Kathlin started to wander around the library, looking at which books it held. Giles watched this with interest. But as she got near one section that looked like it held some very old books, he came to life.
"Those are part of a private collection. Keep out of them.” he told her very sternly.
"I wonder what I’m not supposed to see.” she thought. Curiosity held her attention, and when Giles disappeared into his office, mumbling about tea, she pounced. Stealthily sneaking over to the forbidden section, she scanned to book titles.
"Ancient Vampires of Europe 1000-1900AD, lots of these Watcher Diaries, Demons of Early Asia.”, these books belonged in some musty old dungeon. She looked up and down the rows, noting that most of the books had something to do with the occult or supernatural, she thought "Holy, X-Files.” She grabbed one that said “Vampires of Paris” and proceeded to sit down among the stacks and read it. After awhile, she came to a section that held drawings and names of the vampires. As she looked at each one, she was hit by a stroke of recognition. There was a drawing of one of the people that attacked her mother! But there was no name. She noticed that the sketch had brown hair and brown eyes.
"Weird. I feel like I know who this is, but I don’t.” Just then, another bell rang and Xander called out “Kathlin, where are you? Time to continue the torture of school.” She laughed and quickly put the book away, marking it so she could find it again. When she came out, she saw a pile of books near her bag.
"Thanks Giles.” she called as she gathered them up into her bag. Glancing at her sheet, she saw that she had her Computer class next.
"Xander, where is the computer lab?”
