Willow threw her arms around Oz, and pressed her lips firmly against his. He accepted this, and
placed a hand on her silky auburn hair, stroking gently. Giggling with delight, Willow snuggled
her face down into the warm depths of Oz's chest.
Xander sighed jealously. Cordelia sat beside him, stroking his hand comfortingly, but he wasn't
interested.
"Quit it, Ok?" he snarled gruffly, and Cordelia glared back at him angrily.
"Like, what is your problem, little man?!" Xander chuckled, his laugh edged with ridicule.
Cordelia had had enough. Standing up briskly, she sighed sharply. "I'm sick of you lusting after
Buffy and Willow, and leaving me out in the dark, Alexander Harris! I guess you think that just
because you're a...a...a friend of the slayer, you can just do what you want! Well, if that's your
excuse, it's mine too." And with that, Cordelia clenched her fists into tight little balls, and jogged
silently out of the library.
"She's, uh, just a little intense," joked Xander, shrugging his shoulders, nonchalantly. "Such
insanity!" Willow pushed herself away from Oz, and glanced out of the window.
"Are you sure she's gonna be OK out there, Xander? It seems to be..." She paused, nervously.
"Am I going mad, or is that snow outside?" Xander raced to the window, and peered out. There
was indeed snow. "What's going on, you guys?" Willow shifted uneasily, from foot to foot. "It's
summer." Xander swallowed deeply, and Willow watched him, carefully.
"We should find Cordelia," he whispered, croakily - his throat dry with anticipation.

The street was strangely dark for a balmy summer night, but Cordelia didn't notice it. She was
too furious with Xander. As she clenched her fists for the umpteenth time, she felt a sudden pain
strike through her palms. Holding them up to her face, she saw that her nails had dug so deep
into her flesh, that they had drawn blood. She cursed herself, as she watched the blood dribble
down her wrists, in a trail of contempt, mingling with her perfume and staining her skin.
Suddenly, Cordelia was aware of a strange echoing sound. Turning away from her bloodied
fingernails, she listened intently, as the sound grew closer. A soft bead of snow, plopped upon
her cheek, and she was momentarily distracted by the realisation that it was snowing. A peal of
laughter shook Cordelia from this discovery, and she looked up. A young girl was cantering
through the empty street upon a chestnut pony, whilst giggling and squealing with delight.
Cordelia shook her head in disdain. Clearly she was hallucinating. For a start, a road which was
usually bustling with cars, was completely bare. Secondly, it was snowing. Cordelia couldn't
remember if snow happened in summer or not, but she was pretty damned sure it didn't.
"HELP ME! HE-E-E-LP!" Cordelia stared in horror, as she watched the fragile girl fall into the
slush below, landing with a sickening thud. Cordelia's mouth opened into a large round 'O' of
fear. There was something else which wasn't right here...The horse was biting hard into the little
girl's stomach, and chomping delightedly on her delicate flesh. Blood sloshed around it's jaw,
and Cordelia gasped, breathlessly.
"Oh god," she whispered. "Oh go-o-od!" Her legs buckled beneath her, as she heard the little
girl wailing for help. Something suddenly flew through the air, and hit Cordelia in the face, with a
wet slap. She didn't want to know what it was, but for some reason, her eyes flew directly
towards it. Focusing quickly on the lump of bloodied skin which lay in front of her, Cordelia
calmly lifted her hand to her cheek, and felt a warmish liquid, burning into her cheek,
uncomfortably. Cordelia knew what to do in a situation like this...SCREAM!!!!!
