chapter 9: Reveal, its nothing part 1
Its was a cold cloudy morning. Buffy was in her room. She was packing up all her clothes. Just in case she had to leave. She should leave. It was better to be alone. Its was better not to connect and She had to do this assignment and then she would see where she would go from there.
She going to LA for this assignment to kill some demon. She didn’t really care why she had to kill it. Its was her job to kill things, no matter what it is. Vampire, demon, people she didn’t care not anymore.
Alec was sitting at the table, reading different kinds news papers. It was not his business to care about Lindsay. She done the job and that was the only thing that truly matters. Alec had made Lindsay want he wanted Lindsay to be. Wow, he had done good job. The only thing that made him think is what was Lindsay before he had change her.
"Hey" Darek came and sat at the table with a cup of coffee. "So what happening." Darek asked.
"Nothing" Alec put the newspaper down. "How about you?"
"Nothing much" Darek replied.
"Wrong answer." Alec smirked. "What’s happening with Lindsay. Tell me?"
"I thinks she is hiding something and I want to find out. Alright." Darek sighed.
"Its none of our business. We shouldn’t raise question about the past because. Its in the past. As long as she can help us. Its okay for now."
"what?" Darek said dumbfounded
"I might let her go." Alec continued. "You see I don't want her to get in this mess."
"She is better then all of us and your going to let her go. She will make a big blow for us and she get us out of this mess. Her life is worth it." Darek started to get angrier. "What is the matter with you?"
Alec stood up. "Don't get testy with me. You know better than that." Darek remained quiet. "She young Darek and she is screwed up."
"When did you care?" Darek questioned.
"When I stopped being selfish." Alec answered and continued. "I don't care what happened to her but I do care what’s going to happen to her if she stays and..."
"So come on. So what we are always in danger yet your not worried about us." Darek said out of the blue.
"No I am not worried about you guys cause you guys know how to handle yourself in this kind of business and she does not. Yes, she has skill. I can see that but I think that kind of skill is supposed to be used for something else. We shouldn’t be using her for our own selfish reasons." Alec ranted. It was true. Lindsay is so new to this whole thing and young. Recruiting Lindsay is a mistake that he had made and to make it worse Darek seem to be obsessed with Lindsay.
"I am not I just to know who she is." Darek defended.
"And you don't want to her to leave either." Alec added. "Look your not thinking Darek. You usually have a balanced mind and you obsession is going to stop. I am going to let her go, its safer that way."
The trigger went off. Darek took his right hand and punched Alec in the jaw. Darek stood there still angered and shocked that he hit Alec. Who was like a brother to him.
Alec glared at him. Touching his jaw. "Look I made my decision Darrek. If you want to leave that’s fine with me but you should know is that there going to hunt you. Also I don't want you near Lindsay."
Darrek didn’t say nothing. He just stared at him, dumbfounded for a second and just walked out of the building, angered. Leaving Alec standing there alone.
"Hey" Buffy greeted as walked downstairs to the main room. Alec turned to her. Which showed that he had a nasty bruise one his jaw.
"We need to talk" Alec said quickly before she could say anything.
"What do we need to talk about." Buffy asked but she was very uninterested.
"I am going to let you go after this mission, Lindsay."
"Is that why you got that little nasty?" Buffy questioned. She just felt like a freak. No one wanted her yet she felt relieved for some reason.
"Look I want you to go cause you will get into this mess or war whatever you wanna call it." Alec said seriously. “I like to call it a massacre."
"Okay then." Buffy sighed. "I don't really care." Its was true she didnt. Its was their problem. If they wanted her to help She would help but they didn’t want it so they can die.
"But I would give you place to stay and a agent." Alec continued. "You okay with that?"
"No I am not. I do not need your help. I will do this mission and I will disappear like dry ice." Buffy answered
Alec nodded. " Look..."
"I better do this mission." Buffy looked at Alec, emotionless and left through the door. Leaving Alec standing there alone again.
Its was after school and Willow was at the motel knocking on Faiths door. Willow got a little nervous but its only strictly business.
Faith open the door and looked at Willow. Surprised, Faith didn’t expect Willow would visit her ever.
"Hey Faith. Um can we talk?" Willow asked
"Kay Will" Faith replied. Faith opened the door for Willow. "So what do you want to talk about Will?"
"Angel, he is back and I need your help" Willow talked. "Xander and Giles can't know."
"What do you need me to do." Faith replied "Take him down like a dog?" Faith smiled. She heard about the whole Buffy and Angel thing and was little disgusted about Angel.
"Not exactly but I need you to capture him and he would uhh bring Buffy back." Willow continued. "But he is not the same."
"Look Will. If Buffy want to be with you guys. She would of been here." Faith said it straight out. " I know you miss your friend but if she is not your friend anymore. So move on." Its was so true. Willow should know that by now.
"So you want me to capture the dog. I will do that for you Will." Faith shrugged. "I even help you train it."
Willow nodded.
"Do wanna go now?" Faith asked and seen the okay nod. "Alright lets get the weapons"
Willow said nothing but followed Faith.
