"Because it's fun." said Willow.
"What's so fun about dressing up and looking like an idiot?"
"If you're the only one without a costume you'll look like an even bigger idiot," Xander told him, "besides, you never went trick-or-treating as a kid. You've really missed out."
"I beg to differ."
"Angel, man, free candy!"
"Well I'll give you that....we're not trick-or-treating are we?"
"No, we're going to the Bronze," Buffy told him, "you dress up there's no cover."
"Then why'd you bring up free candy?"
"Giles always gives us the leftovers. Believe me, there is no problem that can not be solved by chocolate."
"Can't I just pay to get in the Bronze?" Angel complained as the entered the store.
"No! Come on Doyle's perfectly gung-ho about this, join the rest of humanity and embrace the best holiday on the planet that is Halloween."
"Do I have to?"
Buffy pulled him towards her and whispered in his ear, "You either get a costume or you're not getting anything for six months."
"Huh?" he said with a look of panic his face.
"You heard me buster now go choose a costume!"
