed Trish against the wall angrily she looked at him so afraid. Fear dripped off her, Conner loved the smell of it, “Don’t you understand, I DON’T LOVE YOU TRISH, I WON’T LOVE YOU EVER AGAIN!”
She shook with fear, she cried, “Your eyes.”
Conner’s eyes. Yellow.
“LEAVE!!” he said quickly letting go.
She fell on the floor. Conner’s eyes reverted and his teeth, he didn’t even notice that he’d done that. Trish got on her feet.
“You tell Spike, anyone I’ll kill you, and don’t think I wont,” said Conner.
Trish ran out of the room. Conner looked at the bed and sat down on it.

Wesley’s mind was confusing. Full of Information he naturally for some reason couldn’t just say anything about. He had stayed in his room all day stacking books. He acted a little crazy he did.
Angel knocked on the room door, “Come in,” said Wesley. Angel opened the door, “Hi.”
“What are you doing?” asked Angel.
“Just some spring cleaning,” smiled Wesley.

He started stacking the books again but this time by size. Angel grabbed one of the books.
“Why are you acting this way?” asked Angel.
“What way?” asked Wesley.
“You’ve been acting pretty much crazy since Fred passed-” Angel was gong to stop himself.
“I don’t want to think about that,” stated Wesley.
“So now I get it, you’re surrounding yourself with work so you don’t have to think. Or cleaning,” stated Angel.
“I don’t want to talk about this Angel,” said Wesley.
“We may have and Apocalypse on our hands,” said Wesley, he was going to tell Angel about what he’d heard.
“We’ve had them before, it’s nothing new, take a break mourn,” said Angel, “Not clean unless you’re hitting more rooms.”
“I rather leave my mourning to the inside,” Wesley sighed.
“Do something good for yourself,” said Angel.
“No, I’m sorry but something is going to happen Angel and I think we can prevent it,” said Wesley, Angel wasn’t really listening though was he?
“Did it say when this, prophecy was gonna happen?”
“No, but it’s near this century,” said Wesley, “Or week, I don’t know.”
“Anything more, I mean a century is a long time Wes.”
“Emma plays a pivotal part as Conner and you,” said Wesley, he had been checking up on his prophecies.
“Really, what?” asked Angel.
“I didn’t say I knew much about it but,” he picked up a notepad and looked at it, “It speaks of two transformations, power and death in that.”
“I just don’t really worry, things seem fine, except for that earth quake but,” said Angel.
“Things happen for a reason Angel,” said Wesley.
“Probably,” replied Angel, he closed the door, “Conner and Emma had sex.”
Wesley was putting down the notepad but then he just kind of stopped dead in his tracks, “You sure?”
“Conner told me.”
“Why?”
“I don’t know why,” stated Angel, “He did though.”
“I have no idea what to think,” said Wesley.
“Conner says he thinks he has feelings for her,” said Angel.
Wesley thought about it for a moment, “Well Conner has always been one for strong willed women.”
“She’s strong willed,” said Angel, “Angry, young, 16, I don’t think this will turn out well.”
“We can only hope,” said Wesley, “At least she’s not a Mrs. Robinson.”

Conner left his dorm looking for Emma again. He stopped and thought real hard on where she would be and he heard something. He followed the sound. The sound was like a sirens, he had picked this one out in his mind out of all the others.
Conner found Emma singing in a club. Emma had been doing that for sometime. Whenever she was sad. Nobody knew though, except Conner. He’d seen here a couple of times when out on the hunt but he never spoke to her when he was there cause they’d end up getting in a fight or something.
(Evanesence: Haunted.)
/Long lost words whisper slowly, to me/
Still can't find what keeps me here/
When all this time I've been so hollow inside,
I know you're still there/

Watching me wanting me/
I can feel you pull me down/
Fearing you, loving you/
I won't let you pull me down/

Conner watched from the middle of the crowd. She knew he was there. She looked at him sometimes.

Hunting you, I can smell you - alive/
Your heart pounding in my head/

Watching me wanting me/
I can feel you pull me down/
Saving me, raping me/
Watching me/

(choir)
Watching me wanting me/
I can feel you pull me down/
Fearing you loving you/
I won't let you pull me down/

Emma jumped off the stage. Conner was there he’d been watching her. Emma walked out of the club after a woman and probably a vampire did so. Conner followed her.

Emma stake the vampire trying to bite the woman as Conner went around the corner to where she was.
The woman Emma had followed out of the club thanked her holding her neck, she was hardly touched, “Thank you, I was gonna go back to his place, what was he,” Emma didn’t care about,” Emma didn’t answer her just looked at her.
“Slut,” spoke Emma as Conner came quietly towards them.

Emma grabbed the woman by the head and was about to snap her neck when Conner ran out.
“NO!“ He pushed Emma up against a wall and held her there, “Run.”

The woman ran off.
“Get off me!” Emma demanded struggling under his strength.
“NO, what the hell do you think you were doing?!” he demanded.
“She deserved to die,” sneered Emma.
“Why?” asked Conner.
“She’s a slut, all people that leave with someone and have sex with them are sluts,” stated Emma not struggling anymore under his grasp.
She pushed him away and walked away. He turned to look at her, “You think you’re a slut.”
She stopped, “You wanna fight?”
“No.”
“Then go away,” hissed Emma.
She started walking off again. Conner got in front of her with inhumanly, “No, I want to talk.”
“We did, that was it, remember, no more talking.”
“I don’t think you’re a slut,” said Conner, “I like you.”
“Nobody likes me,” said Emma.
“You’re stubborn.”
“You’re a bastard, that doesn’t know when to get lost,” smiled Emma in a sarcastic way.
“Why can’t you open up, it makes you a better people person, why?”
“I did enough opening up for you.”
“You did nothing wrong,” said Conner.
“Letting you in was wrong,” she said.
“You don’t know how to deal with your hurt, killing isn’t away to go,” said Conner.
“You’re trying to switch around, I don‘t like you, I hate you, I hate you so much I could kill you,” Emma stated.
“Then do it I’m not backing down.”
“Why are you this way?” she questioned her voice was softer but still angry.
“Because I know some where in there is someone nice, someone who can love, trust but she doesn’t want to come out in the open. I found that out,” said Conner, “You showed me.”
“You don’t know me at all,” she stated.
“Maybe not but I’ve seen you, you saved lives didn’t you,” he stepped forward closer to her, “I want to be near you now.”
“You’ve said that.”
“Maybe I could be your friend at the least,” said Conner.
“No, nobody can be my friend.”
“Why’d you say friends die?” asked Conner.
“Because they do.”
“How?” asked Conner.
She didn’t reply for a moment just looked into his eyes, her angry facial expression changed suddenly to, well nothing really on her face, “Quortoth, (she looked up at him, he was only 2 inches taller then her, I guess, Spike makes it possible for her to be a about 5‘9” I don’t know ,) “Make friends, and you’ll have to kill them.”
“This isn’t Quortoth,” stated Conner.
“I know, but whatever happens somebody will come along and mess things up. Reese, make friends with a slayer kill them later. Always made it easier because they didn’t think I’d do it, Reese knew though, he knew even inside me I had to be mad and that gave him his ideas.”
“But Reese is dead now, you can have friends,” said Conner.
Emma shook her head no, “No, I trusted my dad and he proved me right.”
“I wouldn’t betray you.”
“Why do you care?” she scoffed.
“I’ve said.”
“No, I don’t like you though,” Emma stated.
“Why didn’t you just kill me?” asked Conner.
“Because it’s wrong,” said Emma.
“No, you were ready to kill that woman,” said Conner.
Emma scoffed, “so.”
“That was wrong and you were ready,” said Conner.
“I don’t care,” said Emma.
Conner kissed her quickly. They held for a moment. She pushed him off.
“Now tell me you don’t care,” said Conner.
“No, I don’t,” she said stepping back from him.
“I’m not gonna stop, I don’t care how sudden this is, but I’m not going to stop,” said Conner, “I see everything different.”
Tears were going down her face, “LEAVE ME ALONE!!”
“Why can’t just admit you like me,” asked Conner walked towards closer.
“Because, Friends die, everyone dies, if you’re alone no one dies!!!” she yelled.
“Not anymore,” said Conner.
“Then I die, or get tortured.”
“No, I’d protect you,” said Conner.
“No, you wouldn’t, nobody that says they like a person turns out that way,” stated Emma.
“Then you don’t know people well enough.”
“Maybe I don’t but I don’t want to loose anybody anymore, and it wont happen,” she sneered wiping her eyes.
“You wont.”
“I will that’s how it is.”
Conner shook his head no, “I won’t let it.”
“Why do have to be so persistent, why do you have to dig this shit up?” she sobbed stressfully.
“Because I know you’ll think about it.”
Emma walked away from him.

Emma walked into the lobby like she had somewhere to go. She walked passed Spike and up the stairs.
“Emma,” called Spike, “Where’ve you been going?”
Emma kept going, she didn’t reply. Spike followed her up the stairs, “You’re acting different, you smell different as well, what’s been going on.”
Emma turned him quickly, “It’s my life, I don’t have to tell you anything!” she snapped turning away from him and walking towards her room.
“You don’t speak to me that way young lady,” said Spike following her from behind, “I want to know where you’ve been, something blew up out house you know.”
“I know,” said Emma.
“You weren’t here last night,” said Spike.
Emma turned into her room, “I know that too,” she slammed the door shut and locked it.
Emma walked to her bed and laid on it. She looked up at the ceiling. She sighed. Emma looked around the white ceiling.
She pulled her blue blanket over her head. She didn’t feel anything. Emma felt alone. Emma stood up. She took off her jacket her naked arms weren’t cold in her tank top. Emma took in a breath and laid back down to go to sleep looking at the broken glass shards on the floor from the lamp. The clock she had on the nightstand as well.
Emma had just learned how to tell time. Learned quickly. The clock showed Red lights written on it’s black T.V. like surface, the time, 1:00AM.

Conner walked into his room at his dorm. He pulled his shirt off and tossed it across the room. He went into the bathroom and looked into the mirror. He looked at that mirror listening to that heart beat sound in the back of his mind.
If he kept still long enough he could feel that sound. The thumping along with his own heart. He breathed in slowly. Just breathed for a long moment. Everything quiet. Conner brushed his hair back out of his eyes.
Conner looked at his eyes in the mirror. No reason really. Everything thing more detailed then it was to him. He actually marveled things more. Like waking up, really waking up. He could here two elderly people across town fighting when he listened hard enough.
He looked at his hand and saw his finger prints in such depth if he thought about them the right way he’d throw up. Disgusting to see your hand that way. Conner walked into his bedroom area and saw Emma standing in the darkness.
She looked awkwardly at him. Everything felt quiet and awkward about them. No lights in the room were on. Everything was dark. But Conner could see her in the dark so well now. He could see more then just the contour of her white arms hanging down at her sides. He clothes. She could tell she was wearing a black tank top and blue jeans.
He could see every bit of her. Conner went towards her.
“Lay down,” she said.
Conner did that. He laid down on the bed. Emma slowly laid down next to him. She was on his right and laid on her side next to him and put her left arm on his chest. Conner looked at her He put the blankets over her and slowly put his arms around her stroking her hair as she leaned into his chest.
Emma’s skin felt warm against his. Conner held her tight Emma closed her eyes and so did he.
