"Hello. Is anyone there?" Buffy Summers called out into the dark forest before her, the
low sounds of crickets chirping in the air in nightly symphony.
Her ears then picked up a sound from deep within the dark and forbidden looking forest.
It sounded almost like a cry for help.
Buffy stood near the front entrance of Sunnydale Woods, her instincts
screaming at her to not enter the forbidden place where so
many of the mysterious disappearances were taking place night after night.
Looking and glancing at the dark forest almost radiated an aura of danger at her.
Buffy heard the crying once more from the distance deep within the woods.
The full moon above the cloud covered sky gave off a beautiful, silver kissed
glow at her slim body, glowing it like a forgotten goddess from a long lost Greek myth.
Her heart began to pump loudly against her chest as she carefully took slow, baby
steps towards the forest, hearing the sounds of owls seeping into the cold, night air.
She took another step into the woods when she felt a rustling behind her.
Instinct told her that someone was there with her.
"Is anyone here?" she whispered, taking another step until she heard the same voice again.
"Help me," the female voice called out.
Buffy then quickly took off.
Branches scratched at her arms and legs while the cool wind
slapped across her face, her shoes crunching the dry leaves underneath her feet.
She felt a violent chill overtaking her, causing her to stop in the middle of the forest.
Beads of cold sweat covered Buffy's delicate features until a drop fell gracefully onto a dry leaf.
She soon felt a strange presence surrounding her, but it was too dark to see who or what it was.
The cool wind began to pick up, billowing her beautiful, diamond
encrusted white dress around her smooth legs, embracing them.
The sounds of crows screeching and cawing lingered in the cold air
hauntingly while smoke billowed and embraced Buffy like a lover lost forever.
Just a few feet before her stood a weathered and beaten graveyard, the
shadows moving across the old tombstones, swaying creepily against the breeze.
Before she could move, Buffy felt a firm hand on her shoulder.
She stood as still as a statue, drawing in slow, even breaths.
In one swift move, she pushed the hand away.
"Let go of me!" she snapped, her voice echoing in the darkness.
She turned around, only to see that it was a long branch instead of a hand.
There was no one there but her.
She took another even breath, trying to calm her heart down but it was no use.
Fear crept into her stomach just then.
The dark, mysterious forest became even more ominous and more
cruel looking, the dark shadows
edging closer and closer, almost as if they were to embrace Buffy in its arms.
Her hazel eyes widened as a tall shadow in front of her headed towards her.
Fear increased in her stomach and in her heart, but still, Buffy couldn't move.
"You must leave this place. You are not safe here," a male voice boomed.
Fear crossed Buffy's face, but still, she didn't move.
The tall shadow moved stealthily like a sleek, feral tiger until the full moon
filtered through the lifeless branches, revealing the stranger's face before her.
Buffy's breath was taken away at the sight of the stranger.
He was incredibly beautiful.
Tall, dark, and handsome but there was
a aura surrounding him that radiated danger and mystery off of him like a dark flame.
Buffy had to take a step back, sensing the danger that surrounded him.
He was dressed all in black and wore a leather jacket, his brown spiky hair illuminating the silver glow.
To the left of Buffy stood a beautiful, white, three story mansion, but
just looking at it made the hairs in the back of her neck and arms stand up.
The mansion radiated supreme danger and it scared the hell outta Buffy.
She wanted to leave so badly.
"Do not even think about entering this place. It is forbidden.
no human can enter it," the handsome stranger warned.
"Why?" Buffy asked, intrigued.
"A secret Halloween party is taking place there. If you enter, you will be in grave danger."
"There are forces in the night that hunt and kill. Forces that humans cannot understand. You must leave now."
Buffy stubbornly refused to obey the stranger's order.
She was oddly thrilled for a need in something forbidden.
A thrill raced through her, in spite of the danger the stranger had warned her.
He seemed to read her mind.
He stood in front of Buffy while she wondered how he could of ran that fast.
He wrapped his hand around Buffy, his sweet breath mingling with hers.
Buffy gazed at him fearfully, taking in his dark beauty.
"You must understand. You cannot enter the mansion. Once you do, you will be in danger.
They will come after you and kill you."
Surprisingly, he caressed her face gently, then kissed it.
Right before Buffy's eyes, he disappeared into the night, leaving
her all alone with his warning lingering in her mind....
She shook her head, still feeling the soft kiss from the stranger
lingering on her cheek when she heard noises from behind the mansion.
Instinct told her to hide behind the graveyard.
She didn't have no choice but to hide behind the weathered tombstones.
She quickly ran quietly across the front yard of the mansion, finally hiding behind a large, old tombstone.
Her hazel eyes peered behind the stone until she saw a couple
coming out through the front door, holding hands.
Buffy's heart picked up, praying that she wouldn't be caught.
The couple was weirdly beautiful, dressed in black, Goth clothes.
Buffy could only see them kissed passionately against a stump where a tree once stood.
She could only watch as the full moon glowed to reveal sharp, white
fangs growing from the young man's mouth, identing to needle points.
What the hell??
Buffy's eyes widened, but she could only see that the young man was sinking
his fangs into the girl's pale, soft throat, drinking her warm blood like a animal.
He's a vampire!! Buffy's mind screamed, but she could only sit there, paralyzed.
The young, handsome man continued to drink from the girl, until he
threw her unmoving body to the ground, wiping the blood from his lips.
Buffy felt like she was going to throw up at the gruesome sight but she could only clutch her stomach.
What the hell was going on here????
