Fred blinked at Spike who was sat with his head facing the floor.
"Why did you...you do that-that to me?" Fred asked
In reply Spike sobbed uncontrollably.
"I-i-i'm sorry!" Fred was shocked at how spike was acting.
"Fred it's ok. He's like this everyday, at your side sobbing" Cordy said
passing Spike a Kleenex. "Anyway back to what happened"....

Cordy sat in the lobby reading a mag. Gunn and Wes sat talking about anything
that came into their minds.
The door slammed open.
"Wow, Angel What happen?" Asked Gunn
"Guess...Spike. Found him standing over Fred. She's in a coma" Angel sat down
and put his head in his hands. "If i had just stopped her-"
"Angel, there is nothing you could of done. But you can drive us all to the
hospital now. About 6 hours till sunrise?"
"Yeah, ok. Lets go. But if i ever see him again i'll stake him"

The four of them walked through the hospital corridor towards Fred's room.
Angel pushed open the door when they arrived.
Spike was sat by the bed, looking at the floor. His head quickly turned to
the door. When he saw Angel he had a look of fear in his eyes and he
jumped out of the window.
"Err did that really happen? If Spike had lost his soul, surely he wouldn't
run away from Angel?" Cordy stated.
Angel looked Cordy in the eye "Then his doing it with his free will..."

"Spike, you did it to me...with your soul?" Fred asked unable to believe it.
"Yeah he did, well no he didn't, sort of" Cordy answered for him
"Sort of?"
"Well, Spike got an enemy. A enemy who knew wicca-the black kind" Gunn
explained. Spike let out another sniffle.
Angel carried on "It turned out this guy was doing something to Spike.
He found himself in front of endless dead bodies, with the blood drained out
of them after 'that night'"

Spike strutted down a ally. He saw a young girl walking down downwards him.
"Excuse me young lady" Spike got her attention "Why don't i walk you to
where-ever you're going? You never know what horrors could be waiting for
you"
"Thanks, but know my dads waiting in the car at the end of the ally. I
promised him i would meet him in a few minutes"
"Oh well" Spike turned vamp-faced "I'll send him your regrets"
He grabbed her hair and pulled her towards him "Yum. Fresh" He lisped
through his fangs. Spike bit into her neck, sucking on the sweet blood
pouring from it.
Suddenly his eyes rolled back in his head. His mouth opened as if he
was trying to talk a deep breath. His body shuddered. His hand still gripping
the dead girl. Blue smoke billowed out of his mouth. After 30 seconds, the
smoke stopped billowing, his body stopped shuddering and his eyes went back
to normal. He started at the dead girl in his hands.
"No...no...no" he whispered.

"When we found out it was too late. He had gone mad. Worse than Dru. But we
think he's getting better now" Wesley said looking a Spike cowering in the
corner. "He still thinks it's his fault. He seems better sometimes when he
spends time with Keely but not all the time. Hopefully he might go back to
how he used to be with you awake now"
Fred looked over at Spike. He looked so timid, scared and shy.
"Ok" she muttered. He had to go back to normal. For their daughter. Fred had
loved Spike since the day he had first come to Wolfram and hart. Secretly
she had been imagining having children with him. But under different
circumstances. Very different circumstances.
