The air around Buffy grew more colder and denser as the seconds ticked on by, the cool breeze
becoming oppressive against the warm
rays of the sun that filtered through the lifeless trees of the eerie forest.
The ominous aura of the cloaked stranger grew more closer to her, the hairs standing on her slim arms
responding to the dark, crackling energy. Instinctively, she moved her body to the other side of the
lifeless tree, panting heavily for even breath but only tiny, smoky
wisps seeped through her lungs, intermixing with the cool breeze.
“No one is allowed to trespass here,” the gruff, rough voice that belong to the cloaked stranger
echoed throughout the everlasting forest, bursting the dead silence that lingered in the woods, along with
the morning rays of the sun that cascaded through the lifeless trees.
Leaves crunched softly underneath Buffy, but still, she didn’t move a inch of her shivering body.
The fear of being caught that instilled in her heart only increased rapidly with each second that passed.
Opening her hazel eyes, Buffy searched throughout the darkening, leering forest
for any sign of the cloaked stranger that seem to resonate supreme menace.
There was no sign of his lingering, frightening presence anywhere in the darkening woods, only her.
Leaves rustled and crunched underneath her soft moving
footsteps, the ominous cawing and screeching
of crows that lingered and flew throughout the forest echoed
throughout the ice cold air that surrounded her slim form.
Then she stopped moving.
Heavy breaths were breathing down the back of her neck, blowing
tendrils of her hair fiercely against her flushed cheeks.
“You’re not going anywhere!” The rough voice whispered in her ear, large hands grabbing
Buffy by the shoulders roughly, pulling her back.
Her own hazel eyes looked directly into the cloaked stranger’s, only
to see a red, piercing glow emancipated from them evilly.
Instinct told her another presence was lurking nearby behind the
lifeless trees, watching them, but Buffy’s senses weren’t alarmed just yet.
Her small ears picked up a sound before them. A growling almost.
Almost like the sound of a panther or jaguar…
She turned her hazel eyes to gaze at a beautiful, deadly, black jaguar that stood before
the cloaked figure, it’s dark, obsidian eyes radiating that same danger that Buffy knew all at once.
The black jaguar licked its large, curved teeth dangerously, its black eyes looking at the
cloaked figure with such menace that the figure moved a step back with fear in his evil, penetrating eyes.
A small, secret smile tugged at Buffy’s lips, but she stood behind the cloaked figure, frozen in
place with awe overcoming her facial features at the beautiful
jaguar that was almost as tall as the cloaked figure himself.
Another loud growl seeped through the jaguar’s lungs, echoing throughout the misty woods, its own obsidian eyes
never leaving those of the cloak figure as it walked towards him, its large tongue lashing out dangerously.
Heavy paws thumped against the fallen leaves and branches, the sharp blades of its’ nails
glistening wickedly under the fading light of the sun as it approached the dark figure.
“Please….please…don’t hurt me,” the cloaked figure whimpered and pleaded in fear.
Another loud growl escaped from the jaguar’s throat in response, its heavy
paw almost slapping the cloak figure’s hidden face in response to his cry.
Instincts screamed at Buffy to hide, but she couldn’t lift a finger to obey it.
Fascination and awe over
the black creature that loomed before her was still etching and lingering in her own mind.
The cloak figure hid behind Buffy’s small frame, pushing her slim body in front of
the dangerous creature that stood still in front of her, ready to attack.
Her own eyes widened and narrowed at how beautiful and dangerous the jaguar was this close, boring
her clear green eyes into its own, pleading silently that it wouldn’t hurt her.
“You…don’t want me. You…. want her. Kill her!” the cloak figure continued
to plead, standing on both of his knees while breaking a branch in half.
The dark eyes of the jaguar continued to bore into Buffy’s own hazel eyes in silence.
The plead and cries of the cloaked figure were ignored completely, and the
black jaguar then lunged its elegant body at the figure, snarling.
The cries and screams of the cloaked figure pierced the
darkening sky, startling the small animals that loomed and hunted in the smoky forest.
Buffy herself hid behind another lifeless tree, her jaws
dropping to the floor in complete shock and awe, eyes widening.
The heavy paws of the elegant jaguar continued to scratch and tear at the cloak of the figure, piercing
its large sharp teeth into the figure’s chest, the dark red blood dripping from its large canines.
Another growl pierced its throat before he continued to feed on the lifeless body that was its prey, ignoring
the screeching and cawing that came from the crows that stood on the branches of the lifeless trees.
The piercing and the cries stopped, plunging the woods into eternal silence that immediately followed.
The remaining light of the sun that loomed above the sky hid
behind the lifeless trees, plunging the eerie woods into night at last.
All the surroundings that lurked around Buffy were no longer there.
Only the jaguar that sat before her still existed in her world. Nothing else mattered.
She stalked carefully towards the elegant animal, feeling its obsidian eyes watching her.
Her eyes then closed at the gruesome sight of the lifeless body that lay
before her, ignoring the stench of death that roamed in the night air.
Once she opened her eyes to the lifeless corpse, it was no longer there as it slowly disappeared into the night.
Instincts in the back of her own dazed mind told her that the cloak figure was a Night One.
She shook her head to erase the dazed feeling from her mind at once.
She walked slowly towards the jaguar, stopping just a few feet in
front of the beautiful animal as it lay its dark eyes on her still.
“I’m not gonna hurt you,” Buffy cooed in a soft whisper to the
black jaguar that was sitting lazily in front of her, lashing
its long black tail while her hand reached out to caress it.
She felt compelled to caress the soft blackness of the jaguar, to feel its exquisite fur under her small, slim fingers.
At once, the jaguar walked smoothly towards her ,gently nudging its head in her arm.
A soft growl escaped from its jaws pleasantly as she caressed
the black fur, the soft coat shining under the glow of the rising full moon.
Before her eyes, she saw the jaguar transforming gracefully into a human, its tail and animal
body disappearing to that of a tall, beautiful and arrogant human cloaking black and leather.
The obsidian eyes of Angel looked up pleasantly into Buffy’s own, a
dazzling smile tugging on his beautiful face that glittered under the starry night.
“Miss me?” he smiled arrogantly, blowing a kiss to the soft breeze.
Buffy stood before him, frozen.
“It was you the whole time wasn’t it?”
Angel cocked his eyebrow arrogantly, then smiled beautifully once more.
“Yea it was mio angelo. Surprised?”
No words tumbled from her lips, only a careful whisper that no one but Angel himself could hear and
then she felt the warm embrace of his
strong arms on hers, comforting her under the cold still of the night.
Desire and temptation to kiss him filled her deliciously once more, but
it was so strong that she couldn’t resist any longer.
All she wanted then was one sweet kiss to his soft, full lips that blazed under the moon’s glow seductively.
His breath mingled softly against hers, blowing tendrils
of blond hair softly around her still flushed cheeks.
Then she felt those warm lips of his pressed gently against hers, sending
her reeling against her mind, the sweet kisses sending
delicious shivers throughout her small frame.
Desire rosed increasingly once more and soon, the kiss became much more
passionate, filled with both desire, love, and lust
intermixing together that surrounded them like white hot fire
that burn with intensity throughout the dark of night.
It was only then till they stopped the passionate kiss when
Buffy felt suspicious eyes hidden in the dark forest peering at her and Angel hungrily.
The white mists that surrounded them like a soft blanket become more denser, billowing
throughout the cool breeze when Buffy's ears picked up a soft whisper from behind her...
