Willow sat in Angel's old living room. It was the place he had before moving into the basement below his old private investigating office. She felt cold, and she wrapped her arms around herself. Her head turns to where the sudden sound of a Zeppo lighter snapping shut. It was Spike. She still couldn't believe it....Spike was alive. Well as alive as a vampire can be.
"Sorry, Red," Spike stated as he took his long leather coat off and wrapped Willow in it.
"Spike...does Buffy know? Don't tell me I'm the last one to know...again."
"Again?"
"Yeah, all the Scoobies knew about you and Buffy before I did. Even Tara," Willow's voice lowers into a sad monotone when she mentioned her past love. It was the day before when she found out. The day that Tara was taken from the world...and her.
"I'm sorry, Willow, on two fronts. I'm sorry you didn't know, and I'm sorry I wasn't there to help you."
She stared at Spike for a moment. The clothes, the hair, the voice was the same as the Spike who tried to kill her in her old dormroom at UC at Sunnydale, but the emotion behind the voice was different. He was actually sorry. Willow reached out and gently hugged Spike.
"It's okay, Spike. I'm scaried, I'm afraid I have to become 'that person' again to stop Riley."
"Don't worry, pet. Know that I know that 'GI Jerk' is involved: I'm in with you."
"Thank you, Spike.....You want me to tell Buffy..."
"No! Not yet....I wanna do it."
The two old friends sat there until Angel walked into the room. He was holding something wrapped in a piece of cloth. "Willow, it's time."
